Agree with your second paragraph though I do think ‘this could all end if the hostages were released’ is very simplistic and it wouldn’t be the end of it in any case. Hopefully a longer term solution can be reached, but seems impossible.

I get from media coverage that many Israeli families who have hostages of Hamas, that they are not happy with their government’s strategy to safeguard / rescue them. How does keeping on saying ‘it could all end if Hamas releases them’ provide a suitable solution?

I can only speak for myself, but yours and JI’s posts on this subject increasingly make me feel like I ought to shut up because I’m clearly not as educated about it or as embroiled on social media about it. Do you think that’s constructive or healthy?

‘It’s not the arguments about the way the war is being conducted, but what I see as an unfair skew which does not understand the side they disagree with.’

That is the point I was trying to make. Anyway, your call, of course.

One could easily point to strawmanning in evidence from you and JI Siderite but it matters not to those civilians suffering. As I said the other day, you seem more interested in how this is being discussed on here and the wider social media sphere. JI is similarly fighting a propaganda war. The majority of posters on this subject on here point out horrific inhumanity and we’re taken down a level or two. What a state that we can’t express concern about an avoidable humanitarian disaster without feeling like we’re supposedly taking sides. Sorry if that irks, but it’s my honest opinion. Anyway, carry on Beeb bashing guys if it makes you happy. Throw in a bit more whataboutery while you’re at it. The irony.

Don’t know. Got that right though. It had a Ninian look about it. Got Burnden Park wrong, even though I’ve been there.

Just browsing some Scunny Fans Facebook Group posts from the last few days. The sheer temerity of that guy is staggering. Unbelievable gall.

Yes. Not forgetting all that business trying to obtain supporters addresses via social media – not least those who have raised thousands for club wages whilst acting as a mouthpiece for the person who refused to pay the wages and who’s has left the club in such a financially perilous place (amongst many other things).

Brown is the most common surname in London, followed by Smith. Khan way down in 10th.

True about the dates and honeymoon period. Suspicions were around based on his emerging backstory and history (filing history at Companies House, allegations from various sources including Bury fans), obviously not as widespread as it became. Anyway, don’t want to post anything else about that scheme here that detracts from this excellent new one being run by trusted custodians.

The suspicions about Hilton were already around by the time 1899 was launched, and they were based on his emerging backstory and history at the time. Different kettle of fish the current owner and Board launching a money maker and that despicable person launching one.

Will be doing similar. Can’t see that it’s confusing at all and I think it’s presented excellently. Whoever pulled it together and marketed it deserves praise not nitpicking.

Someone reported his post for containing elements of racism. I deleted it because I agreed it did. I’d rather not leave racism on the forum for any longer than it needs to be and it had already been up 7 hours. We’re not heading back to the Big J days when Matt had to take the non-football side down for months because of the proliferation of the like. Over the last few years I’ve deleted posts with no explanation but I’d like to make it clear we’re not accepting posts like that creeping in. So if anyone else viewing is thinking of doing so, think again.

‘The good times of 1960-2000’. Hahaha! Yes,the late 70s to late 80s was an absolute golden period. Who was in charge during that time of economic and social misery? Too many people expecting the government to pander to their prejudices (that they foster) without checking how much it’s all going to cost, then complaining it’s not working. What a joke.

Noticed Dean was getting a bit of stick on social media last night, and the club in one post, though I think ‘SUFC, you’ve ruined my f***ing life’ is a bit dramatic. Even I don’t think that and I’m a right misery.

For ‘things not getting actioned’ read ‘stop the boats’. That’s not a generalisation, true in this case.

‘Our country is wrecked, and is no longer in control of any problem, the trouble is who ever gets to be in Government will not action anything either, there was a time when it was a respected country and good for its people to live in, but you must admit that is not the case, and can anyone think that it will ever change?????????????????’

Hilarious. Who’s been running the country the past 10 years? Ah, yes the very people you fawned over and helped elect, abusing and insulting anyone along the way that didn’t agree with you. Not lapping it up now are you, banging on about how great your beloved Boris is?

Just to be clear ‘willing slaughter’ and ‘you seem willing to accept the slaughter of innocent Palestinians’ are quite different things Siderite. The former being a more sinister accusation. That’s not what Heath posted.

Not sure if you’re suggesting Siderite is saying that or if it’s a general observation? However, I will say that hearing numerous times on TV and radio from Israeli government officials over the last few weeks that the civilians are responsible for allowing Hamas to control Gaza is a joke. How do they think they could prevent it, in reality? Surely they are powerless in that respect?
