Unless things start to change it would be easy enough. Plenty of games where only one of the numbers needed any work.

Presumably the matchday programme is intended to be a money maker. If too few supporters buy a programme then it becomes a loss maker. The conclusion at the club is therefore, in common with most other things, that once again “it’s the supporters fault.”

Yet they were reported as “having trained well” every week!! Does that mean they turned up on time, ate all their dinner, washed their kit and ended the session with the same number of balls they started with?

I liked the interview from the manager but wish Mike White had asked him about his subs.
Millen on in midfield ahead of Beestin & Pugh was baffling.

An incredible Cox-like substitution, baffling indeed.

as for Jarvis he clearly needs more time

He certainly needs plenty of time to score a goal, refuses to be rushed. Why didn’t he just HEAD IT!!!!!!!! He’s missed 3 from inside the 6 yard box in 2 games that have cost us valuable points. IF there’s improvement in him he needs to find it quickly.

Thought Hackney played well before tiring but had 2 decent chances to hit the target and didn’t. Based on last week and this – how close does Jarvis have to be to score? Reckon Beestin would have scored both todays chances.

I’m not disputing it, I’m just puzzled that such an apparently low figure can rate so highly. Maybe a lot of solo goals that season?

That sounds very suspicious, just less than 1 assist every 2 games hardly seems like a major contribution to the team.

Be interesting to see how we line up. No Davis limits the opportunity for 3 at the back; Despite Cox’s thoughts, Rowe is not a centre back.

    Watson

    Rowe
    Onarisie
    Taft
    O’Malley

    Pugh
    beestin
    Perry/Hackney

    Loft
    Jarvis
    Scrimshaw

Perry & Hackney, no Jarvis for me.

There was no excuse not signing him on a long term contract and loaning him out. I don’t give a crap what anybody else says, we should have gone down that route.

We did!! Over 4 years he had 5 NL loans before Notts County. 46 appearances and 5 goals, tells its own story surely.

How time and hindsight improves the rose tint on those specs. Godden, Wootton & Goode had plenty of chances here and did little to impress. Arguably both Godden & Wootton were lucky to get the contract extensions they did. Godden eventually found his touch and Wootton his level. Goode has improved from donkey to passable L1 CB. No doubt those calling for the moving on of Hallam, KDT, Green, O’Neil et al will be claiming we made a big mistake letting them go in the unlikely event that they come good elsewhere.

Cox’s choice wasn’t he, rather than an agents or board proposal?

    Yes as was KDT.

Wonder if KDT will get a chance under Hill or if he’s seen enough in training. (If he’s fit of course)

Can’t beat a good rumour. Gives us something to talk about when we’ve said all there is to say (many times) about the s*** football and the running of the club.

When suggestions put forward to attract new fans there always seemed a reason why they could nt do it. It might have been an idea if one of the Team with Mr Swann had taken notes of suggestions put to them !
Not doing this gives the impression not really interested in what was said to them!

Well observed and, I suspect, entirely true.

I still think Loft could prove to be a decent player but he’s not there yet. How there can be interest from other teams based on what we’re currently seeing just amazes me. A massive leap of faith from any manager who thinks he’s a Championship striker or has the potential to become one.

Certainly, not good enough for the Championship.
Had a great history with Gillingham.
    Probably not a crock.

Mate of mine at Hull reckons he is, probably knows Bunn and been told it’s an easy life here. Dropping 2 divisions looks unlikely.

But should the decent and law abiding section of this community be doing more to educate and control those tarnishing their reputation?
Those paid to uphold the law don’t seem that interested.

As well as luck he’ll need:-
Removal of the transfer embargo by having the EFL loan paid off.
A transfer budget to bring in at least 2 or 3 better quality players.
Has he been promised these things?
If so, will the promises be honoured?

See Bunn wasn’t involved for long again. Think him and Hallam need to go.

    Where to?

think Loft has already moved on in his own head. Didn’t he say not long back that he was looking to move on in January ?

He’ll have to start scoring at the right end if he’s hoping for a move.

Bunn Kenyon amongst others need shipping out ASAP.

    Where to?

” I’ve been encouraged with speaking all week with Peter (Swann, chairman)”

Yes, we were all encouraged in the beginning Keith.

Who’s picking the team? Hill, McMahon, Swann?
