Meanwhile back to the thread!
What’s happening Peter (the real string puller)?
Ownership?
New Kits?
Club/shirt sponsors?1 user thanked author for this post.
signings
And the tosser who signed them!
Getting all excited about a car registration at GP.
If it was the cod’s the telegraph would have a picture with the owner and an interview with the car number plate.
Another 22 adult, 3 U18 and 4 over 65 season tickets would be sold on the back of the article.

JD sports delivering the new kit for next season it was in the boot. All 75 shirts will be unpacked and on the shop shelves for christmas. Unless pre-ordered and it will be available for bonfire night.

The downside being the Telegraph at the moment.
Nothing on the Iron whatsoever, whilst the same paper gets excited by a new shoelace sponsor or their players turning up to the opening of a bag of chips.
Not bitter about their success at all, just can’t see the carousel of shit we are on at the moment ever stopping.

Well we have signed Boycee, have a Del-boy for chairman, Trigger as manager, Rodders as COO and more than a few plonkers who post on here.
Anyone want to nominate an Uncle Albert or Grandad?
Time to stand up Peter.
The silence is deafening on a sale or no sale of the club.
Season ticket sales at over 1000 which is a third of the gate required for a break even 3000.
A club nearby dropping out the league and getting back at the first time of asking, with a decent manager who you described “as no good for this club”. A club who changed ownership and rode a positive wave whilst galvanising its support and not telling it to stay away due to COVID!
A club chairman that doesn’t make it all about himself and stays in the background whilst the manager manages and tries to play an attacking brand of football.
The formula works Peter it’s not a miracle. So prepare a few words on paper letting the supporters of Scunthorpe United FC know what is happening. Call it a press release, send to the local media outlets and refuse to speak to any media otherwise it will distort the message.
Alternatively write to each and every season ticket holder with an explanation surely their blind loyalty merits an update.

Fixtures are out 23rd June, the season starts as previously stated on August 6th, 2 weeks earlier than last season. The National League is not adjusting fixtures due to the world cup but will decide any fixture changes on a case by case basis.
The EFL is however starting earlier on 30th July with a break for Championship teams from 12th November and will resume on 12th December.
Leagues 1 and 2 will continue with fixtures through November and December as normal.

Well said KB.
We have been watching rubbish at international level since Fabio Capello.
The crap and negative style of play encouraged by the FA now runs through all its teams and is taught to those taking FA coaching badges.
Hence our shit managers of recent years, and why the top teams in the premiership are managed by foreign coaches who have not been coached the FA way and whose teams not only play bloody good football but also win things.
Let’s face it Southgate was both out-thought and out-fought by Mancini, and when we could all see what was happening Southgate proved again to be tactically inept.
But in FA terms he is a safe pair of hands. Sadly he has the best squad of players available for many years and hoodles of talent to choose from.
Qatar will be another flag waving disaster when the football hopes of a nation will again not be enough to win a competition.

Alas, Peter does read social media sites, how else would he know who was criticising him and who to sue (allegedly) or send solicitors letters to at the least (allegedly).
So he may or may not post on here, but he damn well knows what is being said.
If anybody carefully listened to him when he first came to the Iron, he also told us he set up the Gainsborough equivalent of bru and was an administrator not only knowing who posted what but also their real identity!
As a longstanding Iron supporter who cares passionately about the club, I would along with many others, like to know what is happening in the short term, if indeed we have one at all.
Only one man knows this 100%. This is the same man who disappeared at the very end letting someone else take the flak for his failings.
The supporters of Scunthorpe United have been fed in recent years many promises which have proved to be false.
Any decent questions have been ignored or derided. For example when telling supporters about the land deal with Lucient costing £1. He was asked if he had it in writing, he got all flustered and was aggressive saying we supporters didn’t need to know that and we should take his word for it.
Not having that in writing cost £1:5 million in research, development and planning for a ground which never appeared, that cost I believe was charged back to the club.
What I would like from Mr Swann is for him to be absolutely upfront regarding the future and of course honest.

