People still mention his name at GP.
Would people like to seem here, but why does it not work out for him to be at a higher level – now in NLS with Chelmsford City.
August 27, 2025 at 2:22 pm #310472I wouldn’t object but do we need another winger / WM player?
Most seem to have desired a prickly CM?August 27, 2025 at 2:26 pm #310474Some loan defenders might be needed soon.
August 27, 2025 at 2:38 pm #310475I liked him and hoped we might sign him in the summer. No place for him now though.
August 27, 2025 at 3:58 pm #310476I’d swap him for Eze right now if we could send the lad back to Bolton.
Had a promising 45 minutes against the mighty App-Frod but shown the square root of jack since then. Not seeming to buy into the group work ethic.
On evidence so far I would say the same about Dawson but given his injury history I guess he has a bit longer to show a bit of promise.
We do really need midfield back up. Beestin, Rowley and Ewing with Roberts as a 10 will give any midfield in this league a challenge. Scales is a worthy back up. Not as skillful as the other 4 but makes up for it with energy.
Those 4/5 are not going to play another 50 games without rest, injury or suspension and we could see the difference at Sutton and again Monday once one or more of them are missing. Chadwick has energy but not much skill (as a midfielder) and Brogan has a bit of skill but not the energy. Eze and Dawson up to this point have shown neither energy or skill.
Not being negative here Andy but I am being realistic based on evidence so far.
We look a top 4 side with Roberts, Rowley, Beestin and Ewing.
We look a bit more like bottom 4 with Eze, Brogan, Chadwick and Dawson.

August 27, 2025 at 4:16 pm #310478I like Brogan, don’t think he’s had a fair crack yet and seems to be 5 or 6 on Butler’s CM list. I’d like to see him get a run of games, but not through injury. He offers more of a physical presence than Scales, not seen enough of Chadwick, Eze or Dawson to have an opinion. On the other hand, however long Ewing’s contract is it needs doubling, trebling or even quadrupling asap, the lad is a gem.
August 28, 2025 at 3:20 pm #310539This was not a loan idea. Just that he had scored a good goal the other weekend so thought discussion point.
Re – another mid person, can understand comments. Does sound from the Fans Q&A at the AA we may be able to ask Sunderland if we have an issue.
