…only bloody Bax Mell, crashed his car in to my garden wall
I’ll come back to you on that. Knock on the door. There’s a man outside.
Ideal scenario for me is when Zanetti did that flyover video and has Roj on the phone, Roj was thinking, ‘no brainer, he’s hiring the stadium so it’s minimal risk with little to lose for us’. We shall see I suppose.
My hope is Zanetti’s paid stadium hire well in advance of the event.

The model I suggested is pretty industry standard, so hopefully all good.
Hmm, very close to what I assumed would be the arrangement. Though whether it’s accurate or not isn’t known. I can confirm that I’m not the Sanderson account holder though.
I will say this though; you could kind of tell the way Zanetti’s been plugging it that he had the most to lose
Interesting derbies await
Looks and sounds like a complete disaster in terms of crowd numbers, event logistics and (probably) finances. Anyone any clearer on who is picking up the tab for this folly – Zanetti or our Club?
Surely Zanetti’s paying stadium hire and the overheads and the club take the bar and percentage of sales?
At least that one had a decent line up, not Poundland posers.
I’d pay not to have my photo taken with her.
Total embarrassment
One third?! That’s some reduction. Due to other acts overrunning I assume.
I heard Dirty Sterling were complaining about not being paid. Is that true?
Worse that he gets sent to a ‘spoons.

Still not getting the ads thankfully. Is it an Apple thing?
Not a bad game that. Two cracking goals.
By Kieran Maguire:
It won’t just be the fans of Sunderland and Sheffield United with an interest in the Championship Playoff final today, Premier League clubs have a vested interest too.
Under Premier League rules, clubs are entitled to three years of Parachute Payments when they are relegated to the Championship, although this is restricted to two years if they had previously been promoted and were immediately relegated.
The parachute payments are calculated as being 55%, 45% and 20% respectively of the equal share elements of the Premier League distribution to its member clubs.
This works out as £48m, £39m and £17m for the relegated clubs over a three year period.
If a relegated club is then immediately promoted, then the parachute payments it was due to receive are retained by the Premier League and given to its own clubs.
Burnley and Leeds United have already been promoted to the Premier League which saves the Premier League £39m and £17m in 2025/26.
If Sheffield United are promoted in the playoffs at the weekend this will be a further £39m.
This could result in a total of £95 million coming back to the Premier League.
Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton were relegated in 2024/25 having been promoted the previous season.
This means that the Premier League will definitely not have to pay parachute payments in the third year, resulting in a further benefit to Premier League clubs of £51 million (3 x £17m).
This could take the parachute payments benefit to existing PL clubs to £146 million.
It’s the most valuable match in world football not just for the two clubs competing at Wembley, who can be £190m better off for winning.
Beck could flourish next season. Got a good feeling about it.
No Gurnelista, life is all about Glorifying God and enjoying him forever.
Never knew you were a Cardiacs fan and disciple of the late and dearly missed Tim Smith
I get that. But still think he could do a good job for us a league lower and the experience would be handy.
Could turn out to be an excellent purchase for them.
If Roberts is moving on, I would like to see Jack Muldoon at GP, if we can afford him and he still fancies the idea of finishing his playing career at the Iron. Not agreed new terms with Harrogate, as far as I’m aware?
My point was that it doesn’t necessarily look bleak if 7 or 8 depart. Not until we see who’s replacing them. And even then I wouldn’t make an assessment about it looking bleak or not till they’ve got some league games under their belt.
I don’t think anything looks bleak until we find out who’s going and who’s coming in. Not sure how a reasonable assessment can be made yet.

Think it’s maybe an easier move if you haven’t got kids, but even then, the physical rigours of boat living wouldn’t seem appealing in old age to me, I don’t think.
I have a friend who’s planning on doing that in a few years upon retirement. Just upsizing boats. Wouldn’t fancy it myself. Not enough space for me and I do like a garden.
Maybe I had selective hearing. Sounded biased to me. I know he slated Motley whatshisname for acting but you’d have to blind not to have seen and commented on that travesty
I can only be allowed to do that for so many years. Gradually caving in.
Arron McLean (of Peterborough United fame 2010ish) was co commentator
That’s him. Filled the air time with total guff. Clearly favoured Chester too.
Been fortunate to not have to deal with them fir the last 25 years. Will soon be having to engage with them again in a few years now the birds are gradually fleeing the nest.
