I can cope with a back 5 if we have the players but we didn’t. We had FBs trying to be WBs and 3 CBs with no pace which at least one should have. My opinion only.

I thought he said we started the season with a back 5 and finished with a back 5. I took that as a reference to putting Boycie on at the end and having a pop at those (me included) that were critical of playing a back 5 for too long.

A very valid point. We saw how few goals came from Danny Elliott when he was used as a lone striker. A more recent example – see Mark Beck.

Not usually the manager that does contract negotiations though is it? He’s told the club who he wants to keep so it’s up to them now, best of luck.

Boyce, Barrows & Starbuck should be straightforward.
Fitz, Roberts & Whitehall clearly the most difficult.
How much competition we have for Beestin, Kelly, Clunan & Maxi will surely be the deciding factor. Can’t see any of them higher than NL so we must have a good chance of keeping them.Spare a thought for les’s mates.

“10,000?
lol”9,500 in the DRE keeping dry?
almost 18 years on from that career-ending injury, he runs Global Boutique, a Mayfair-based business that deals in high-end timepieces with price tags reaching up to £355,000.”
That doesn’t compare with scoring worldies donning our colours, cassidy. Or does it ?
Wads of cash or memories in a Scunny shirt? Tough call.

Not as bad luck as Ramon Calliste we signed on a free transfer from Man United.
His bad luck turned out to be not that bad:-
“When Calliste hung up his boots, he pursued a passion for luxury watches. Nowadays, almost 18 years on from that career-ending injury, he runs Global Boutique, a Mayfair-based business that deals in high-end timepieces with price tags reaching up to £355,000.”1 user thanked author for this post.
Tempting P/T players to become F/T could be difficult. If they’re on,say, £40k Mon-Fri plus ?? for playing (no idea what P/T wages are) then they could be beyond our budget, especially if relocation is involved. Might be easier with youngsters who just want to try for a career in F/T football.
Don’t want to upset you les, I should have made it clear that I read online.
Two bits about the roadworks on the motorway, before that Feb25 and Dec24 were the last 2 articles. Neither of them to do with the actual football. Pathetic.
See GTFC football page in the Telegraph for comparison.Should be OK unless his middle name is The.

Jordan Hallam!!!! How many games this season? Must be the unluckiest player around, decent when fit.
Wonder if Roberts injury will make clubs wary given his previous record.

Always liked the look of Buckley-Ricketts when he’s played against us but he’s signed for Macclesfield.
Bang on, I had him ready for my earlier post then checked his current situation and saw he’d signed for Macc. Easily NL standard.
Maz Kouhyar (Kiddy on loan from York – flukey goalscorer) Could be available especially if York go up.
Josh Hmami (Kings Lynn) – would like to have signed him last summer. KL budget cut by new owner so a possible.Mid table budget doesn’t mean a mid table finish. I doubt very much if Tamworth or Brackley had a champions budget.
Well done mick.

I would hope that, during the season, Butler has identified at least 2 or 3 of NLNs better players well capable of cutting it in the NL and affordable.

No boos or abuse but I thought Chester were the better footballing side.
BUT – it’s the result that counts. Well done boys UTI.Would have been a loser !! 90 mins 1-1.
I thought I was agreeing with you.

Surely that’s exactly what the club were doing by selling ST holders 4 tickets?
The 2 week layoff is a worry for me.
Yes Rene. I completely understand this concern. Think we’ll see within the first 10mins how may have effected. Hopefully, not at all.
I doubt the players will have been sitting at home waiting for tomorrow. They should be refreshed and fully on board with the managers plans. (That could be a worry) Surely some innovative dead ball tactics will be in evidence and 100% successful. UTI

Local politics is full of ego’s, and now we have another layer.
Here endeth the rant.Absolutely agree but you don’t need to specify “local”. Just politics will do.
We were at the other end and weren’t sure the ref had given a goal. Seemed like an age waiting.

Should an individual be found to be reselling your passes, these will be automatically cancelled without refund. Furthermore, should the holder of a resold ticket be apprehended for misconduct at the weekend, the individual on the booking of the ticket could be subject to repercussions, just as much as the offender.”Does this mean that the ST holders with 4 tickets have to give them away?
