Should be fully committed with a basic formation of 442.
At the Podcast Forum recently George Aitkenhead said the club had been told the pitch would improve after they had raised issues regarding the surface that the fans had raised concerns over.
Can imagine he will not be impressed and looking for answers !
PHIL A. – Do you mean Chadwick, you mention a Chapman. But is he getting a chance of a run of games ?
TSF should have signed the offer and he would be a league regular. Seemed to led on by a league club and then nothing happened. Hopefully he grabs the opportunity.
Just to update about ‘old boys’ said previously Kai Corbett was playing for Chelmsford City, well they have just signed a certain Mr Lyle Taylor. Was released by Colchester and signed the same week – home debut and scored 3 in a 6 Nil win.
Are the substitutions always necessary ? Do people think it disrupts far too often ? And I note several questioning Carlton and his conversion of opportunities. Why not give Chadwick the opportunity.
Agreed. This season’s microscopic focus on our goalkeepers is misguided but there’s supporters out there still desperate to be proven right about them being the reason we’re not world beaters
I wonder how Fitz is feeling – back in the league, assume well paid but on the bench game after game.
Was only on the touchline managing walkeringham (his village Sunday league team) at the weekend.
Was told he had a lot longer left than sadly he actually did.
You never know. Nice to hear that despite whatever he was still involved with football.
RIPNo targeting, go for the 3 points and keep the pressure on for the full 90.

Good footballer, did the basics well and always gave 100%.
61 is no age. God Bless him, sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.

Really struggling to get my head around the goals being wiped. Surely it sets the precedent that if you’re losing towards the end of a game you just walk off the pitch and refuse to play. You’ll still get zero points but will be as if you never conceded.
Or a final game showdown between two teams vying for promotion/playoff spot/safety…one team needs to beat the other by 2 goals and are 5-0 up…nah just walk off the pitch.
Need to see if further action is taken against Wealdstone. It should be otherwise it will only be a loss of 3pts. For me should have half of points accrued deducted. So as they have 12 then they lose 6 and if later in the season the same 50% deduction stands – now that could be season ending !

Thats life !
Provided good pitches season after season. Did a phenomenal job with what he had.
God Bless Graham – thank you for everything you did. Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

I think the offending team should also get a severe goal deficit. May I suggest – 10 goals, this then could affect end of season positions which could be very damaging. Only 3 pts may not be an issue for them but a MINUS 10 – now that is different.
I had an hours chat with him in the afternoon at the Wortley before his ‘Evening With’ with guest Jimmy Greaves. Should have recorded it, so many great stories he had. 22nd Sept 2000 that was.
Was a good tribute for him and a superb night that was richly deserved. Can remember one match report in the NOWT. The reporter said his team mates wouldn’t pass him the ball so Barrie went back to collect the ball deep in defence and went the full length of the field on his own and scored. The dressing room clique didn’t like him doing well.
Sad news indeed. Saw him play several times – from the half way line his pace was electric, left defenders with ease and a great finisher.
211 goals in 338 games. Scored well for all the clubs he played after leaving Leicester City. Had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to him once at that special evening at the Wortley Hotel. A very soft spoken, humble man, an honour to have shook his hand.
God Bless IRON LEGEND.

Can imagine a team talk focussed on RED cards.
2 fullbacks out for Eastleigh away. But players will step up to cope.
So best to the squad and our travelling fans. When down to 10; I’d go:
In possession 2-4-3
Out possession 4-4-1When going down to 1o just where is Jim Goodwin ?
Best organiser we have had over the years. Need someone to step into that role.

Took a former U16 Scunthorpe United Academy player to set them on their way.
This was not a loan idea. Just that he had scored a good goal the other weekend so thought discussion point.
Re – another mid person, can understand comments. Does sound from the Fans Q&A at the AA we may be able to ask Sunderland if we have an issue.
Chorley doing well. Kings Lynn up there but seemingly a lot of investment so need to be.
Chester certainly had a poor start.
It is a problem for us for many seasons – players not moving into space fast enough.
Perhaps this season we may see its return on a regular basis because we have the players to deal with the crosses into the box.
If Mr Butler is happy with it then it will not change so all you terrace coaches get behind Maison and help him, our fans have always helped when a player needs it.

And we know what usually follows with us if this happens !
Give it to him at Morecambe.

Yeah I thought the forum was a refreshing change from the tripe Swann and Hilton served up in their time with the club, as for Matt and peoples eyes going up into their head when his name was mentioned last night. Well Matt was one of the main people involved in getting the fans fundraiser started when the club didn’t have a pot to piss in and players and staff were going unpaid, just a thought.
The money raised by IRON BRU’s appeal that went worldwide probably saved the club.
Even Michelle has to admit it gave her a breathing space. Staff and players could have walked – they had not been paid and if we had failed to play a fixture then that could have been the end.
And people need to remember that !

Crap! Too late for me.
Really need a heads up on the midweek predictions.
I am retired so I will give a heads up the day before any if that is acceptable.
That would be a great help, thanks. Obviously it’s better and more interesting if we’re all competing instead of not realising.
Not a problem. Yes best if we all fail at the same time !!!
PS: You have missed one for saturday Deeryeme that is the BRAINTREE v YEOVIL game.I do look to see how our thought processes and bravery compare.

Not just the competitive games this season either is it though, he was making these glaring mistakes in almost every game in pre-season too. His distribution is piss poor as well, gifted Sunderland’s first in mid week and a number of dead balls flying straight into touch in both league games so far. How long do we roll out the “he’s young, give the lad a chance” excuse? He’s a professional footballer and that sort of mistake made today is the sort you make as a youth and quickly learn from it. Thankfully we were 3-0 up after a relatively impressive performance, but we won’t be afforded that luxury all season and he’s going to cost us.
In the papers after saturday game it read ” After flapping at corner a calamitous goal was conceded ” – you remember the goal ? Well the keeper they referred to was ALTAY BAYINDIR of Manchester United. He cost them £4.3 million. His Manager Mr Amorim said he was not looking for another keeper.
Just to give a balance.