Spot on Cass and Sanfran
It is pleasing that at least two fellow respected Iron fans can both read and understand fellow posters massages without feeling the need to misquote, make up, mislead or down right spoil posts.
Or the other tactic of getting fellow posters arguing with each other whilst pouring fuel on both sides.
Or trying to take a thread in an altogether different direction.
Or creating a post which is unpopular/ controversial or both and then pinning the blame on a.n.other who questions or contributes to the debate.
O we gay aw

I see you think Swanny is is just telling them there are interested parties? That Turnbull character must be a sucker then, and if Neil is having the wool pulled over his head that easily the supporters groups who elected him should really be looking at binning him. What I don’t get is your asking Peter 3 questions but then in the next post you then say we should question any information. Make your mind up!
Let me explain it to you, I asked 3 questions of Peter which is what this thread is about, he has all the answers, nobody else.
My next post was in response to YOU, who suggested I was making out two respected people within Scunthorpe United FC to be liars which was a complete and utter un-truth which I was more than happy to dispel.
You seem to have an agenda all of your own, on this and many other posts where you either misquote or misinterpret other people in order to make a point without actually having the balls to say them yourself.

No manager first!
Well unless you are calling our fan director and Turnbull liars I would imagine the consortiums are (were) real, and Turnbull did say the season ticket money was going into the player budget.
This thread is about asking Peter what is happening presumably the very person supplying Neil Wright and Lee Turnbull with their information.
Therefore given the track record of the obvious one, we should surely question any information?
Got to go driving to Grantham with a box of rotten eggs and a tin of red paint!
2 users thanked author for this post.
So what is happening Peter are you keeping the club or still selling.
What have you done with the season ticket money?
Are the consortiums real or a figment of your imagination?
1 user thanked author for this post.
Any news on finding a buyer Peter or are you waiting for the season ticket cheap deal to end before you announce you are errrrrrrr actually going to stay and like Moses deliver us back to the promised land?
Mike Hunt U18 striker with keadby Town Dribblers scored 8 goals last season in the Crowle and District Wednesday night league including an hatrick v Eastoft United over 50s.
Mike Oxlong 23 attacking midfielder for Barnetby and New Barnetby Railwaymen FC in the Caister Sunday League Premier division scored 4 goals from headed corners after a 10 game spell at centre-half during January and February.
Cam L Toe 22 defender with Burton And Stather Tank Ramp FC in the Normanby Estates Bend it like Reggie Tuesday night 7 a side league, 2 goals a game average, played 1 scored 2.

True to form you are a complete and utter.
Most clubs supporters are galvanised by what their owners do on and off the field, we are unique in we are galvanised by what ours don’t do on and off the pitch.

The silence is deafening! Any new players? any progress? what is the budget for the new season? do you still think Peter is the messiah? Did you find the book of tactics left by Brian Laws in the top left hand drawer of the managers desk?
More worryingly did you read it?
1 user thanked author for this post.
Dont be silly. Owners of Football clubs inflict far greater crimes on their supporters than any individual supporter could ever commit, and seemingly get away with it.
Our so-called stewards inflicted far greater pains on our supporters, hand cuffing and police parva spray so should we be disqualified?
No we should not but one C### should be………………
Some good posts on this thread but there’s always one! Unfortunately on this site its always the same one.
So Peter, another week passes by with no news of any impending takeover or sure sign that you are prepared to invest into the future.
So how does this impasse end, we the supporters are like yourself Peter not parting with any cash or investing in the Iron and certainly in no mood to place our hard earned monies into the most uncertain of futures?.
Meanwhile the club remains in limbo with no clear direction or leadership, and all the best players and their agents cutting deals for the 2022/23 season meaning we will be scraping the bottom of the barrel again from the outside (as in emptied of the dregs and turned upside down).

Seven.
Based on my belief that even with Ernest gone it will only focus attention on other issues ie an extremely poor pool of senior players, supplemented by inexperienced youngsters regardless of future potential or willingness.
A manager who raises questions on his abilities going forward.
Only enough income to survive as a club, being in the National league is a small element of our impending struggles.
The damage done by Ernest to the supporters base on many many different issues is too severe to see them ebb back in their droves even with new owners.

I think they were allowed to demonstrate against the regime and can’t remember their fans being cuffed or parva sprayed.
Oh and the City council owns the freehold on ST James Park.

Hippolyte was always sulking and moody and if told off disappeared.
Perry is a complete and utter arrogant twat liked by no-one.
One player was allegedly sacked and not paid went to tribunal and failed to turn up twice!
Don’t believe the latter as a tribunal could rule in absence.

I would have had more respect for hillock had he named those who disrupted an already crap season and made the fight for survival even harder.
