He was given his debut about 20 months ago in the League Cup Vs Derby becoming our youngest ever player, so I’ve always found it a bit strange that we haven’t seen him anywhere near the first team since.
There were rumours of Arsenal sniffing around at that time too.
Can’t find the football league stats but Premier League injury lists are usually very up to date for things like fantasy football.
Out of the 20 clubs the current average number of first team injuries is 4.63. If it is 6 first team players we have out injured then there are 6 Premier League clubs that have the same number or higher.
We aren’t unique.
Same old repeated crap coming out of Swanny’s mouth! “We didn’t have a proper pre season.” Neither did any other team Peter. “We had training sessions in groups of two.” So did every other team in the country Peter! We’re just shit and I can’t see it getting any better any time soon.

If fit I’d like to see:
Howard
Howe
Onariase
Bedeau
O’MalleySpence
KaracanGreen
McAtee
EisaOlomola
What we’ll probably get is Loft running around like a headless chicken chasing massive hoofs from the back…then when the ball does eventually get near him it’ll either bounce off his knee/shin to a Carlisle player, he’ll sprint off and forget to take the ball with him or he’ll aimlessly punt the ball into touch.
I, for one, cannot wait to watch.

Having had to endure a few away commentaries this season, I’m very pleased we have Mike and Tom on board. They do a great job!

Every Loft goal as earned us points.
Real shame he’s only scored 1 in the last 10 games then isn’t it? Might also help if he could control a football.
Nice to see Loft back to his best today. Probably the most frustrating player I’ve ever watched in an Iron shirt! We’ve seen he has some ability (albeit in a limited number of games) but days like today he’s one of the worst strikers we’ve had in recent history. 1 goal in 10 games, time for a spell on the bench and let Olomola have a run.
Dieng has now received a two game ban for “misleading the referee”…and a deserved one too! The Southend manager’s comments regarding the ban are just as embarrassing as Dieng’s theatrics.

Great result and not a bad performance. Defended really well at the end to just about keep the clean sheet in tact!
No shots on target in 99 minutes yet Beestin scored a goal? Very odd.
Rubbish players, rubbish game. Not much more to say than that really.
So…damn…boring!
To be fair Awaywego makes a valid point. In my line of work if somebody accused me of racist or homophobic comments and I was found guilty…I’d be straight out of the door with my P45!
Bit peeved about their goal, I thought it at the time and upon watching the replays Rowe definitely kicks the ball onto an Oldham players leg before it goes out. Then we get a weak clearance from Bedeau and surely Howard should be doing better, the ball went nowhere near the corner of the net.
Apart from that I didn’t think we did too bad, can’t remember another real chance that Oldham created and was nice to actually see us finishing a game strongly which hasn’t happened very often in recent seasons.
For a big man Loft needs to learn how to control and hold up a football…so frustrating to watch. Clarke probably my MOTM.
As long as Cox continues to improve I’m happy. We’ve accumulated more points than we did last season having played 3 games less and with a much lower budget, so we’re definitely moving in the right direction.
That being said, if this is the pinnacle of what’s to come going forwards and into next season then I’d be happy to see him gone.
On his day can win a game from absolutely nowhere (Port Vale away this season springs to mind). But…clearly wants to leave, has looked completely lost out on the pitch lately and I think with more game time we have a talent in Devarn Green.

Probably our strongest side considering the injuries. Tough that three of our better players are vying for the same two central midfield berths!
What a strange move! Still banging them in at League 1 level. Must be the lure of a 3 year deal.
You heard that sort of thing being said about us after a game this season? I haven’t.

Cox with his usual post-match bluster…”they’re a good team and passed the ball well.” No Neil, they’re piss poor and had scored a whopping 3 goals in 10 matches before today’s game. Why do we act like we’re up against Barcelona every week!?

The one on Kev was a pen for me, so too the one on Spence. Yes Spence was clearly looking for it but anywhere else on the pitch it’s a foul and we’ve had more than one of those given against us this season.
If Gilliead wasn’t brought down he was 1-on-1 with an out-rushing keeper. No chance the covering defender on the far side would have gotten anywhere near him…clear goal scoring opportunity…red card.
Not sure what Hallam does in training but in games he’s shown absolutely nothing to be worthy of a starting spot, especially with Lewis “The Engine” Spence sat on the bench. Glad he was taken off when he was.
Ref crap today. How he didn’t award a penalty or send someone off I’ll never know.
We were pretty crap too. Showed a very poor Orient far too much respect, especially in the first half. Every time they had the ball it was immediately 10 men behind the ball applying zero pressure allowing Orient to pretty do what they wanted. Second half was better but overall it was boring to watch…again.
Hopefully it won’t go on too much longer…they only justify the means if we’re happy being a bottom 7 club in the Football League.

Newey said it and I 100% agree…Gilliead is the only player we have who can keep possession and play intelligent football when under pressure. Nobody else is good enough to do it, the best they can do is play the ball backwards to a player who then immediately hoofs it forward.
BS – very generous marks there. I’d struggle to give anyone higher than a 5.

So so bad. We’ve got nothing.
I’ll take another point gladly against such a good side and our well documented injury concerns. We haven’t drawn many this season, maybe tonight they will be like buses and come in pairs. 1-1 sounds ok to me and no more bloody injuries.
Just goes to show how dramatic our fall has been when we think a point at home against a team 8th in League 2 is a good result.
Definitely seems a bit off at the minute, understandable given the injuries. But that discussion with Eisa about the penalty shouldn’t be happening on the pitch, the penalty taker is obviously decided long before the game so it shouldn’t even be up for discussion.
Clearly sulking when he got substituted too.
These last few away games have really made me appreciate Mike White and Tom Newey!
Stonewall penalty, no doubt about it.
Spence MOM by a country mile. Hippolyte played well too. Clarke definitely a better centre half than fullback these days.

Draw would be a very decent result, but we either win or lose so it’ll be a loss today.
Must be a generational thing…on the @sufcofficial Instagram post the overwhelming majority of comments are lapping up shirt no.4!
