Or maybe he’s been brought in to replace Matt Roberts.
Being Ian Sharpe’s mate and a Cambodian “Real estate” vendor is not something that I immediately expect to be the prerequisites for pushing a football club forward.
Maybe his brief is that he’s going to be working a shitload of (otherwise unreachable) contacts for investment into the Club.
IMO It was a bit of a strange appointment and im yet to see anything positive CEO Roberts has brought to the table.
Bike nights, Andy Cole evening, Tom Zanetti event, yada yada.
Since arrival dialogue between the fans does seem to have reduced and that is how we ended up in a mess – disengagement !
Said as much on another thread regardless of Sharp rattling on about transparency club to fan communication other than the Trust has dramatically reduced on most issues except for selling STs sponsorship and merch.
It looks to me like a certain faction at the Club wants to trade heavily off Michelle and Roj’s community vibe and hide behind the goodwill while also drawing the curtains and shutting the doors.

He did a podcast with Iron Hour.
Sort some complimentary tickets because some people booked on a private coach? What Nonsense!
I reckon I should get one, I filled my tank with Fuel expecting to get a ticketExactly. It’s probably highly annoying for some to hear, but the coaches are merely a means of travel, and in no way a guarantee of a ticket. You’d hope there’d be some joined up thinking in the future, and that those organising the coach transport would be able to work with our club and other clubs towards putting together a travel plus ticket package.
Regardless of the ins and outs that have caused Maw’s paddy over the Hereford ticketing situation, any mental health issues aren’t going to be helped at all by the knocking he’s receiving here, or the Facebook group or on X (Twitter). But I suppose that’s modern life – if you live by the social media sword, you die by the social media sword.
Yet more business blandness sweeping away the community vibe?
Some fella on FB advising ST holders to check their settings with regard to receiving emails as it appears quite possibly some may have ticked the NO box thus blocking them.
I shot myself in the foot but it’s your fault.
He’s making a complete fool of himself, the big bloody baby. We’ve all missed out on tickets for stuff we feel we should have been able to get to! You just have to take it on the chin.
Mr Maw has well and truly spat his dummy out. Didn’t get a Hereford ticket so has taken his SUFC flag down and stopped all fundraising. What a pathetic creature! Oh dear oh dear
I think he is trying to crack a joke.
If we get promoted this season I don’t see the Club actively aiming for anything other than stabilising next season. Survival, with mid-table a bonus, will probably be the order of the day given to Butler. We have got to, as I’ve said elsewhere, face the fact we’ve almost certainly found our level. Yo-yoing between the division we’re in and the one above could be about as good as it gets.

Don’t you mean “AI has gone too far when it can just bastardise Michael Buble-esque slop and turn it into an autotuned piece” ..?
The advantage is definitely with Brackley (two home games), but anything could happen so it’s too close to call. The picture may well not be much clear after Good Friday’s matches. It is almost certainly going to go to the last game, this.
Apparently it’s something to do with monies going into a personal account.
Oh dear!
For clarity – Jerry didn’t mention “personal account” (if we’re looking at the same post on the cult page). He said “banking app”. Not quite the same thing.
Something has gone wrong with the money for the coaches v Kings Lynn.
Like someone said “this lot couldn’t run a bath”.
If the organisation and accounting for a simple coach trip has gone a bit awry, what hope is there for the rest of it?! Hope they get sorted.
While we are talking daft Clunan to score would be a bigger shock
There’s always someone who takes it too far.

Fitzsimons to come up for our last minute corner at Hereford when it’s 2-1 and we need a draw…

April 12, 2025 at 10:56 am in reply to: Has Whitehall Played His Last Game For The Iron – Yes or No #302124Don’t think AB is taking anyone for a fool, Whitehall has played his last game for us IMO but to keep moral up Butler does not want to confirm it, basic football logic to keep opponents guessing.
Probably this.
Oh I was a fan of Lee, nobody spoke up for him more than me on his return from Peterborough, bought the bullshit but his actions told a different story, then in the end he attacked fans with sending the police in unforgivable.
I to will not be renewing my season ticket.Every cloud and all that.
Did you not like the “United we Stand” stuff Apollo.
The sentiment was generally good but the designs were utter crap.

Yes a shit show, going from personally designed products to a generic product base, “United we Stand”
Personally I’m pleased to be free of the absolute tat that was on sale over the last 18 months. The design work was generally appalling. I really don’t like the way Merch Labs seem to have been treated, though.
The supporters have been let down so far – they had better get this right !
For one of the most sensible and reasonable posters on this site, I’m very surprised to read this sort of entitled rubbish. Supporters don’t “deserve” anything, our support is not conditional.
We’d all like to have steamrollered every side we came across, won every game, been 15 points clear and all that stuff. But if last season didn’t teach you that the division is harder than expected (whatever the quality of football) and that it’s a real grind to get out of, then you weren’t paying attention.

Feel sorry for all the fans who have backed requests from the club to get down and support the team. The supporters have been let down so far – they had better get this right !
We’re at the top of the league with our destiny in our own hands. How is that letting down the supporters?

How long can we afford to wait? Tough decisions have to be made and sometimes the club get it wrong. A list of released youngsters that subsequently failed to make the grade would be extremely long.
This whole argument also doesn’t account for the fact that it’s not just the player themselves. It’s not a straight line from talent to success, and there are no guarantees. Success also involves a combination of environment and ‘the right people’ for the player’s character, and it being ‘the right moment’. Not saying Scunthorpe haven’t had this important combination on occasion, I’m just saying a single club can’t necessarily make the most of every single good player.
All about can our players take the pressure ?
I’d say it’s all about can our players apply the pressure, and from the off.
Club hoping to have something shop-shaped online by the end of the week, apparently.
Tbf, the addition of Example is decent. The rest aren’t cutting it for me though.
“Tbf” is the crucial thing, here, really. If it’s not your taste, it’s someone else’s. It may well do quite well. There are a lot of people who are into that kind of stuff. I hope it’s a success, and the Club move forward and do something a bit more family or discerning music fan friendly.
Now it just needs Herbert to attend with some party pills with Hilton’s face on them.
1899ers
You are correct Awaywego. Didn’t bother to watch the “highlights” because I was there and there weren’t any.
What I’m saying is, if the effort by Roberts that hit the bar and the one that was tipped round the post go in, it’s a different story. Performance not lauded, of course, but would largely be forgotten. Fine margins.
