We got rid because he was shite and an absolute calamity for us (along with the rest of the defence) in our League 1 relegation season. If anyone had told you back then that he’d be a Premiership defender they would have been laughed all the way to the mental home! Fair play to him though.

I don’t see Hill being much of a mug, quite the opposite. If Wilson was tearing it up in training and better than those already in the squad then I’m sure we’d be seeing more of him. We’re not, which to me suggests he’s not ready yet.
He’s always been shit. Can’t control a football, can’t finish, can’t pass. The odd occasion he does bring it under control he either tries taking on the world, trips over his own feet or plays the completely wrong pass! I’d rather Jarvis and Scrimshaw started.

Based on last week and this – how close does Jarvis have to be to score?
Why the heck didn’t he just head it in!?

So joint top assists per minute in the league across an entire season isn’t a major contribution? How can one contribute any more, considering nobody else in the team got anywhere near those stats?
Find some of the comments above a bit baffling, Hakeeb couldn’t have done much more for us in his final season…he registered 0.4 assists per 90 mins which was the joint highest in League 1 that season!
Why don’t you give the juicy insight, or are you bound by a high court gagging order?
Realistically think this was the best appointment we could have hoped for from the available options (Nige was never going to come back!). Hopefully he’s able to put some fight and determination in this squad and tells Swanny where to go if he tries to do any meddling!
Really wanted it to work out for him but he just hasn’t been good enough from day 1. Will be very interesting to see who comes in but my money is on Swanny taking the cheapest route possible and that’s promoting McMahon.

Correction: Millen skinned for second goal.
Think Watson should have done better too, wasn’t exactly in the top corner.

Well here we go again then, absolutely shocking defending!!
McAtee scored one solitary goal under Hurst…I’d say he played his best games for us under Wilcox.

If we lose on Saturday that will be ONE win in 27 games of football. An absolutely ridiculous stat that would surely mean the trigger being pulled??
That’s quite the stat, but makes 100% sense. Teams don’t really have to defend against us…when was the last time you saw someone break the offside trap bearing down on the keeper in a 1 vs 1 opportunity? Probably Eisa vs Bradford last March…which is how far you have to go back for our last win prior to the Tranmere game this season!
It’s not the worst squad in the league, Swann said we’re good enough to stay up. He never tells porkies.

Last night was embarrassing, we had no intention to win that game or try to extend our lead once we got it. Barrow had 80% possession. F*cking 80!!! It was awful to watch. We got lucky and deserved to lose, the players are shit, Cox is shit, the chairman is shit…it’s just shit all round!

If he is serious in wanting fans to return you have to treat fans with respect.
…and offer at least a little incentive to hand over your hard earned, you know like maybe winning more than 1 game in 24 attempts!
Don’t worry, as Swann says we’ve got 35 games to turn it around…and all it’s going to take is a little bit of energy and determination.
The guy is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Here we go again then, game over…

Watching on iFollow and yes we’re losing but apart from the Tranmere game it’s probably been our best performance this season. We’re actually making more than 2 passes in succession and have created a lot of decent chances.
I’d say he’s looked better than Taft who, since his loan spell, hasn’t looked like he has any desire to actually defend!
Zero quality across the entire pitch. 1 win in 19, zero goals scored in 12 of those. Swann is well and truly destroying this club, only one place we’re heading and that’s non-league.
What’s up with Loft, why is he still out?
O’Malley vs Thompson is a good headache to have. O’Malley’s delivery is always spot on but for me Thompson has probably been our best performer so far this season. Play both?
Hallam back in the squad, wonder how long he lasts this time!? Great start so far.
Cox is very much part of the problem. I can’t be bothered to work it out again but last season I posted a decent stat that showed around 88% of our points were gained when playing either 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. Why does he continue to think that playing 5 at the back will work!?
Before the game they had as many wins as us this season…just shows how crap we are!
Yes, with a sprinkling of Turk. The myth needs dispelling that he was a Swann signing. He was here on trial and played in a friendly vs Watford. The blame should be firmly at Mr. Cox’s door!

Don’t expect Coxy to change, especially considering our best results away from home last season came after playing 11 men behind the ball, having 30% possession, 1 shot on target and looking to play on the counter (1-0 wins at Cambridge, Colchester and Port Vale spring to mind).
Last season there were times where he looked like grease lightning. Haven’t seen that at all yet this season…either something must be up, or League 2 defenders have gotten a lot quicker.
