Coutts bank, second line, Crown Dependencies.
Just about says everything about the bank and the people that use it.
Has in the past been fined for money laundering.

    Is it peer reviewed?
If not it’s just a matter of opinion.

Remember the historical “Hulk” prison ships?

The thing is that this is only the tip of the iceberg as parts of the world become uninhabitable for one reason or another, it all becomes futile.

Tests on new virus vaccines can take a minimum of 10 years or even longer to be allowed and deemed safe. This was not the case with the Covid vaccines, they were an emergency vaccine, with not the same level of scrutiny . Even now the large adverse reactions to this emergency drug are not being investigated, the evidence is out there ,but the media remain silent.

Not really correct, the only reason for the often misquoted 10 years is that the tests are peer reviewed, there is no time limit to peer reviewing it’s just trying to get the reviewers to pull their collective fingers out, a slow process usually, documents left on desks for ages.
As with COVID, backsides were kicked, result, speed.

    Humour me.

Can someone tell me what tests were NOT done on the COVID vaccine.
And it’s no use saying that the evidence is out there.

It seems to me that some of the most vociferous opponents to vaccination are fundementalist of one creed or the other.

The next election will be fought on a similar theme to the Brexit campaign, immigration, boat people. Not this government’s achievements (understandable, there aren’t any). It’s already started with the forthcoming byelections’.

Outside influences have a lot to answer for including Iran etc. Also American right wing Christian fundamentalists whose aim is to facilitate the second coming. (Ah, what would God do without Americans).

Yes, that’s what I said. Well done. *eye roll*

    All?
Including the Palestinians who are Christians?
Israel now has a minister who has a picture of Baruch Goldstein on his wall, but nobody can say anything for fear of being labelled as anti-Semitic because of IHRA.
That same member of the government also supports groups that want to “incinerate all Christian churches” in the Holy Land and drive Christians, as well as Muslims, out of the country, not to mention atheists.
That would put it in line with Saudi Arabia with intolerance to other faiths and creeds, and none.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/oct/05/ken-loach-i-give-no-legitimacy-to-holocaust-denial

As a person that has always rooted for the underdog I find the accusations against certain people very uncomfortable, especially when they eminate from the Tories, that great institute for protecting minorities.
It’s of no great surprise that survivors of the Holocaust polarised to Labour knowing the history of the Conservative party.
Have they been let down, possibly, but when I hear the puritanical attacks by Tories on discrimination it’s very hard to swallow.
The whole question has been used to gain political advantage, it leaves a bad taste, I can’t believe any of them.

Just to put things into perspective, does sympathy for the plight of Palestinians automatically make one an anti semite?

Seems to me that no one is standing up for them.

    Delete thread?

    Why?
Regardless of when the bankruptcy took place.
It’s concerning that our owner is a bankrupt, it would be interesting to know how many people suffered financially as a result of his past financial affairs.

Why is it concerning? Some of the most successful business people in the world have gone bankrupt before they made a success of things.

Indeed, and we don’t have to start thinking about the founder of the Virgin empire.

All very good points put forward, it’s just an observation, it didn’t use to happen, not only in England but in Scotland too, in fact the Scottish cup final some time ago was the first time I noticed this phenomenon.
After a final the losing finalist used to do a lap of honour for their followers thanking them for their support.
When I’ve left early it’s been because of my disgust at my team’s performance. Manchester United should have been proud of their teams efforts, as with Inter, they didn’t just roll over.
My point is that it just doesn’t look good when half the stadium is empty during the presentations at a national event.

Well, here’s a thing, if we’re not playing at Glanford Park, why is the pitch looking so good in the new signings photos?
    Unless it’s greenscreened.

Great book that highlights the interference of big business and American right wing libertarian think tanks and their colleagues in Tufton Street, Westminster.

What was the number one issue the public wanted sorting?
Have the government implemented this wish?
Have the public been let down by an incompetent government?

Quite simple really, they were lied to, promoters of the leave campaign appealed to the voters baser instincts.
One bit of nonsense was the control of an unelected body, the European Commission, on our lives. We have a ready replacement, it’s called Whitehall, also an unelected body.
Even the most strident brexiteer did not consider leaving the Single Market, that would be catastrophic they said, yet that’s what happened, promoted by a small cabal.
    It’s a mess, it’ll take 50 years to recover.
    Thanks a lot.

Siderite- “The BBC is mostly liberal, rather than left.”
The BBC is a left liberal organisation,Neo- Marxist to the extreme, believing in a woke, critical theory,anti- Christian “worldview”.

An honest question, explain the word “Woke”. To me it’s the direct opposite to “Slept”.
Last night I slept, this morning I woke.
Any other definition is straight out of 1984 “newspeak” where definitions are turned on their heads.
    Stay awake. (Present tense).

As a previous Pink Floyd fan I’m no apologist for the wandering mind of Roger Waters.
However, is any government, on this mortal coil, completely above criticism? I think not.

No-one has said otherwise here. His fever pitch nonsense plays into anti-Semitic canards about Jews controlling the world. All too often some say such is just legitimate criticism of Israel.

There is nothing wrong with criticising Israeli government decisions, but the global Israeli conspiracies, desperate comparisons of Israeli actions to the Holocaust etc are not reasoned criticism and come from a hatred of Jews.

They say similar things about Catholics, indeed to prevent them being dominant in GB we have the act of settlement, and guess what? It’s still in place.
I object to discrimination and prejudice against any group of people whether Jew, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, Palestinian or Israeli. Unfortunately to say so you enter into no go areas.

I will tell what I hear JI, a lot and I mean a lot of young people when asked say leaving the EU was something they didn’t vote for and could not see any sensible reason why we would leave our major trading partner group which, despite the money it cost the country each year to remain a part of it, still the benefits outweighed the negatives. Now I know an awful lot of older people who voted to leave who remain tight lipped and not very forthcoming about what they believe now. I believe that is down to the fact that they are older, some rather set in their ways, don’t like saying the are or were wrong very often but they will soon be gone whereas the younger generation are the ones who will be left with consequences of leaving the EU. Sure life will go on but at what cost to standards of living and more financial hardship, whilst bringing up a young family, then before. Just an opinion but I am sorry we left the EU, not for me because I’m doing ok thanks compared to some but then I retired five years ago and my path had been prepared for that over the previous fifty years of a working life, most of it in the EU, don’t think the younger ones will get that same equal opportunity IMO because we have left

The question will be in the future “What were you thinking?”
