Interesting to see how they deal with Roberts in the form he’s currently showing, reckon they might get a player sent off on Saturday, he’ll be too good for them. Difficult predicting scores in these games so I’ll sit on the fence score wise and just say a comfortable home win.

Now a fully fit Cal is showing us what he is capable of in this division, the Rushall goal was technically the best, all about quick feet and quick thinking, should be playing in a much higher standard.

Probably played his last game for St mirren, let’s bring him home. (If he’s not jailed obviously)

Rose tinted specs again Awaywego?, we already have one contrary t**t up front who can’t be ars**d half the time, why bring back an older version of the same thing.

Ps, how nice was it to come up with a shite goalie for once.

First time I’ve seen a goalkeeper dressed as a Carnation, his keeping ability and fashion sense were both questionable.

“Might well keep a few people quite tonight” what’s all that childish bollocks, most people have given honest opinion on the football of late and most are going to celebrate the win tonight, without being an happy clapper.

Seeing as your the expert on ” childish bollocks ” surely you should be more appreciative of such posts?

C’mon, who put the effin wheels back on??!!

Think I saw Nicholson tightening his nuts after his long throw worked again, it went better tonight with alloys on.

Top performance tonight, everyone put a shift in and despite a couple of early errors that came to nothing the Iron were a class ahead of Farsley. Roberts and Clunan the standouts for me but nobody had a poor game and it was very entertaining, well played guys UTI.

Only Awaywego could turn a silk purse into a sows ear, we all know his game it’s the same bull poop he’s served up since signing up to this forum. Peoples fan?, p**s off, more like the opposite for the sake of it. I believe he thinks he’s being funny.

Last home game was a much improved second half and a decent 3-0 win as a result of that, Farsley could bring a few more than the 9 from Rushall, think we’ll be above 3000 plus kids are back from half term holidays and will be back at school.

Now where have I heard that before?

Aye we’ve been saying that since Dickie Rooks back in the seventies.

    You missed JD ?

I’m guessing not every individual in the category classes as a manager by some.

So three individual out of character mistakes cost us yesterday’s game, must be Butler’s fault then

Anyone expecting a gung ho approach after Tuesday nights deserved home win is going to be disappointed, most managers treat every game differently and Butler will be weighing up all his options for us to win but to be defensively tight aswell. One defeat in the league so far this season is testament to his measured way of thinking game to game,he’s more considered in the way he views matches then scatter brained JD IMO.

A post on X yesterday below:

‘Surely any manager worth their salt has their own ideas and playing model? The simplistic approach of just copying the last team to win the league says it all. He doesn’t sound that bright in interviews either. We’ve got a simpleton in charge, should have stuck with Dean.’

Total unnecessary disrespect. And rubbish – Like Dean was some super intelligent guy?!
Just get over it with some grace and dignity.

Jimmy wasn’t that intelligent either, anyone remember his rock & hard ‘stone’ reference? That made me chuckle but he did have us playing better football, whilst returning the same points as Butler.

Think you will find Jimmy didn’t return any points from trips to Brackley, Curzon, South Shields and Chester last season, just saying

Rushall were very leggy last twenty minutes the spaces we were finding in different areas of the pitch were very noticeable late on, those Laughton woods runs certainly payed off last night.

It’s a good job Butler has the Bru tactical tag team to realise the error of his ways

Aye when we are poor it’s Butler’s fault, when we are good it’s down to us lot of course, nowt to do with the players either way lol.

The second half showed the system works when the ball is moved quickly with accurate passing and the wing backs bombing on, it was a more entertaining game as a result and we scored two excellent second half goals. Fishburn deserves a run of games after that performance, chuffed for the young man he worked really hard and got more involved with the play second half, I thought it was more than half decent tonight and pleased Carlton got a run out near the end, it was very positive stuff overall.

I think if you set up to get a point away at Chester and succeed you must set up up on the front foot in the next home game against lesser opposition, indeed every home game should be set up to win in this division IMO.

AB bigging up Carlton even though he’s not fit, reckon if our current forwards keep misfiring he’ll still wait for Carlton to play before he moves for another striker.

It’s looking more and more that way.
    Same old, same old.

Except under Dean last season we acquired nil points from trips to Chester, Curzon and Brackley whereas, as was pointed out in yesterday’s post match interview, under AB we have acquired 7 points from the same group of fixtures this season.

If AB set the team up for a draw then it’s been a very successful day against the current home form team. Put it this way, AB will be the happier of the two managers tonight, a very good away point which keeps us, Mr P Anders, at the top of the table. Now it’s vital we follow up on Tuesday night with a home win, that will make today all the sweeter.

Without a change in the system or personne, Chester will prove to strong for us on Saturday.2 or 3-0. We will not be top of the table at 5pm!

I’m guessing you won’t be giving up the day job to take up football punditry professionally?
