Whitehall had a great second half, but Roberts was the turning point and was sublime. I can’t see how MOM could be anyone else to be honest.

Aye, and the same one who spoke of supporter caps, stadium issues, CCJs, Hilton texts, among other things.

There are those who know or suspect where snot gets his info from and much was very right over Hilton.

I have heard stories. Stories which make it no surprise that The Smoking Goat lost out on the gig, no matter how people liked the food.

Aye, got to think of what’s best for the ‘saviour’, not the club, but I was not referring to that, but the talk of fans hounding him out.

You were one of those banging the drum about the saviour being hounded out. If he continued, as you would have supported, it would only have been worse.

Aye, and it would only have nearly cost us the club if we let the ‘saviour’ continue.

Aye, it was only Swann, wasn’t it?

“Trying to be sustainable frightens me more.”

We need a huckster to come in and make unassailable promises and spend loads of money that he doesn’t have, and the club can’t sustain.

The guy above has received homophobic abuse.James Moody should be ashamed

Are we sure James made the post ?

I’ve seen something on social media where he is distancing himself from making the tweet. Maybe hold back on the outrage until it’s confirmed it was him.

The tweet was unprofessional and so is the standard of officiating, there has got to be an open dialogue on how things can improve.

I realise my above post was wrong. I thought you were referring to James Stevens.

Same twitter handle as James above, so not an imposter.

He’d be to blame for that tweet, if it was him, not disagreeing.

I am uneasy about linking Moody to that, given this wasn’t the ref and it seems too many steps removed. However, this tweet did cause hounding of Mr Taylor, so I agree that it was poor from him in contributing to that.

I have seen one of the refs who defended Taylor has said he has received abuse by DM. I think some of the refs have handled disagreement poorly, but that and posting email addresses of Taylor is not on.

I do find it odd that a man who told a judge he couldn’t read a sign due to poor eyesight could see enough to get so angry at this, I smell perjury

A former law student needed to rely on a notice sign to know that photo taking in court is prohibited?

Cycling Mikey is contentious, but I don’t think baseless accusations of snapping kids helps. Why does every disagreement have to be extreme now?

All it does is give ammunition to those who don’t think drivers can do wrong with cyclists. They will then make out any complaining cyclist is like Vine. What does he expect the bus driver to do? Drive slowly behind him and maybe make himself late for the schedule to please him?

I stated my concern about aid a while back. There are a multitude of factors contributing to this, but it can only be described as disastrous and sickening.

Finally a remaster of the ridiculously clipped Iggy mix, but with the bass that the Bowie mix lacks.

I think booing any of our own players is bad and certainly not condoned booing of King Kev.

I disagree with TJO, but don’t see the need to be so personal.

I don’t think I am responsible for others coming on here and being offended by the rubbish I spout. I am not forcing them to read it and it’s not directed at them. I would be if I started saying the same thing to their faces or by messaging them.

Have I Got News For You can be quite scathing about politicians, like Michael Gove for example. Some of it is not positive, but it’s not harassment, since he doesn’t have to watch the show. It would be if Ian Hislop went up to Gove in public and started taking the mick out of him. It gives him no chance to have his own personal freedom. I don’t think it would be Hislop having his cake and eating it if he satirises Gove on HIGNFY, but refrains from directing any of it at him if he spots Gove leaving parliament.

I worry that if jibes are out of bounds, we are liable to losing any kind of critique in a socially acceptable manner, where any control freak can say that criticism in any form is harassing them and we can’t air our minds without being seen as bullies. There does have to be some limits, which is why I don’t think airing abuse to faces, tagging players into critical tweets or mocking comments is great.

Anyway, that’s just my opinion. :-)

If you don’t think that players, managers and club officials don’t look on here and read what is said about them you’re kidding yourself.

They don’t have to read it though. It is possible to ignore. They can’t avoid people yelling at them.

I really don’t think that is correct. If it is then anyone would be allowed to post anything on here or other social media and say the person offended shouldn’t have looked.

Boundaries exist, such as no racism or abuse aimed at family members. I don’t think a Kes clip counts as anything like that. It will be a poorer world if we can’t make light hearted fun because of someone else’s offence, which is ripe for abuse. Every control freak would claim to be offended by anything they don’t like if we’re supposed to take any case of perceived offence as reason for removing posts. There’s a difference between posting such jokes on a message board where they don’t have to look and yelling at people in their faces or directing messages towards them. If these posts on here were being sent in response to the coach or player in question, I think there would be a point. They aren’t though.

Personally, I think jibes about footballers or coaching staff are par the course and perfectly reasonable, so long as they don’t cross a line or tag in the person involved. I don’t think a Kes reference for Jimmy Dean’s coaching ability is too personal for it to cross a line, nor was Jimmy Dean tagged into it, so it’s ok.

People make mockeries of many people for various reasons, including politicians, egotistical celebs and talking heads. I don’t see what’s wrong with that, but making such comments to their face or in an online message is another matter. Such comments on here aren’t intended to be directed straight at the players or coaches, so they aren’t harassment. They would be if Jimmy Dean was being tagged into them all the time.

I think TJO was taking exception to 64 saying ‘mindless moron’ and took your agreement over this specific issue to mean that you stand with that characterisation. Personally, I don’t think the abuse will help anything, and will just demotivate players further, so it’s a fool’s errand. I have had bad days at work and wouldn’t want my bosses and colleagues chanting abuse at me as I leave for home at the end of the day. I know football is a bit different in the nature of support, but some understanding is surely possible.

Though, I think there is a difference between airing an opinion on a football forum and shouting at players. The former can be ignored by the players or coaching staff, the latter is harder to.

Radio silence across social media yesterday, so it may well be that something is happening.
