Covid is Swanns relegation blame card and will be his excuse for sure .
On the kits .. 3 looks very similar to an old shirt i have here .. age has clouded my memory and not sure what year but it was back when Motek were the sponsor.
Choice .. i like 1 and 3 equally.
We felt lucky to get the half mile to the ground without to many injuries, well outnumbered, then again when weren’t we, on arriving outside the I met an old school friend who said will you hold my brother up I think he’s broke his leg, I of course obliged and he went full pelt into the Leicester fans with a scaffold pole retrieved from someone’s garden, nowt like brotherly love. It was bad wasn’t it, but what a day to remember for everyone.
What was the name of your school buddy .. i thought my leg was broke that day and my brother Alan steamed into the em after he dragged me away.
Pub on the corner of a road junction .. it was crazy in the ground aswell
Anyhow remember the battle of Nuneaton, scary happy days.
Yes i was there .. crazy day , i believe they were Coventry fans that turned up for a bit of action.

If you’ve been following the Iron for 60 years and it’s still firm but pliant then that’s something else you’ve been fibbing about!
Colchester and Oldham finishing below us will do for me!
[/quote]
Twood do for me also ..but do you think we are currently better than both of them .. i dont and Oldham have strengthened in the last week or so ..(not sure about Colchester).
Sad to say n i hate being a doom n gloom merchant im more of the thinking Scunny will fall away and finish bottom by a margin …leaving them two to fight over the remaining NL place.

pretty much nailed on that there wont be anymore significant additions to the squad .. by that i mean 3 plus new faces including a decent striker .. also a cert is the fact when we do go down Swann will blame covid and the fans before looking in the mirror at the piss poor way he has raped the club and lied constantly …. even down to the money grab for Loft without a replacement.
Miracles do happen but not with this current bunch .. i feel for Kieth Hill.

great memories ..OMG i was 17 years old.
Question .. that team sounds very familiar to another memory i have … what year did we play Altrincham away in the FA cup and Joe Neenan kneed their guy in the nuts to give them a penalty n a 1-0 win .. i think they went on to draw a big club.
Vince Grimes .. he was bald by the time he was 15 , Rick Green enjoyed a pint and Stevie Cammack , they all put a shift in and had pride wearing the shirt… alas no so nowadays , how the great game has changed.
I read on that Hill has openly stated selling Loft has made us weaker !!.. as much as i was NOT a fan of Loft (ATTITUDE MAINLY) Hill is obviously correct and i agree , Loft so clearly wanted to leave and was just playing to get away.

SWANN alway goes back on what he says he will do ironfromafar. When have you ever known him to tell the truth???????
I need time to think about that … memory may have to go back back in time a long way.

Maybe Swann is skint more skint than it appears ..or not being allowed to blow anymore cash on SUFC by his wife and / or others involved in his business dealings… doubtful more likely hes going back on what he said he would do.

because I cannot see Hill being here still May!!!, I am sorry to say.
yes i must agree with that .. although the NL does have some larger well ran clubs with big budgets and good managers ..( example Challinor at Stockport ) i cant see Hill wanting to carry on working with Swann as its a job where his hands are tied and basically a road to no where so come the end of the season (or even before) i would expect him to walk , SUFC could well find themselves in the NL or lower for decades

agree totally with previous posts .. im more of the mind we could tail off and end up finishing rock bottom by a considerable margin rather than even being close to surviving .. hate these thoughts but just being a realist, i just cant see where a win any win will come from let alone stringing a few wins together to get some confidence and offer a glimmer of hope.
Obviously being in this mess does mean players dont want to come here and loans are not the answer.
Most Scunny fans realize the writing is on the wall and 70 plus years of football league status will be lost come the end of the season.. the NL beckons and will Hill stay when thats happened? then what will the disgrace that is Peter Swann choose to do.7 users thanked author for this post.
With 3 hard fixtures coming up .. (in truth they are all hard)
Newport who are flying
Bristol Rovers ..you just know Loft gonna come back to haunt us (he played in Midfield yesterday for hisnew club if the team shhet n line up was correct.
Port Vale .. again they are playing very well scoring freely and looking good.
DEEP BREATH … SEE WHERE ITS AT AFTER THESE 3
Oh yeah then its Oldham AGAIN
Its becoming pretty obvious how this clusterfook is gonna pan out ..regardless of If Swann pays the loan off (which as a businessman he wont).
Im now more of the thinking Hill will walk any time between Feb to the end of the season.
To not muster a single shot on target in 90 mins is an embarassment and highlights just how poor we have become.
The NL league is looking nailed on and imo it would be a huge surprise (miracle) for us to survive , more so NL life there after will be very tough and SUFC could find themselves there for years and do well not to fall lower ala Kidiminster …worse still and admin and into the history books as another Bury or Macc town.
SAD TIMES INDEED and despite my hopes of survival are dwindling i remain claret n blue all way through.
Well done to the fans that traveled to Exeter ..its a fair old trek if i recall correctly.

well done Ferrite i hope the long trip is both safe and enjoyable.
Praying for a win or a point ..another defeat cement our problems with others around seemingly improving ..ie Carlisle n Stevenage
i missed that ..where has Wilson gone ??
i have this recurring dream of Hill ringing round all his contacts in the game asking .. have you got any players … any …any will do.
YEP .. real possibility more out than in
Cant really blame any player wanting to come to Scunny in their current position and probably aware of just what a wanker Swan is.
Even the players previously affiliated with Hill seem wary jumping aboard a sinking ship that taking in watter weekly and will be sunk well before h the end of the season comes around at this rate.2 users thanked author for this post.
Relegation will be a real shitter …its folding completely and not existing at all that worries me.
Is it me or ?? it comes across as really theres little fight going on from the boardroom to actually stay in the EFL… slightly more on the pitch since Hill arrived but zilch from the owners.
agree with previous post loyal fans have the duty and right to kick off when their club is in a mess and relegation is looming.
selling the club ??? whose gonna buy it and wahts it worth bearing in mind who owns the clubs assets.

