Wood more than justified his selection and was our best player yesterday. Hackney, not so much. Thought it was strange not to start Scrimshaw. Yes he only had 1 day of full training but when joined he barely had any and put in a MOTM performance!

The writing was on the wall as soon as Manny got sent off. Cox just doesn’t know how to adapt to games and change things. We probably would have ended up with the same number of shots on goal and possession stats had it remained 11 vs 11.

I think in Adkins first game in charge when Crozzer tucked away that penalty in injury time, you could smell something special was brewing that season!

We could and should have won at least 4-0 vs Tranmere!

How long is Loft out for? Would like to see him and Scrimshaw up top, can see it working well.

Forest away was a definite thrashing. Good memories!

Don’t think I’ve ever felt a feeling of such deflation since that 95th minute equaliser!

Think it was Ben Liddle the season before last. Made a couple of appearances but didn’t look very good. Now on loan at Queen of the South from Bristol Rovers.

Hopefully Scrimshaw can be that finisher we need. Can also see him working well as a partnership with Loft. I think if either of those were in the team on Saturday we would have finished some of those clear cut chances we created!

He worked hard without ever really doing much…apart from one of bits control from a high ball I’ve ever seen from a Scunny player.

Have to give credit to Watson, he’s looked a lot more solid so far this season! Hope he keeps it up.

Centre backs looked strong. We should be much better offensively when Loft, Scrimshaw, Bunn and Perry come back into team.

So, who do we have out injured?

    Bilson
    Millen
    Kenyon
    Hallam
    Loft
    Bunn
    O’Neill
    Jarvis

I make that 8 first teamers, 10 if we include the two more potentially out because of Covid. Injury lists are readily available and up to date across the web for Premier League teams (used for things such as fantasy football). Having a quick look, there is not one Premier League team with the amount of first teamers out injured that we have. Arsenal have 8 out (which includes 3 due to Covid) and they’ve roundly been labelled as currently having an injury crisis. So yes, going by this I believe we get a ridiculously high amount of injuries that is largely incomparable to most other clubs (at least in the Premier League).

You’ve already answered your own question, nothing has improved except the ticketing system.

    Players are worse.
    Coaching staff are worse.
    Stadium is worse.
    League position is worse.
Debt is worse (before we had our club assets stolen).
    Attendances are worse.
Just the overall feeling towards the club is worse!

Match thoughts – we were crap, Sutton were crap but better than us…and without some good saves from Watson and them missing absolute sitters we could have easily lost by 3 or 4!

So we cry out for a striker, supposedly bust a gut to get him in only to put him on the bench? If he’s been involved with Bournemouth’s first team like Cox has been professing (although I had a look and he hasn’t made their squad at all this season) then surely he’s fit so just throw him in there and let’s see what he can do. Can’t be any worse than playing Green up there!

Personally, and this is probably an unpopular opinion, I’ve never understood what the fuss has been about over him. He’s terribly slow on the turn going back towards his own goal and got caught out multiple times last season. Always seems to take too long on the ball and either gets caught in possession or immediately looks to go backwards. He has a decent set piece delivery but that’s about it.

Thompson seems the better option going on the 3 games I’ve watched this season. Was surprised he didn’t start last night given he was probably my MOTM vs Rochdale.

That’s a scary looking starting 11 and an even scarier looking bench. Surely we’re busting a gut to bring players in…surely!? Why did we give Hallam a contract?? Unbelievable.

Not really rocket science is it, if Cox thinks he’ll do more damage to the team by being on the pitch than off of it then he’s not going to play him.

Has the stadium gone fully cashless though? I paid for a coffee and mediocre pasty with cash in the Cluggy stand vs Swindon.

Agree with Les on Kenyon, he’s either massively unfit or just a terrible footballer. So, so slow…can barely get within 5 yards of an opponent!

O’Malley has a better all round game

Disagree, Thompson looks decent and is a heck of a lot quicker. O’Malley really struggles with pacey wingers.

Decent enough point, better second half. In desperate need for that striker to show up!

I never like to jinx prior to the match but that team looks weaker than most NL teams.

Why not play a RB? Why not play O’malley.

Because Pugh played better there than Rowe throughout pre-season? Because Thompson is deemed better than him?

BS – jeez, chill your panties and just admit you were wrong. The last 24 league games plus 1 cup game vs Barrow yielded 6 wins…not the 2 you originally stated. Just merely stating facts.

Sorry I was incorrect mate, it should have been 2 wins in 21 matches, and not 25. But either way, it is reallypathetic isn’t it, probably the one win in 18 matches is even worse.

Yep it’s an absolutely pathetic record! Rochdale already feels like a bit of a must win game…I don’t buy into the “give him 10 games” malarkey, we’re already making the exact same mistakes as last season.

You seriously need to get a new source of info BS – in the last 25 competitive games we’ve won 6, drew 7 and lost 12. Still a terrible record but stop making shit up ffs…AND SAYING IT IN CAPITALS DOESN’T MAKE IT ANY LESS OF A LIE!

We also beat Carlisle 1-0 at home in our third league game of the season. Think you need to throw your information in the bin, you’re making yourself look a little stupid.

Very disillusioned with everything that’s been going on the past few years but I’m a glutton for punishment so will be making the 420 mile round trip tomorrow…and actually looking forward to it. I’m sure I’ll be regretting the decision when we’re 2-0 down within 30 minutes.

I’d probably go for the exact same lineup as NI. You could easily swap Pugh, Thompson, Kenyon and O’Neill for Rowe, O’Malley, Perry and Hallam and I’d still be happy. Given the latter four all played against Grantham though it’ll likely be much closer to NI’s lineup.

Don’t think he’s going to come out and say “our current lot are crap, so he’ll walk straight into the starting 11.” But I agree, we should only be signing better than what we’ve already got.
