Come on people join in and help YOUR forum.

Because you will help, every weekend you can take a few minutes away from shouting at the politicians and display your superior football knowledge to predicting all the correct results and teach us all a thing or two.

It is fun, frustrating at times when in a minute you can go from glory to failure.

If we are releasing Shipstone and Simmonds then Butler has not been fair with them. To hang onto them until a week before the season begins does not give them much time to get another club!! He should have seen enough of them to decide by now. From is being reported on here is correct he is going to bring in a new player next week that he hasn’t seen play yet.

All depends on what is agreed with those players agents. Perhaps they want them in a squad situation and keeping fit – things we never hear about. A lot od people were raving about Chapman, as he gone because Chadwick came in ?

Reserve opinion as I do feel that some are affected by whether the Fan is tolerated or involved.

Just think we have slipped back a bit. But each to own.

Bit harsh. They have a limited budget to work with.

    What would you stock ?

Better to experiment in pre-season than actual season

Provided experiments are all they are !

4 4 2 or 4 3 3 – set our stall out from season start and make others have to deal with us.

Sounds okay, SF, but I suspect it might not be especially cheap.

It has to be a break even scheme unless of course we have someone who will fund it.
    Was just an idea.

Someone mentioned Mr ?????? – he scrapped all levels by text on a saturday morning with no pre warning. Was there ever a plan !

The old timers must have being having kittens when Clemence was thrown in at the deep end? I bet their typewriters were clacking like a Gatling Gun reeling their letters of angst off to the ST.

<em class=”d4pbbc-italic”>Ray Clemence was 17 years old when he made his Football League debut for Scunthorpe United. He signed for the club on his 17th birthday, August 5, 1965, and his debut came in April 1966

I bet Notts County were Sick as a Parrot after having discarded him from their Youths!

Lincoln City gave a trial to an Irish Lad once. Manager didn’t sign him, said to him the defenders in the division would break him in half ! George Best went on to better things.

Or perhaps looking at building a development unit. Sign and then loan out to leagues below us. Thereby creating our own feeder section. Just an idea.

Johnson, Simmonds and Shipstone all got another run last night.

Also added Bayliss who came on for Evans and Matthew’s who came on for Beestin.

    Any ideas who they are?

Okera Simmonds 25 1.87m Centre Forward. Seems on books of Flint Town.

Josh Bayliss 19 1.82 Centre Forward. Released by Gillingham.

Brogan Matthews 18 Def. Midfld. Released by MKDons 30 Jun 2025 – says as acad player he was on £50 / week. Doesn’t
    much does it ?

An experienced player for 3 positions so on paper a shrewd move for the next 6 months.

Perhaps Chapman could be signed and loaned down the pyramid for at least 6 months !
The keeper one is more difficult can’t be too young but perhaps they are also looking for a move up a division but more a challenge to Maison to want the shirt. I know Fitz was experienced and now has The Iron keepers season most clean sheets but if I remember right he also made a few errors that cost goals.

Our supporters don’t need much to resume the Butler flak.

Will be honest not 100% a Butler fan. His stubborn attitude when insisting on his defensive failure nearly cost us promotion – another 2 weeks of it could have sealed the deal. But he changed and I hope stupid formations do not return this season, we got promoted so he has the job.

Has to be given the opportunity and considering the budget I think he has wheeled reasonably well. We know it was reduced wages that Max K left because his offer was less then previous. The club is still in recovery mode with its finances and everyone needs to accept this. Common sense now is the priority.

So got any ideas to increase revenue then send them to the club I am sure they would appreciate.

Best to all for a good season.

Support your manager. If a decision needs to be made I am sure Mr Butler will make it.

This is probably why a no.2 not yet signed. Needs to be a bit above a rookie/untested keeper who can step up if so required.

And now the Forum sponsors a players 1st team kit – Cal Roberts again I think.

So come on join in and enjoy this frustrating fun.

Interesting to hear that Conor Smith came down from Scotland to support the team. Seems his club want a fee for something loan or buy.

Need to get the New Shirts on sale – that will boost reserves.

Harry shipstone is a central midfielder, ex Grimsby
Raj Uppal plays upfront and has been at a lower level “scored a good goal tonight”
Johnathan Gjoshe plays RB and again comes from lower level.
Tyrell Dawes ex Sheff wednesday youngster is a CB.
Munoz I think plays LB, but no idea who he is. That must be the pint sized Llama sitting fella in the Loughton Woods Picture.

No, this isn’t from Football manager, but from Mino Raiola. One of footballs biggest super agents. I was sent over individual dossiers on each player sent to me as PDF files.

Well in AB’s post match with Ollie looking to bring in another keeper, a Mo Fadera type for the left and a RB.

Mr Butler says another keeper is not a no2 – he is there to challenge who has the starting spot.

We have had some in for a look and will be looking at others but there will be another keeper for season start.

Well with Max K now moving on I think we need 4 to 4 more.

A back up Keeper. 1 RB, 1 CB, Left wide player and or another attack mid player.

Lund did like ‘chatting’ with the ref !

And Oliver Rose listed as a Centre Back by Peterborough, so there is your CB and a right back cover.