January 13, 2022 at 11:39 pm in reply to: SWANNS Last Chance to Save Our Football League Status #221571maybe hes skint …. ready cash wise (not on paper)
sighting covid within the business sector as an excuse he may well be broke or saying hes broke.
this does not in any way defend him from the lies and harm he has brought to out club and the current transfer window inactivity confirms how much he really cares …or rather DOES NOT GIVE A TOSS.

Sorry to hear that Ironfromafar, that’s horrible. We lost one of our regular away day group last year and it was so weird going back to games and seeing the gap where they used to stand.
On Scrimshaw – his finishing looked ok but otherwise I thought he offered virtually nothing – poor control, not much passing, just a lot of running.
Thank you .. a smashing bloke life long fanatical PVFC fan we shall be raising a glass fir him Friday.
Totally agree re Scrimshaw .. the effort was there but lacked in ither departments.

I read he decided to sell up after receiving death threats and a bullet through the post .. a form of fan protesting perhaps ???? Seems to have had the desired effect.
Robins said he called Billson back through lack of game time, and expects a quick turnaround and redirection to another club to gain the experience he needs.
Fair comment as he did come to Scunny for competitive game time experience which he has not had for what ever reasons.
Scrimshaw ?? obviously not rated by Hill so left out …could be the same as above.
Like to Wood gone and a couple more loaned out … alas non of this means Hill will find any half decent replacements , time is running out.
We need a local crazy Scunny FC fan to win the lotto n buy the club….sorry dreaming again !!
As said before L2 NL .. SUFC are my team through thick n thin its the thought of the club being lost into administration that worries me and its a distinct possibility the way things stand.
Sad day here as yesterday my Friday drinking buddy and wing man passed away .. great guy staunch Port Vale FC fan .. great company i will miss him and our daft football banter terribly.
There are more things to consider in life than being relegated.
Watched ironarmy vlog .. massive shout out to the fans that went to Tranmere and sang their hearts out.
Call it my observation or opinion but looking at the overall current state of things below..
A very young un experienced squad that simply isnt good enough.
An un interested self centered chairman who refused to get rid of an obvious useless manager sooner rather than it was too late
Loft leaving was a dead cert …but not having a replacement is unacceptable.
Hill may walk .. he has managed to get a semi shine on this turd but its full gloss polish we need and a miracle, if Swann doesnt assist during the transfer window expect Hill to say im orf.
Projected points tallies being pure speculation and cant see us reaching anywhere near a total to stay up
I can only see this ending badly and lets not fool ourselves life in the NL is tough and not a given we wont drop further (Southend are struggling) … being a loyal fan i will follow Scunny til the day i die regardless what level they play … alas my main worry is going out of business totally ALA Bury etc and the club being lost forever.
HOPE IM WRONG

It wouldn’t suprise me to see Hill walk at the end of Jan.
Exactly what i was thinking .. as pointed out Hills post match interview tack has changed and maybe already got one eye on the door realizing he bit off more than he can chew and working with SWan isnt all its cracked up to be.
NL here we come .. and IMO the very real possibility of administration thus oblivion.SAD TIMES INDEED

very confident for the Tranmere game … sorry to say thats confident in predicting looking at the current form we will get a pasting, interesting to see Sam Burns if included.
Mr Loft seems to be buzzin about his move .. shame wasnt so enthusiastic whilst at Scunny.
This vid popped up on my phone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHK9eyylpcA
Calvin Andrew ..had to google him wished id not bothered.
Not too fussed hes gone ..but .. Could well come back to haunt us very soon.

Massive massive game today a real 6 pointer .. praying for a win.
I take it the fixture is not in doubt re covid ?? or weather ??
UP THE IRON
Loft to Colchester im finding strange .. he (Loft) must really want away if its true as its quite possible we could stay up n they could go down.
Im thinking Loft n Hill havent really got on from the outset and an excellent 45 mins last time out hasnt changed that.
I hope Hill can bring in at least 2 or 3 new faces ..strikers mainly also Hackney n Scrimshaw extend.
More so the 6 pointer against Carlisle goes ahead ..but its looking doubtful.I see both Oldham and Stevenage drew over night.. sadly means we are back in the bottom 2 but not bottom.
im away up the jungle til the 2nd Jan ..wishing all Scunny fans a safe and Happy New Year , lets hope 2022 is a better one both on and off the pitch.
UP THE IRON CLARET n BLUE ALL WAY THROUGH.

Northampton being called off isnt a bad thing as already said can go into the Carlisle game on a high and beat them.
Feeling a lot better after Santa delivered my wish of a win and add to that the codheads going down the NL quicker than Mo Salah or Rahem Sterling in the penalty box.. now what was all that fishy BS earlier in the season of them smashing the NL and coming straight back up ..errr twood appear its all gone pear shaped over on the Cleggy North Sea riviera -
