Our team rarely had happy endings. The beginnings were a pretty rough too.
The mood will change if he fields a naturally left sided attacker, ditches the ‘Philips replacement’ experiment and pulls Kane off at half time if he’s still aimlessly tortoising around. That said, does he have a Plan B? Be good if he started adapting and responding to on field antics.

Shaw still isn’t fit enough to train with the squad. What was the point in taking him when the likes of Chilwell and Mitchell are fit and available? Might be fit for the group stage? That would end well wouldn’t it. No decent left backs my arse!

It would appear that everything and everyone (including the players, the press and media, supporters, the Premiership and even ‘the game’) bar Southgate is to blame. On paper he may look great but the performances on the pitch for the past few years have been mediocre at best. The buck stops with the coaching and him who’s leading it. This isn’t being fickle or misunderstanding the situation, it’s been happening for years now.

‘So many nations like Romania, Austria and Turkey have impressed so far, but I don’t think their players are as good as England’s.’
Who could disagree with that?
The Premiership is over rated apparently. Take Kane and Bellingham for example. Oh, wait a minute…
Maybe he should spend less time trying to fill the apparent void left by Kalvin Philips? Wtf is that all about? Most those players are not massively over rated. Many are not performing well enough. Particularly Kane who ought to be dropped now in favour of a pacier Watkins who would drag the rest of the team upfield. At least Southgate rang the changes earlier last night. Big re-think needed. If a change in formation and system seems to work, and the players actually look like they know what the plan is, people might stop saying they’re over rated.

With all due respect to Gareth and the players out there earlier, I think there’s a bit of a re-think needed. Minor criticism though. I don’t expect much. It would be churlish to ask for more.
‘Of course not Deerey… hence me saying ‘as we are rightly told’. If I disagreed I’d say ‘as we are wrongly told’ wouldn’t I’
Oh yeah, what a silly billy I am ;)
You lot don’t know how to be happy. We didn’t lose did we? Good draw IMO.
‘But as we are rightly told, we still have our football club and sustainability is the most important thing now.’
But would you disagree with that 414? Let’s see how it looks in action once they’ve had chance to demonstrate what they can do eh?
Pretty sure the problem isn’t a dearth of happiness amongst England supporters expecting to beat every team by a number of goals
Not that I’m aware of
Or somewhere he else where he might have the chance of not being rotated and getting back to his best I’d say.

‘Tony Currie 17 caps, El Tel a mere 2!’ As manager I meant. I wouldn’t say Saka’s decision making is crap. The other two maybe. Grealish would fit right back in at Villa, from what I’ve seen of them lately.
Really don’t like these wide colour bands on the back of shorts. Looks like their underpants are are too long.
Lol, thought that would be right up your street? I like Hungary away. Simple but classy

He ought to, particularly with the most expensive supporting players in that league, but we shall see.
2 promotions from far easier divisions against clubs with much less budget. Didn’t make the grade last year despite trying to buy their way up again. Let’s see if they can do it next season and how Elliot fares with Savage managing him.
It wasn’t that long ago that England fans with high ‘win it or do one’ expectations were crying out for Grealish’s inclusion. Similar to how many cried out for Foden’s inclusion but are now going cold on him. Apparently Kane’s not ‘world class’ anymore either. There’s yer fickle.

‘Throwing the money around has worked well for them though Toffee.’
Not well enough to get promoted last season. Same as Bury throwing money around hasn’t worked for them either.
Ought to. Only one step lower mind. Wouldn’t fancy being managed by Robbie Savage
On Currie, I remember him as a character but saw him playing less. His long blonde mane would have been enough to send the old guard FA apoplectic.
Maybe but there are others in the squad that have suffered with injuries and fewer games too. One of them, Shaw, still has one! Though there is more competition for the left wing I suppose. Grealish as a starting option or impact sub would have been a good prospect I think. Personally I don’t think his off field antics and reputation for partying have helped his case. Just an observation. I think they are still okay to make aren’t they?
Suggesting Grealish didn’t make the squad due to behaviour and personality JI?
Add Venables to that list btw

‘Fairly sure I should have more than 15pts.’
Oh aye…
