We WON’T be in that Mickey Mouse EFL, Papa John’s Trophy.
And that has to be a good thing.
FA Cup (4th qualifying round???) and FA Trophy I think.
And it sounds a bit like “Hillbilly”?
Y’all c’mon down to GeePee, and we’ll have a real hootenanny!

BPG doesn’t know the meaning of the term “Marxist”.
But if it makes him happy then who are we to criticise?
Great night in the flag-bedecked pub tonight even though it was almost an hour after the final whistle.
Fantastic extra time performance by the Lionesses. Still buzzing!

We have a poor record as regards fitness and injuries.
So agree with the above. A decent first XI on paper doesn’t equate to decent performances over the course of a season.

As long as it doesn’t equate to first XI knackered after an hour.
We’ve been down that road before!

The starting XI could only draw with Farsley after an hour before all ten outfield players were subbed.
We still need those forwards!

Here’s a snippet from that Marxist newspaper outlining some of those Brexit benefits.
It’ll all be fine by 2053!

From the Hartlepool Mail….
The deal, which Scunthorpe have disclosed as a free transfer, sees Ogle make the step down to the National League with the Australian himself admitting it was an opportunity he could not turn down.
“I had a good chat with the gaffer and Tony [McMahon] and their pitch to me was that they’re looking to bounce back into the league and are throwing everything at it.
I thought it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”
So there you have it. We’re bouncing back!
Was that you ranting and raving on Northumberland Street in Newcastle yesterday BPG?
I’m expecting the Loan Arranger to ride into town.
Expect a couple of Tontos from Championship/L1 clubs.
To be fair to Gurney, I’ve read his last post several times and can’t find any personal insults or misrepresentations in it.
In fact I’d say it’s a pretty good synopsis on the course of events since a referendum was first mooted.
But I would say that, wouldn’t I?
I think you’re allowed two RBs in your squad!
I’ve had Primal Scream’s Evil Heat album for the best part of twenty years and still listen to it.
There’s some quirky numbers on it none the least “Some Velvet Morning” which has a stylish video featuring Bobby Gillespie and a cameo from Kate Moss (a regular on PS vids).
The other day quite by chance I discovered that the track was in fact a cover of the original, recorded some 35 years earlier by Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra. So I checked it out; and boy! There was some weird shit around in that ’67 Summer of Love!
Never seen two versions/videos of the same number quite so different.

Until we beef up the forward line putting 0 next to Scunthorpe United will remain a safe bet!

You’re damn right”

Anagram of Angel Ogre!
Which one will he prove to be?
Didn’t have you down as a Sunderland fan TW!
Restaurant doing Sunday brunch instead of dinners?

Beth Mead – wow!
One goal, two assists. Remarkable at any level.
Bring on the Germans/French. Nothing to fear now!

The kids got you your predicted 1-0 win Renee.
Did you have a cheeky fiver on it?
Would have delayed the inevitable by another year.
Look where our first opponents of the NL season have been during the past ten years.
So you don’t think a promotion that season would have made things worse?
Did it sound like that?
We lost some major talent that summer in Holmes and Townsend, and failed to attract another full-time in the shape of Ivan Toney.
Could we have gone into a Championship campaign with them still in the building or were they already tempted to move elsewhere?
When we survived the 2009/10 season we also lost talent to bigger clubs. Hooper to Celtic eg. They were replaced with …. Bobby Grant and Chris Dagnall!
To be a success in the Championship you need either Championship players or an exceptional manager or both. We lost both!
Was Alexander good enough to be a Championship manager? Not sure.
Was PS good enough manage the budget of a traditionally L1/2 club to keep them in the second tier? Doubtful.
I mentioned Yeovil because they hit the heights of the Championship just as we were dropping back into L2, but their plummet back down to non-league was just as spectacular (if not more so) as our own.
I think in the present ownership’s boom and bust era we’d have come back down after one season and continued pretty much as we have since!
After Saturday I’m surprised no one has been suggesting he plays up front!
Don’t you think that in a world that is constantly shrinking both politically and economically, and one that shares the same environmental issues. We should be removing barriers, not putting them up?
It is just creating extra work for governments when they should be concentrating on the real problems we face today.

“The fans’ opinion of the owner is…”
LOL 😂
Probably all those bloody foreigners coming over here and taking our jobs!
Well they’ve gone now, and guess what? We haven’t got the staff to do those jobs in hospitality, building and agriculture etc.
So hey, let’s get them back over to work in the bars, restaurants, fruit farms and building sites. Only they won’t, because they’ll need a permit costing from £625 to £1,423. Then pay the healthcare surcharge (usually £624 per year). Then they’ll need to support themselves when they arrive in the UK. So need to have at least £1,270 available before they even start, probably on minimum wage.
Why’s that restaurant only open four days a week? Aren’t strawberries expensive? The builders can’t come round to fix my roof for another ten months!
I know! Let’s blame Covid.

What they seem to forget is that the UK was part of the lawmaking team for most of these “ghastly foreign regulations”.
We left our football on the other side of the Channel and now we’re complaining that the French and German kids are playing with it!
Ashley I hope!
