One worrying aspect is the support for Putin from the far right of conservative political parties, not so much here but certainly in America and other countries. Very similar to their support for Hitler pre war. Of course there was even support for Hitler here pre war.
don’t be ridiculous, do you know how many died in that war,?
It’s fact, I would go as far as to say that members of the royal family admired Hitler in the 30s, also fact.

Tonight is most probably going to be our last supper in the NL.
Lent saw us continue the process of giving up our NL status.
We can empathise with the Passion of the Christ in our love in the plight of our SUFC.
If I had enough Maundy Money (attention Arnault [worlds wealthiest person £211 Billion], Gates, Musk etc) I’d buy the club and put it in a perpetual trust with an allowance of £10M a year to cover costs.
We are the Eucharistical Disciples of SUFC and we will continue our worship and to take the blessed wine & bread at Glanford Park.
Our crucifixion will take place 3,300 miles from Calvary Hill.
We aren’t expecting any earthquakes tomorrow (Dead Sea earthquake during the crucifixion) up at Gateshead.
The Angel of the North will oversee our passing. It’s all the threes again.
3 points for a win.
3 pm kick off
3,300 milesChrist passed away at 3pm on the 3rd of April, AD33
I’m off to get my feet washed and to see if I can pick up a shekel or three.
God bless SUFC!

So who is Judas?Did I imagine it but were the Torquay players out on their heels for the last ten minutes, having put in a real shift? Ours weren’t because we didn’t.

Did you get a rise NI?
I got 1.7%. I’m rich.
According to the BBC app we have Ogle in goal. 😂

It’s the age old problem, the defence has to have confidence in the goalie, the goalie had to have confidence in the defence. It then goes up through the team. If the confidence isn’t there the team sits deeper and deeper.
No mention of Chappers by JD.
It wouldn’t surprise me if my back is anything to go by.
Heath was one of my favourites too, but they have got the right man in the middle!!
I remember his response to going one nil down to Sheffield Wednesday, he rattled their bar with one of his rasping shots.
Watched the first half, boring, Grimsby five across the back, no attempt to compete.
The worldwide migration crisis now is only the tip of the iceberg.
As places throughout the world become impossible to live in, for one reason or another, what choice do they have but to move? The majority towards the north.
We need to get used to it and prepare.A good response to youngsters when they say “What have you done that we can’t do?”
“Watch England win the World Cup, something that you’ll never do 😉”

Getting ready for HS2.
Let’s face it, the current government is so thin skinned that they can’t stand any criticism from anywhere, especially the BBC. So they have been protesting and griping for years.
It’s beginning to show, they’ve appointed leaders sympathetic to themselves.

Ivan Toney was always falling down for us, fooled nobody.
Some homework.

Are there parallels between the current British government’s rhetoric about migrants and Germany’s rhetoric about Jews in the 1930s?
The BBC bosses in tow to a Government and right wing press have started to dig what could be a very deep hole. The likely outcome is that the BBC bosses will have to resign. The quicker the better as they clearly haven’t a clue how to implement their own impartial policy. Why did they need one in the first place?
A long list of BBC presenters who have also expressed critical political views.
I just wonder what would have happened if Lineker tweeted in support of Braverman?
Would he have been reprimanded by the BBC, the Tory press and the government?1 user thanked author for this post.
Indeed Lineker was speaking of a time BEFORE the Holocaust. Lineker is not a stupid person, for an ex footballer he’s quite intelligent. The current government are seeking to confuse the issue. We should all take these events as a warning.
It would not happen in Putin’s Russia.2 users thanked author for this post.
Any truth in the rumour that Burnsey will be presenting MOD?
So the unions demanding inflation level pay rises are living in a fantasy land according to this Government.
But the mobile and internet providers have occupied the fantasy land as they are “contractually” able to increase prices by inflation 10ish% +3-7% based on what’s in the small print on your contract.
All allowed by this Government without any challenge on intervention.
Price rises clearly aren’t the “peoples priority”, a phrase being increasingly used to divert the “people” away from what really matters. It’s all the migrant’s fault.
And they use the now defunct RPI while any increase we might get is calculated using CPI.

Compelling series for those who might not have seen it. Events around the world are worryingly close.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, the former business secretary, told GB News on Thursday the job offer “shows that there was a socialist cabal of Boris-haters who were delighted to remove him”.
I’m assuming those further to the left (in general) are critical of Starmer’s decision? Can they get a new T shirt or poster out of it?
Laughable, what is the ERG if it’s not a cabal.
Sunak should withdraw the whip, after all that’s what Boris did to eliminate opposition.Ian Paisley Junior has already said “it doesn’t cut the mustard”.
I doubt if he has even read it. Some are in it to object to everything as they know they will lose their influence by agreeing. The DUP have no intention of power sharing when Sinn Fein are the major party.
The DUP had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to sign up to the Good Friday agreement, the only major party to oppose it. They then were a majority. Now that they are now a minority they are hanging on to its coattails.
When Bryan Robson was a young apprentice at West Brom his landlady at his digs was under instruction to serve him a bottle of stout ( Mackeson I believe ) every night when she dished up his evening meal and told to stay there till he drunk it. Don’t think Robson liked the taste but he had to drink it and look how he ended up.
He developed quite a taste for alcohol, small beginnings.
As Marie Antoinette would have said, “Let them eat sprouts”!
Environment Sec Therese Coffey suggests people complaining about the tomato shortage should consider eating turnips instead, saying it’s ‘important we cherish the specialisms we have in this country’
Stopped doing twitter. Got fed up wading through rightwing tweets from assholes I don’t follow.
Did you really mean rightwing “tweets”?
I have a better word.😁 -
