    Two big games this week.
We’ll be able to prognosticate more accurately at 5pm Saturday.

We need to not lose. A 2-0 win for them would see someone with a superior GD to us for the first time this season.
If they win their game in hand then they and Chester will both be just 2 points behind us.
I’ll be happy with a 1-1… ecstatic with a win.
Beat these tonight and Chester on Saturday and the remainder of the fixtures shouldn’t be too challenging.
Six points from the next two games and we’re definitely champions.

Getting the favourite beat doesn’t upset bookies normally.

    Kiddy 21/20
    Draw 42/20
    Scunny 50/20

Let’s hope we upset the bookies tomorrow evening.

They’ve hit form again after a ‘dodgy’ February.
A 5-0 away win at 13th placed SS yesterday.
Thirteen days previously they recorded a six to nil win away at Farsley.
It’s looking as if it’ll be a tight game.
    I’m going 1-1

    WOW!

    Farsley 40/1
    Draw 7/1
    Scunthorpe 1/9

    £1 on Farsley?

    How very, very sad!
How the hell could that have happened?
Money ain’t everything and will never bring the poor little soul back – but it could help at this devastatingly tragic time… I wonder if there is a just giving / gofundme or similar appeal set up?

At least we have a pitch, as bad as it is, and if there were issues, maybe the Farsley owner could have done some desk studies and research into likely hazards with the site before going for it without much thought? You know, like how any reputable company would when doing something like that? And if he did, he obviously didn’t do that good a job. Also, nowhere did I claim he was fleecing, but it’s easy to make straw men.

Due Diligence – good name for a racehorse.

    Said Aidan O’Brien.
Apparently he had one that raced between 2013 & 2015.

Farsley 0-4 Iron is the minimum.

Farsley 0-8 Iron would inflict their biggest defeat of the season to date.

I’ll settle for the same as last time and go 0-6… featuring a brace for Agadoodoo & Alf Roberts with Boycie & Rowley grabbing one each.

It wasn’t an unbearable match to watch (on TV at least), but both sides seemed determined to make quite hard work of it. United managed to break through the general shit-ceiling a few times… and to be fair to Alfreton they did too. I’m thinking of one moment in particular – how unlucky they were for the ball to smash into the bar then post then crap centre-forward’s head.

Why was Banjo in his own box? (lol)

Which’ll come first, the resurrection of Christ or Banjo’s next goal?

Surely he can’t go another eight games without scoring?

Perfect opportunity on Saturday v Farcely Celtic – shooting practice!

‘Leave it out Renee, don’t pick on the tall fella’

I really hope he bags a hat-trick v Celtic… we’ll need a return from him next season… assuming Whitehall is off at season’s end. Only, it’ll be harder to score a league higher.

Time for Banjo to hit the nitrous button!

Yes I’m sure the players and management have no idea what to do to keep the squad firing on all cylinders for the rest of this busy month, thanks for offering valuable tips on how it’s done Rene.

Happy to help… always (thumbs up icon)

What a great result in what is going to be a huge month for the club, repeat next Tuesday at Kidderminster and the biggest game of the season follows on Saturday 22nd March. Butler must be well chuffed, he’s had a proper mixed season with wrong team shape and tactics, falling out with radio journalists, fans on his back yet he’s turned things around by being prepared to change and he’s changed because he’s a young manager learning his trade. We still aren’t guaranteed anything from this season but what we have is a good young manager in the making, fair play to him.

A ‘keepie’ even if we aren’t promoted!

    Weds 18th Dec, 2024:

    Curzon Ashton 13/5
    Kidderminster 9/2
    Scunthorpe 6/1
    Chorley 14/1
    Kings Lynn 16/1
    Hereford 22/1
    Buxton 22/1

All to play for. The new year and the second half of the season are well worth looking forward to. I think our fortunes are about to change for the better… just a hunch.

    Come on Stan!
Watch out for the road works & diversions; no detours necessary.
    Drive us over the line!

    6/1

We were 6/1 at one point.
    Missed a ‘trick’ there.

Maybe the squad are all on? lol

    Think we’ve nailed it.
We’re winning games even without Whitehall.
Agadoodoo will hopefully bag a few more.
    Champions elect!

    Scunthorpe 13/8

Withdrawals & supplements seem to be the order of the day.
A number of clubs have made the running but then veer wide at the inconsistency turn and drop back.
We will very quickly be entering the final furlong; hopefully we’ve not peaked too early and have the stamina to win this grand national (north).
The old girl is going well under the young trainer Stan Butler.
On The Buses? – Is it too early to book the bus for Stan’s victory tour?

    Scunthorpe 13/8
    Brackley Town 9/4

    Chester 4/1

    Curzon Ashton 10/1
    Kidderminster 12/1

    Chorley 20/1

From the 1st whistle on the floor, neat and sharp passing and the passes in front of the runner.

Down the side and crosses or at pace running in on goal and shots from 20 – 30 yds out with front men waiting for rebounds.
