Sorry but not seeing this great Hippo performance – 2nd half he improved and did well first half he couldn’t make a decent pass and he was in some good positions. Once he took the ball in 20 yards of space made no attempt to turn and go forward just passed it back to Taft. Agree his best game but not outstanding. Leave that to Pugh tackling/break up play was superb and Onariase for daring to drive forward – looked like an overlapping centre half. Now they have the win repeat it at a poor Colchester.
Cox still a liability.3 users thanked author for this post.
just get him back its are only hope

BBC report “Barrow were far better in the second half but only sparked into life in the final 20 minutes.”
Sparked into life by our own idiot in charge dropping the team back and 5 mins after Scrimshaw goes off. Rather than the chairman meeting fans perhaps Cox should and answer these points1 user thanked author for this post.
Sadly the ref took away the possibilities of a point or 3. They didn’t appear to offer a threat upto that point. The pen clearly wasn’t one, the reaction of their players gives it away. They were annoyed he’d missed not appealing for a pen. Back to the conf for the ref.
We need 6 points from the next 2 games. Even Swan cant let Cox survive anything less.6 users thanked author for this post.
not as funny as Joe. Though the little ref on Saturday did his best to make us laugh!!
the acceptance of crap comes from the top in any organisation. You set your standard on everything you cant pick and choose when to have high standards. As you approach the ground you see the state of the flags etc you think no one here cares why should i. Staff, players, supporters will think it. And away teams will pick it up too. We have the look and feel of a team on the drift downwards.
Stopping petty crime is the start of prevent more serious crime. Having a high standards throughout the club will set the tone for management and players. Do wonder how Swan does succeed1 user thanked author for this post.
the fact he couldn’t attract any other club but a non league one tells you his level. And if he is relying on someone else to motivate him to play then i would question his motivation too.
We should be asking the govt to look at this deal.
Swann talks a lot but doesn’t say anything. Key question how much was the ground valued at? while he keeps saying it’s a good deal as we were paying interest its not if the ground is valued at say £25m, then its a good deal for Coolsilk. He says the club will pay rent when it can afford it. Who decides when than it is. What will the market rent be surely he has a figure in mind if you writing of £11m.Not sure saying trust me works when he hasn’t delivered on any promises. i cant recall him saying relegation and the dullest football ever and my son and i will play footy manager to almost take us out the league.
Swann needs to start with an apology and then let those who know how to find, sign and manage players do so. Just like he does with his horses or does he tell jockeys how to ride too!?7 users thanked author for this post.
i took the word of Swan to be true when he said for £11m debt write off he had secured the ground and the surrounds for his other company. Are you saying he wasn’t stating a fact!?

if the football authorities and/or Govt are keen to see the greed looked at within football perhaps we should petition the FL to investigate the takeover by the club by another company. If nothing else they could look at whether the land at £11m under valued?
Vague statements by Swan that at some point in the future the club may have to pay some unspecified rent don’t prevent me thinking Bury mk2!!2 users thanked author for this post.
how lucky can we get – Cods throw it away
any left who thinks we wont go down. Cods 6 shots on target so far, heady stuff
spoke to soon – at this rate goal diff will be gone by the end of the night

lets hope we can keep it to 2. Cods can play for a win knowing a draw is a good result
goal difference advantage disappearing by the minute – nothing negative just realism.
Forest Green no win in 9, they beat us. Walsall no away win in 9 they beat us. Mansfield no home win in 5 they beat us. Hours and hours without a shot on target. See no reason for us to get another point this season.
Summed up by Spencer’s interview on website “. . . we need to give Newport nothing on Tuesday and hope to try to get a goal.” That’s our new found tactic hope
We finish with 47
Southend are doomed
Cods sadly i see them getting 3 wins or even 7 points and catch us on goal diff
Barrow will get the 1 point to overtake us tonight.
Swann sells the club for pennies as its national league puts the rent up on the ground and makes a killing on the land1 user thanked author for this post.
Still in shock. Al was my friend for 45 years. He was a great friend, father, husband, brother and has followed the Iron home and away for decades. Will be missed by many.
hope he doesn’t claim they were tired – Vale played Saturday too!!
cant help himself thinks 5-4-1 is the way. Loft who looks decent with a partner now left alone to struggle with his injury, and the ball keeps coming back. Cox didn’t think attacking is the better way to defend
we were rubbish in the 70’s but we didnt sit back and not try to win. We had shots
January 16, 2021 at 6:21 pm in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #201055“You said “I like good active attacking football” well up to now I have seen this not seen this! so please stop worrying about the other side and talking them up and just concentrate on your own side.”
Spot on – i doubt any of our opponents give a thought to how we play. All they have to say is dont worry about us we wont cross the half way line
unless their is a ‘new’ striker this week then next game Cox will sadly revert back to Loft. And will bemused why doing the same thing each week gets the same results. Football is so simple decent keeper and then 3 pairs down the middle and yet its beyond Cox
i wonder which coaching course Cox went on when the idea was suggested when you go a goal down you take your striker off? Perhaps he left the room when they said replace the one isolated striker with 2 strikers
fail to see where another point will cone from. Did Cox actually believe his own rhetoric when he said we would attack!!?
we can cut and paste our comments from Tue – set up not to win only two possible outcomes.
we forget we are playing an excellent side and need to adjust to nullify them. Cox will so pleased not to concede to a side below us
As Newey said we showed no interest in winning that game. Cox talked himself into thinking we were playing decent team which clearly we weren’t. Play for a draw you get nothing. Howard at fault but Cox set them up not to win
not a happy bunch at becoming our B team
Like many others – team proved me wrong. Perhaps having Clark alongside the kids at C/half makes the difference. O’Malley is too good to be worried about who’s along side him.
with both centre halfs now missing 10/1 Walsall to score 4+ goals looks easy money
