Certainly looked harsh at first sight but, having seen the highlights, the Tranmere defender initially indicated his chest but then gave up. No mass protest from the rest suggesting they weren’t too unhappy. As you say, very disappointing had one like that gone against us. I’m sure one will, things like that tend to even out over a season.
I also remember Damian Henderson (from Scarborough I think) Manager Richard Money described him as “the best player of his type in the division” and he was right! Sadly his ‘type’ was absolute donkey.
Or transfer him to Coolsilk?

I thought we only had room for one before Scrimshaw came, I’m sure Cox said we needed to move one out to bring in the other he wanted. As WG said – how the hell do we shift KDT without paying him up. Is getting anybody else out on loan a possibility?
“The worst player we have ever signed” is cruel, inaccurate, unhelpful, confidence-destroying and a classic knee-jerk response.”
Only used nowadays by people too young to remember Tomi Ameobi les.

I think you’re right les, we’re talking about lower league players here not internationals. Keep it simple at the start and hopefully move upwards from there.

Looks like Perry & Scrimshaw isolating then. Could be worse, we could be Tranmere, 73% possession and no shots on target. Although 27% possession in a home game is not something I want to see very often (or ever again)

Not being a massive goal threat is not really a great recommendation for a striker, particularly a lone one. On the plus side he can’t have been anywhere near match fit, when did he last play?
Could be worse Barcelona have a £1.15 billion loss and theirs hasn’t been written off.
Has ours? Have I missed something?

Excerpt:- “There have also been comments regarding the cleanliness of seats. All of the seats were washed prior to the start of the season.”
If you use this as a benchmark for the validity of the entire content of the statement then the value becomes questionable. (Unless, of course, “prior to the start of the season” means July 2020)

No no NI, he wants the fans IN. It’s the customers he wants OUT.

les!!!!!!! He’s posted again but totally ignored you!! Very rude IMO.

Oh, WG. You know not what you say.
I know DH personally and many who have connections to him. I also knew his father. Was his father Lloyd George?
Nice try les. Your chances of an answer are slightly less than clean seats at GP.

August 25, 2021 at 10:46 am in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #212562He has brought in players, characters, that have bought in to the way he wants to play the game – or so we are told! However it appears, now they are here, they have their own ideas of how to play the game and have little interest in Cox’s ideas. Can’t entirely blame them but that’s not really how it should work is it?

If you are being paid to clean dust and bird crap off seats what other motivation do you need?
I still think Thompson or O’Malley in LM would be better than Green or Hippo. Don’t rate Bunn then WG?
Just listened to the managers post-match interview which both amazed and disappointed me but explained a lot. He focussed on the fact that we led both home games and yet, due to inexperience, “failed to see the game out” His idea for doing this involved “taking throw ins slowly” and “staying down when fouled and moaning to the ref.” Can I throw another option into the mix Neil, how about trying to score another 1 or 2 (even 3) and see the game out that way.

UTI99 will be along in a minute to explain all the benefits/improvements that you and the rest of us are missing. Oh, hang on, sorry he won’t, he tends to disappear when asked to justify his optimistic and positive posts.

Cox and UTI99 – “That’s 3 unbeaten now”
Alcazar – “Swann out”
Everybody else – ” Still no wins this season”4 users thanked author for this post.
Maybe they’d all brought cash.

Interesting that corners have been noted by many. Before the season started Cox highlighted the importance of set plays in L2. Today we had 11 corners which produced no goals and, as far as I remember, only one effort on goal and that off target. We have some big lads about, surely we can do better than this especially as goals from open play could be hard to come by.

Nah! Let’s go for a 5-4 instead of a 1-0 les. Give the (reducing) crowd some entertainment and get a few more back in.

Or dare we hope for 4-3-3?
Pugh, Beestin, Perry
Bunn, Loft, Scrimshaw
Might give us a bit of a goal threat for a change.Surely has to make more of an impact than Cordner & Vincent.

Thompson better than Butroid, Perry better than Hornshaw IMO.

What would Chris Kamara say? He’d be right. If Tomi Ameobi has improved as much could we get him back?
I see him ending up as a wide left player. He’s the best crosser we’ve had in a while.
Green or Mason? – No brainer. And you’d probably get a bit of extra defensive cover when under the cosh.It was reported, on arrival, that Thompson could also play LMid. Could be worth a try with O’Malley & Thompson in together but hard to see that if Cox persists with 3 CBs. Will he go 4-4-2 at home though, we’ll see on Saturday.
Whilst I was happy with a point and the attitude of the players I am not fully convinced that they have bought in to the way Cox wants to play. Is it possible that the players believe (rightly I hope) that they are better than the over defensive tactics which seems to be the only way Cox knows how to play? At this early stage it certainly looks like there could be at least two teams worse than us.
