Can’t have it both ways I’m afraid
I can guess who’ll be gnashing his teeth about that
If you view some views from outside Bru you’d think half the town would be turning up anticipating some sort of Swann exorcism conducted by DH parachuting on to the pitch shouting ‘loads a money!!!’
Oh yes, I vaguely recall some of that mentioned. Fairly do’s!
Why the disdain re Botty CMC? Being out of town I’m not aware.
September 14, 2023 at 11:23 am in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #272056Yes. Maybe a reflection of the turmoil ensuing and careful word choosing? Suspect its a fast moving situation, with another bucket of brown stuff getting thrown on this morning and that ‘brownberg’ getting more apparent?
Definitely – the cited consequence example.
Think you must have added your post after my reply to your first sentence Siderite. Blimey, that sounds bad. I do think That’s exactly the sort of infighting she’s staying clear of now so perhaps isn’t too aware of that sort of detail. Not going to ask her and ruin her new happiness either.
I’m sure there are. I did say in general, and I do get the impression she’s doing her best to avoid any ongoing infighting after it drove her mad, just enjoying games at Gigg again
Indeed. Though after years of infighting they are back stronger and more united. Crowds at Gigg are around 3,500 for their level 9 matches. From what my mate says, it drove good and bad supporters away for years including herself, but those that are there now are all on board and generally a great bunch
Hope you’re right Les, and there is a better ending to this than many are fearing. However, without knowing the actual financial situation of the club at the moment and what else we don’t know has been going on (hard to take Hilton’s word on aspects without more evidence he’s undertaken it) it doesn’t bode well. The views of successsful business mate of mine were quite alarming and not something I’d post here.

Lol, is it? Close attention to detail me!
Ah yes, Kieran Maguire, another one of his bette noire’s, along with Matt Slater, and well basically anyone who probes around asking legit questions.
‘announce his departure in the centre circle at the Brackley game’
Wtf? Who’s suggested that? I’d hope an emergency meeting is in the diary by now. I also hope what staff there are left and investors aren’t getting burned in all this.

Dunno. Could do with a statement from the Board soon though.
‘I do not however feel the need to…stick my tongue up his arse.’
Crikey, IFA, no, we don’t want that appearing in your autobiography do we. There’ll be enough sauce as it is!
It would appear so. The abuse Taft has had is disgusting and embarrassing for the club. Feel sorry for genuinely good employees still there trying their best.

The club’s reputation is being damaged more than it ever was with some supporters mimicking their saviours worst habits.
The deal clincher:
‘Bring back Henry Afrikas for one night only, calling it “Hilton Afrikas”, with a new head smiling down happily on Donny Road’

Still assuming an emergency Board mtg has happened or is happening ASAP and the way forward communicated to supporters stakeholders and sponsors
‘Pulled off fishy where the Scunny thread is red hot and in fairness lots of sensible comments by our black n white neighbors’
Ain’t that the truth. They don’t have to be as careful with what they say as we do on here so don’t hold anything back. We have to be more wary on Bru of potential libel and respect the site’s reputation and SSTs relationship with the club. Overall, and some may disagree, we do a good job.

‘We make the best of a bad job; learn to control our ‘oh-so justifiable moral outrage’ and perhaps give the man space to breathe. After all that has been stated in anger – we now need calmness. Oodles of it!’
Sorry Les, that’s a load of old tut IMO. It’s not simply about moral outrage is it. There are serious ramifications still to be dealt with in the Athletic article that the FA and other authorities are probably investigating. If there’s any more wrong doings he only has his self to blame if he’s punished for them. Whatever he’s done for the club so far can’t deny the law. You of all people should know that being a magistrate or ex. I suspect there’s more revelations to come and I’m concerned about a lot of the things he’s previously said about what he’s doing at the club and the actual state of affairs down at GP. Because I hear from reliable sources they are worse than before he took over.

Don’t take it to heart Pat. Seriously though, have the revelations a few days ago, those supposed baseless rumours (which were already apparant via Companies House AP01s for months), have they not given you the concern that you said you haven’t had yet? Do the further ramifications around the establishment of new companies despite being disqualified give you that elusive cause for concern?

Did you include your soapy massage antics in there? Can’t imagine Siderite has anything quite as lewd in his tome?
Word of advice for any Bru members thinking of launching personal attacks over the above three posts: don’t shoot the messengers.
If we’re evicted in 6 months time, regardless of league position, we may well see the season out but I think it’s inevitable that the added rent costs of groundsharing with reduced income from lower gates will see the club fold due to unsustainabity at some point.
I suspect yesterday’s revelations are not the be all and end all. Therein lies the problem.
