Took him about 3 years to take over from Fatty Lawrence as fist choice. That was usually the way with young players at top teams. Was surprised when Iron midfielder Keegan went straight into the Liverpool team as a striker.

Injuries and a great pre season tour of Scandinavia opened the door for Keegan, he grabbed the opportunity with both hands and could not be dropped. I always knew that Clemence would make it, I was surprised at Keegan’s meteoric rise. He worked hard.

Great keeper for us, I remember one striker describing him as uncanny. At that time he had to be.

If I remember correctly, Brian Bedford was the only first teamer in that day.
Ray Clemence was not yet first choice.

Entirely predictable, I really cannot see this season being completed, for more than one reason.

Came out at two in the morning to deliver my first born at the maternity home, that’s dedication.
    A great and humble man.

Season ticket holders should receive their access code for the first league match today, could go on for most of the season, if not all.

You don’t need a promotional code, i didn’t have one and was wondering, so i just filled it in without one and it worked fine , got confirmation straight away,,,

As I understand it the promotional code is for free live streaming for season ticket holders until matches can be attended. They will send the code by email before the match. (when I say “will” maybe I mean “should”).

it’s dragging a little too long for my liking

Sadly the rules of virology aren’t the same as those of the EFL!

Just to clarify, is it the “Rules of the Virus”? Or should it be the “Laws of the Virus”?

2 year deal from Leicester, scored against us for Carlisle last season and is 6’4”.

6’4″, could call him “Lofty” then.

Safety should be the first port of call. Only FFP2 AND FFP3 MASKS WILL HELP AGAINST COVID. IF THESE MASKS ARE OF THIS TYPE THEN I AM IN FAVOUR OF ANY CLUB SELLING THEM WITH THERE LOGO ON.IF
NOT THEN THEY ARE NOT SAFE. THE DROPLETS OF THIS VIRUS ARE SO SMALL THAT IF YOU PUT 50 SIDE BY SIDE THEY EQUAL THE WIDTH OF A SINGLE HAIR. A MASK MUST HAVE SEVERAL LYRES OF PROTECTION.

Completely missing the point of why we’re being encouraged to wear masks. The reason is not to protect the wearer from infection (inhalation) but to protect everyone from infection from the wearer (exhalation). An ffp3 mask has an exhalation valve so is completely useless in this situation. Think why a surgeon wears a mask, not to protect him or herself from infection from the patient, but to protect the patient from possible infection from the surgeon.
    Here endeth the lesson.

Face masks now available to collect from SUFC shop, no delivery charge so £6 total cost. Pretty good value if we ever get to wear them at a match.

Why did we need two GK coaches, the other players didn’t have one to one coaching!

Might be a good idea though.

I don’t think we can compare the coming season with last season (or three quarter season), a lot of teams have had to offload their more experienced and therefore most costly players.
We just don’t know yet how the season will pan out, do we have the advantage of having run an U23 team last year? Most clubs didn’t.
I too have concerns about leadership on the pitch (and off it) but it may turn out to be a very strange season, I’m expecting the quality of the league to drop significantly, but I live in hope.
What the club needs is positivity, on the pitch and off it, including the crowd, including me.

I’m beginning to sound like middle management.

    What do I know?

Renewed my season ticket, online, on 9th July, no problems.
You have to sign into your account, possibly more than once, select your seat (if you’re seated), it should appear available for you.
The site defaults to sending your ticket, for an extra cost, or you can opt to pick up from the office. I don’t know why you can’t use your old card.
