Will need the U18s back because they may get 1st team action far quicker than anyone realised as they make 1st team matchday squads up !!

Pugh was a ridiculous decision and the reason farcical – he has been here too long, he needs to find his way !!

Now it appears all 1st targets are not interested and with a budget called ‘challenging’ by Keith Hill would think both NLN and NLS wages could also be a challenge !!

What player have we sold in recent times – last 2 seasons for a DECENT figure !

The master plan was to recruit ‘rough’ diamonds and polish out the flaws – not gone well has it.

If it takes £5k per week to bag Wootton then I fear our team of players on less than £1k pw will struggle to compete.

There are some teams in Grantham Towns league paying £600 per week to their star players !!

    How bad is it ?

Well how many welcomed Andrew Boyce as our 1st signing ? Well he is actually the 2nd, the 1st was a striker who doesn’t particularly strike and that is Mr Nuttall !

    Now get scared.

Don’t know how old the info was, or how accurate, but I read somewhere yesterday that the average player wage in the National is £700 a week. Is that likely to be roughly what our average players are on with maybe a few on £1k?

Some teams in the division that Grantham Town are in are offering £600 !!

Well having heard Matt Deans radio humberside interview with Keith Hill and hearing that pre-season starts on the 23rd is anyone feeling confident as to whose master plan takes priority on recruitment ?

Although ANY signings will be Mr Hill’s choice but whose list are they selected from ? It has a familiar ring to it.

I think the what has mudded the water is when it got a ‘Value to The Community’ tag.

That did’nt go down well and still rankles I understand. And as regards getting the truth Ironintheblood – I am not holding my breath but good luck.

A decent age for a centre back. averaged about 41 games a season for the last 5 seasons.

Not the most stylish but he doesn’t turn his back on a challenge, doesn’t leave it to someone else either. So welcome to him.

He was an excellent centre half. 226 games and 7 goals for us. Was a sad day when he moved on in 1966.

Wore the shirt with pride. RIP ‘Noddy’.

    Worth a punt.

Any statement from the club must be taken with the proverbial ‘pinch of salt’.

Anything official must be from the ‘EGO’ – I don’t trust it !

Mr Turnbull & Mr Wright are in the middle.

Finn is a good lad and I am pleased for him. Would have preferred to read Tom Pugh had been re – signed as our 1st signing and then Finn.

Will must have some talent lined up based on people supporting the request that better season ticket sales will yield better players.

Both started their careers at Scunthorpe? Waterfall played for about 5 different clubs before arriving, but don’t let that get in the way of your narrative.

We had the best centre back pairing in League 2 whilst they were here in Mirfin and Canavan, so it isn’t hard to see why they didn’t get much action.

I said league careers ! I did not say non-league. We could have developed for the future. Players do get injured and look at where we are now as we have systematically got rid of so many.

I actually believe our decline started with getting rid of Andrew Boyce – not the fanciest I will agree but someone who would give blood for the shirt. Remember when both Slocombe & Severn got broken arms ? Who grabbed the shirt because others walked away from the keepers shirt – Mr Boyce.

We have some good talented young players, but they need a manager who actually wants to try to win matches no matter what level you are up against. I do not think the present one is up to it, and confirmed when you find out players were suddenly unavailable yet he failed to say who and why week after week.

If people want to buy the club then do it and quickly otherwise you know what will arrive as signings !

He scored 11 in 66 games for us, IA.
Let us not forget how many of those were in League One AND how many games was he played wide? (An exercise in futility if ever there was one.)

Played as a CF – he would surely have notched better than his 1/6. Maybe up to 1/4 or better.
That would have been quite enough to have kept us up, IMHO – especially in a lower division.

Playing Kyle wide was as stupid as when a previous manager did it with Paddy Madden. The thing with Kyle was his age and we gave all that work away before he started maturing into the role. And since we gave him away with no buy back fee in the deal how many wastes of space have the tried in that role ?

As per they fail to let them mature. Kyle was doing just fine with us scoring some goals and 2/3 years to go as he grew into the No. 9 type role.

Charlie Goode – another cheap give away. Signed him on a 4 year deal and many CB’s start to deliver aged 26+ and we give him away. Northampton then sell him for a 7 figure fee and a promotion to the prem clause to Brentford. They got that as well !

Now we bring through the academy give them a 1 + 1 deal and in all honesty how many will go in our 2yr clearouts ? Squad stability seems unwanted these days and par for the course the replacements will be worse than those released – as proved over the last 3/4 seasons !

I no longer attend games. I stopped getting a season ticket after several decades. And I am not responsible for it !!

The situation is solely the Ego’s responsibility so don’t blame me. He chose the path of decline, he could have changed but he opted to ignore everyone.

The club gets no more of my money because I no longer trust the Ego. And while it remains that way no more money will go to the club.

After Mr Hill arrived I looked at the competitiveness of players when trying to win/ keep or challenge for the ball. How many times did certain players looked unfit ? Neither did it improve.

Watching one of the Bristol goals at the weekend 2 of the loanees failed to challenge for the ball and watching some of the previous goals conceded it was not the 1st time.

So poor professionals got paid for little effort and were allowed to do it ! So 100% clearout for me.

The Manager is 100% responsible for player conduct and behaviour.

If any player breaks the rules on more than 1 occasion they should be immediately suspended and removed from the squad list. Supporters should be aware of why players are no longer available for selection and termination of contract hearings started.

No wonder there was no chance of survival because they were allowed to get away with it. I would rather have seen non league free agents given an opportunity.

Highlights the shocking mismanagement at the club throughout the season.
