Wouldn’t even have Slocombe as back up to Campbell.
Wow guess he’s pants then cass, wonder how he kept playing in the football league so long being absolutely garbage, fascinating how these guys keep playing for so long.
Just my opinion on Slowcoach, never rated him highly. A decent shot stopper but sadly lacking an all round game, not commanding enough due to lack of physicality. Timewaster from kick off even in home games.
Mussy played plenty of games in the FL so we might as well have him as back up and save money.Wouldn’t even have Slocombe as back up to Campbell.
Top end of the pitch looking good but the rest looks a bit thin. As DSGM says, keeper is key, we obviously need another but will it be a first choice or do they think Campbell is ready.
Yes, didn’t we sign the German fella (Duran Duran or something) based on video evidence?
Oops… forgot about Carlton.
Happy with our strike force.
Got to be 4-4-2 … need a bit of steel in midfield and a creative LM.
And a lad to stand between the posts & play sweeper keeper. With the signings (+ Eze maybe) it’s looking more like 3-2-5.
Pair with Clunan in midfield and we are starting to look tasty!
Or with Danny up front leaving your love child on the bench?
Sorry. I mean’t why are they? Not why do you want to know.
I’d love to know who’s driving this seemingly anti trust agenda
And why?
Dawson & Howe? I guess that means farewell to Danny.
Yes, I agree. Anyway how can you choose between “new signing” and “player retained” without knowing details. I’d take “player retained” every time if it was Roberts or Whitehall and the “new signing” was an 18y.o. as cover at RB or Sam Slowcoach.
Up 3 divisions so has to be a good opportunity, probably the highest level he’s played. Best of luck Ross, just don’t expect as many clean sheets!!

Controversial!!!!!
Have we signed him or has he bought us?
I think they got him ‘cos they couldn’t afford the fee for Beck.
Are the shop staff employed by Terrace?
No.
Then I don’t understand 64s’ post, care to elaborate 64?
So Terrace run the club shop not the Club?
Presumably they pay a commercial rent though?

Had a chuckle at this. The Cods have just signed a NL “striker” who got more yellow cards than goals last season.(Plus a red for good measure)
Bookies have us as play off contenders? I’ll take that!
Agree with IFA re Yeovil, don’t expect that 100/1 to last long.“York City owner writes open letter to EFL … cant disagree with it”
Unless you’re a Southend supporter of course.
York city have a short memory, National league North 2021/2022, York were promoted to the National league in the play offs despite finishing in 5th place 21 points behind Brackley who finished 2nd.
Best this York city owner keeps her mouth firmly shut! She’s in line with much of the youth of today, if it happened “before their time” then it didn’t really happen.

I quite like it.
You sound surprised!
I’m pretty sure that Michelle has also stated that we will now only be offering out 1 year deals??
Needs to be 1 year plus a years option at least. I doubt if we’ll attract much quality with 1 year only deals. Valid points above re wages versus length of contract for players.
I can cope with a back 5 if we have the players but we didn’t. We had FBs trying to be WBs and 3 CBs with no pace which at least one should have. My opinion only.

I thought he said we started the season with a back 5 and finished with a back 5. I took that as a reference to putting Boycie on at the end and having a pop at those (me included) that were critical of playing a back 5 for too long.

A very valid point. We saw how few goals came from Danny Elliott when he was used as a lone striker. A more recent example – see Mark Beck.

Not usually the manager that does contract negotiations though is it? He’s told the club who he wants to keep so it’s up to them now, best of luck.

Boyce, Barrows & Starbuck should be straightforward.
Fitz, Roberts & Whitehall clearly the most difficult.
How much competition we have for Beestin, Kelly, Clunan & Maxi will surely be the deciding factor. Can’t see any of them higher than NL so we must have a good chance of keeping them. -
