It’s a fair bet a lot of Iron fans will be spending quite a bit of time on Google tomorrow Mick.
The last 2 from Forest worked out well.
Yates was awesome and there was a young full back who was decent – can’t remember the lads name (Gabriel?)

The bookies have noticed something is stirring though.
Best odds you can get to beat the form team of the league is 2 to 1.
They were offering 7 to 1 against decent sides 3 weeks ago and 5 to 1 against fairly average teams.
So long as the Swann family had no input there might even be some good ones among them.

Find myself agreeing with Bucks and WG on the same day.
Not sure that has happened before.
As Iron fans we have had a tough time of it and some are a little cautious regarding the new owner and the new management team.
Given the last owner and a series of unsuccessful managers this is understandable. However, given the size of the challenge the club faces to either stay in this league or at least return to it very quickly then a break from the moaning and petty bickering would help.
We all want the same thing for the club but we all have different opinions how best to get there.
The opinions that matter most right now belong to Hilton and Dean. Why not support them until such time as they either succeed or prove they are not worthy of that support.

They can call it the Kitchen sponsored by Wren or the Furnace sponsored by British Steel so long as one of them coughs up an commits for a few years.
The Kitchen would be quite Ironic given the issues with catering issues over the last 10 years.
Might be wrong on this but vaguely recall reading somewhere there was an unexpected delay from the supplier of the actual board or screen.
Hence the frame was installed but still awaiting delivery of the bit that fits in the hole.
You don’t follow Elon Musk then.
Have used Twitter for 2 years to keep abreast of the Swann out activity but now looking forward to leaving again.
Particularly now it’s owned by a right wing extremist.
The Iron maybe just a little detour on the way.
Despite his success at Peterborough Sports and the likelihood we will share the same League next season we did pull aalmost 10 times their average home attendance on Saturday.
In those terms we are a bigger club. His old team would probably beat his new team at the moment though.
I was making a general point WG with a hint of sarcasm.
Surprised you read it as a personal attack and feel the need to abuse me.
I will read whatever I like and comment whatever I like thank you. I do try to avoid telling othr people what to do and what to think though.
Didn’t take too long for the usual suspects on here to be telling the new owner how to do his new job.
Mr Hilton does not mess about does he.
A week ago we had never even heard of him or Jimmy Dean.
Makes a change after many years of someone who talked a lot but delivered feck all.

Great that’s sorted. Delighted Nelson is staying and now has a contract.
Now where are these new players?
Can they play up front?
We could here the main stand Cass.
In behalf of all in the west stand I apologise for the noise and rowdyism, it was unacceptable. We need to have a word with one or two.
Needs to be a liberal sprinkling of banning orders handed out. People around me kept getting woken up.
What about Whitehouse on Wednesday and again today by the way. Can we delay the season for a month while the squad have a quick loan at Spennymoor?

That’s just my point Mick – he should have known.
I am with you Cass the guy looked the part but was a donkey. Was delighted whenever he had the ball at the back because he gave it straight back to us virtually every time. Wilson frightened him to death with pace and control until they went to a 3 in the second half.
I agree MM but Nelson shouold have known before Ollie Turner knew.
Humberside were already talking about it before the Nelson interview so Ollie would not be doing his job properly if he had not asked the question.
Nelson handled it with class but I suspect he is rather pissed offs evening and it won’t be with Ollie Turner.
I am sure Hilton did not expect it to be leaked before he had the chance to speak with Nelson and to be fair the leak does appear to have come from the the Peterborough Sports end of things.
Shame to finish such a positive week for the Iron on a sour note.
Welcome and best wishes to Jimmy Dean but also hope things work out really well for Nelson be that with the Iron or elsewhere.

Reporters just doing their jobs properly.
They didn’t offer someone a job without telling the incumbent first.
Happens in football about 90% of the time.
Don’t think Cliff is at Posh anymore – did not he leave with McCann?
Harsh on Nelson who has done a great job with both hands behind his back but Hilton is obviously not here to mess about.
Hope his football judgement is better than that of his predecessor.

Another really good interview on Humberside this time from Nelson.
Hands up I criticised him on here for his interview after the Notts County game for having a go at the players in public. He has proved me wrong because he got a positive reaction from the team and has maintained higher performance levels ever since.
Well done Admiral.

Very encouraging first interview on Humberside with the new owner.
Measured and understandably a bit cautious which is breath of fresh air after the entitled egocentric bulshit of the last 10 years. Genuinely looking forward to attending a match for the first time in about 5 years.

First proper protest and he has gone 10 days later.
Coincidence or more than the ego could cope with?

Be great to see at least some of the 1000 Swann stayaways back on Saturday to welcome the new owner.

That’s dry January out of the window. Too late to get to Halifax now so BT sports and alcohol will have to do.
Out demons out!

Nothing wrong with property developers so long as they are actually good at it.
Might even develop the tin shed a bit if it comes off.
