Is there a downer on Whitehall ? He was instrumental in achieving the result, we won’t win this league without him.
He won’t stop playing to get a move, he’s a top professional with skill, ability and pride. Hilton stopped paying (other than a burger and signed Ilkeston shirt) because…….?
When was Toney shite ? I must have missed that game.Agree with all that’s been said. I thought Barrows had a great game. Nicholson looks like an excellent signing. Denton looked a bit shaky at times. Whitehall didn’t seem happy and after the first half I thought Carlton will walk straight into the team next week but it was a great finish by him and he did well for Fishburns goal. Marine couldn’t cope with the substitutions, we’ve got some great options, Brogan and Rowley both looking good.
Only 2 games in so we should only get better.3 users thanked author for this post.
Be realistic 414. Success will come.
Awaywego, I’ve got an idea which explains what you say about the money he put in but any such theory would be libellous toward Hilton.
So I guess we’re left with “Thanks for buying us the time Dave.”At least he isn’t playing against us next season, imagine if he’d signed for Kidderminster, Chorley or South Shields..?
Maybe not arsenal !
I think Wilson is a good player with a lot of potential who suffered from starting his playing career in 2 of our worse seasons ever.
There was actually some merit in last season’s system of loaning players out in the same league to play against rivals but not us.
Anyway, good luck Cam.1 user thanked author for this post.
Cameron Wilson has signed for Scarborough.

If the officer just walked into the situation at that point and booted a guy laid on the ground then you’d be right. But he didn’t.
In the circumstances, some of which we’ve now seen, I think Burnham’s comments were exactly what needed to be said. Whilst you can come on a forum and go off half cocked after seeing part of a video with no context whatsoever, Burnham realised there’s more to it than that.
Not sure what field day Tommy Robinson will have he’s not particularly keen on the police himself from what I’ve seen.I don’t think it’s that simple 64. We can watch it and go reasonable, reasonable, fair enough, reasonable – kick, stamp, – unreasonable. But we haven’t been punched in the head ourselves, or gone through any of what that officer is experiencing at the time. Is he even capable at that point of reason ? Look what happened with Butterfield when a ball got booted in his face from close range last season. All of a sudden he’s squaring up to people and shouting at them, subsequently he has to have 2 weeks off due to effects of concussion.
I’m sorry if you feel that way, I worded it like that because that is what I was doing. I’ve had 2 days to think about it and then been able, after a very nice relaxing Saturday, to have the luxury of watching the longer video several times sat in TJO Towers, actually drinking tea, and considering what happened.
I think the officer probably will be charged and a court will have to decide.
Whether I think it is acceptable or not is irrelevant, I get to sit in my armchair and comment on the news, sipping tea and dunking biscuits, whilst the police officer gets to have 7 bells knocked out of him and then whilst seeing stars and possibly concussed, get to make a split second judgement on the use of reasonable force.Like I said, easy.
Have a sip of tea, maybe a beer, have a good think about the rights and wrongs.
Now, take a few punches, be grabbed around your neck, get pulled to the ground add a little bit of fear for your life, a dash of shouting and screaming and then make the same decision in half a second.
As Tyson said “everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”Easy to pontificate from the safety of our armchair
Can’t wait to get my New Years Eve Kings Lynn Town programme.
According to Butler on radio Humberside last night, the latest is –
Fitzsimons staying (at least Butler and Fitz haven’t been told otherwise).
Braithwaite, they like him and he’s got another trial game with us at the weekend.
Abraham, is a possibility but he has also has a trial game at Gainsborough.
Hunter, has a trial at an efl club and offer in Ireland so won’t be signing.
Burden, trials at other clubs and Gainsborough, Butler says they are helping him get another club.
Ferguson, enough cover in his position and no place for him since Nicholson signed so won’t be staying.3 users thanked author for this post.
I’m still laughing awaywego, thanks !
Flippin ‘eck, very emotional. What a superb video, many thanks to the club and all involved.

I don’t know about the cult page as I can’t access it, but most fans on here, other than you 414, seem to be pretty realistic about the signings. Between Swann and Hilton the club has been run into the deep brown stuff and the fact it still exists and has a fighting chance of beginning a comeback is something that all genuine fans will be thankful for and if some of the players are young lads then so be it for as long as it’s necessary.
I’m with Deerey that a rat is smelt and that if you’re not Hilton then you are some Cod troll or other entity stirring the pot. I suspect you possibly are Hilton, if so well done on keeping a lid on your posts and not descending into some club killers rant. The Labour Party will make our lives unbelievably different
Indeed they will.
Thought he might have fancied working with Roo at Plymouth Argyle!
Hopefully they recreate that goal at Iron aid if only to stick 2 fingers at Swann who threw Morris under the bus, in my opinion.
I don’t like donating money to a private business either, but as things stand what we get in return is the continued existence of the club and more money it can spend on getting us promoted out of this dire league. The fact that the stadium is owned by a community interest company means there is little to no chance of any Hilton type characters taking over and cashing in later on.
There should be a point in the reasonably near future where the club can say they don’t need donations or work to be done by volunteers.1 user thanked author for this post.
Just listened to Mr Butler 20 min interview. Could have been done in 7 minutes.
Going to do something like this then make it interesting.
The club and Butler really can’t do right for doing wrong can they ?
Someone saying he doesn’t speak clearly, now you’re saying they’ve dragged his interview out too long.
He’s just answered questions about the signings, Butterfields 3 contract offers, retained list, his hopes for next season. What would be more interesting to include ? There’s only so much he can reveal and clearly he isn’t going to panic sign players on stupid contracts which I think is good.Fear not, Iron414, I’m sure Butler has plenty of good options out there.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple more leave for a higher league. Probably a good thing better than coming back here with another team to haunt us. The reality is that firstly we shouldn’t have been relegated down here and having come down we should have gone back up again. Any of the players on the list we have offered new contracts to can play at least at National League, and Bennett, Carver, Pugh and Wilson released are all capable of that level as well.

Butterfield and Elliott both leaving.

Just read it, thanks Apollo.
Blah, blah blah, I wasn’t convicted of any crime before or after the crime I was convicted and imprisoned for, blah, blah, me, me me. No mention of Club 1899 whatsoever, blah blah blah.I would say so (in my opinion !), one of if not the biggest budget was said by MH and Butler himself said promotion is the intention. They haven’t said x number of years down here whilst money is sorted out or anything else to get in the way.
Having said that I have previously stated I would have supported Dean next season but thought he should go so the same applies if we fail next season and the board decide Butler stays then fair enough.I’m with Rene on this, I’ve got no issues with Muzzy or the job he’s doing, he and Butler have my full support and respect.

It is in the Club Statement thread.
“ In terms of a player retained list it’s not an exact Science but you might be able to work a few out based on the player tweets that the club are reposting and the wording of them (or in the case of those leaving the lack of certain wording in them):
Staying?
Cal Roberts – “we’ll be back stronger and better for sure”
DSF – “Time to recover, regroup and refresh and go again next season”
Whitehall – “All we can do is go again”
Tom Pugh – “We rest up and (go) again next season”Going?
Scales – “Thankyou for all the support this season”
Denton – “Gutted, thank you for your continued support throughout”1 user thanked author for this post.
