Chapman and BR-E are upgrades but we had no strikers so 2 of those were necessary. The rest?????

We’re one down so I’ll take off one of my two strikers. Yeah, OK Jimmy.

But do we have any Eyres and Forresters to profit, I think not.

Based on the Bennett signing, how about this for Saturday?
    Chapman
    Smith, Boyce, R-E
    Ogle Feeney Shields Leake
    Gerry, Elliott, Bennett
Give up the CMF, lump it forward, Feeney & Shields provide the crosses, Ogle & Leake with the long throws. 5 big lads in the box for all dead ball delivery, no mucking about.

    Hope it means 4-4-2!

2 big lads up front, 2 wingers and 2 long throw FBs – get it in the box!!

Yeah Brighton away is a pretty crap draw for them but it’ll still earn them a fair few quid through TV, prize money, gate receipts. Could end up being a real game-changer for them, the way cup runs were for Exeter, Burton or Lincoln.

One day it might be us…!

For the next few seasons our main hope is getting to R1 and a big draw like Hartlepool away.

He can’t tackle fairly, he can’t pass and he lacks creativity. He runs around a lot but I just don’t rate his overall contribution. I prefer Bunker, Shrimpton, Beestin and Whitehouse in CM. I might even prefer Fewster (based on his reputation) if he ever reappears.

Early info was that Dean liked to play with wingers and get crosses into the box, worked well and proved successful. He is now playing a completely different system which does not seem to be working. He has the players to fit his previously preferred system but seems reluctant to use it. Why?

A few improved performances but generally pretty poor.
Gerry & Elliott not working separately, must be tried together.
DS-F well behind Wilson, Feeney and Shields for a wide spot.
    Beestin looked lost.
Pugh popped up all over the pitch but didn’t seem to have a role.
    Chapman saved us a point.
Bunker seems to be fitted with a rear view mirror, can’t see forwards.
2 long throwers, plenty of long throws, no end product, this weeks homework.
    Smith looked tidy.

Is this a team to win the game? How many goals (this season) in the team?

Because “the lot” has never been itemised as far as I know. Very simple to say that Coolsilk no longer has any connection whatsoever to Scunthorpe United and any of its former assets and clear things up. Sorry for being a cynic,

If less than 50% of the shares are taken up, leaving Coolsilk as the majority shareholder, then there is the potential for problems. If Mr Hilton is prepared to purchase initially unsold shares until they are sold then I would think fans are more likely to part with their money.

One question which must be a FAQ still remains unanswered as far as I can see.
Who currently owns the ground and land?

We needed more quality but seemingly opted for quantity. Not all of the newcomers are better than we had (so far) so a couple that are an improvement couldn’t be a bad thing surely.

Don’t forget guys this manager has come from NLN what do you expect. Mr Hilton should have gone for a manager from this league or a former L2 club
    We are doomed.

    Like Keith Hill maybe?

    “The SAS!
    The Sulkers & Skulkers.
Always happens when there are big squads.”

Shouldn’t they be the ones not in the team though?

Why do other teams get a ” new manager bounce?” How many more managers before we get one?

    Defence – dreadful
    Midfield – awful
    Attack – non existant
What happened? I think the Boreham Wood commentater was the only one that thought we were in the game.
Shocking, clueless performance – lucky we weren’t at home and had to pick a MOM!!

Looks like he’s preferred to DSF in the absence of Elliott and no keeper. Could be out again next week, puts Fewster well down the list.

No, bound to be a lone Gerry I reckon. Jimmy was pleased with the performance against Wrexham so I’m expecting minimal changes to that set up.

Potential bad press in the latter too. Don’t wash your dirty laundry in public. That’s what Hilda Ogden used to say anyway…

If there is then that’s fair enough but if Fewster’s gone back and Shields is injured then tell us otherwise suspicions will be aroused and assumptions made.
Matchday squad is 16 so not everybody can be picked so there’s a get out anyway.

Unnecessarily secretive isn’t it. The restaurant menu or player information, which would you prefer to know. (I know – no money in the latter)

Especially if he’s the next Ryan Yates.
