I see we are off the top of the table already ! Carson 1-0 Hereford!
Bloody Carson should stick to butlering at Downton.
I thought Gallimore might have a chance of making it with us but wasn’t he and a few more decent youngsters victims of the Swann money saving scheme. Or put another way, ” I’ve overspent I’m in the shite you lot are going”?

If you did not read the story mick it will not involove the game this Tuesday night, just glad that stretch of road is finally being repaired it gets volume on it in a day time not just on matchday.
Brownsword Way has wanted squaring up for awhile now, some right shock absorber breakers on that stretch, long overdue and most welcome.
Love a drop of 10 year old Taylors Tawny port, preferably with stilton and crackers.
Yep under Swann we changed from a club spotting talent, bringing it in then selling it on for profit when they had improved enough to be wanted by bigger clubs with bigger budgets. This basically kept us turning over reasonably successfully and for awhile we climbed the league structure to our highest point since the early sixties. Mr Swann bought a lot of decent players in who were over our budget and we got one promotion from league two and a couple of playoff flirtations but in the end had to sell our better players to pay off some of a huge debt we should never have been lumbered with. As many have said before, one man’s vanity almost cost us our club, that’s why we should be patient and tolerant with our current management structure, without them we would have been toast

Aye the owners are bound to have a word with AB about his tactics after reading bru,I mean it’s what all club owners should do right? lol.

Paraded on the pitch and then criticising them days after with regards to the new lad being let go/leaving
Not the best look but each to their own I guess.
If your referring to something said on social media cliff then I wouldn’t know, I’m not on it although I understand a lot on here seem to pursue what is said on social media quite fastidiously, you have the advantage over me there.
Maybe our players just need a Pep talk pre match and that will fix it.
Ground tours a tenner a pop per adult, fiver for anyone under 18, get them cash registers ringing.
The goat guy got paraded onto the pitch last home game and praised for his efforts publicly by the club, whatever others may say he appears to be held in high esteem by the clubs new ownership.
Well it proves Russ can get teams playing good attacking football under his management, genuinely chuffed for him, Scunny legend IMO.

Is the Pep way stale? Lots of goals, some of the best players in world football playing for City, ah yes they don’t wear a red kit kit and talk in a silly Scouse accent, just remembered in time.
Yep not watch England for a while neither as its boring watch. Similar to Scunny ATM
I wish Scunny were similar to England at the moment, good luck Mr Tuchel you’ll need it with our fickle fanbase.
Guiseley win 1-0 at Kiddy. Kiddy fans are not happy and are calling for tango man’s head on twitter.
A few cranky heads there aswell then, who would have thunk it.
U taking the piss IFA?
Been quite a few on here saying the need for another striker, if you were witness to the glaring misses against Oxford City then maybe they have a point, hopefully Butler will be pressing for another option up front now after last Saturday’s dross in front of goal.

Ah.’If we win home games.’
Yes. There’s the rub.Well yes it is which was my point about players missing nailed on chances they should bury with their eyes shut, not Butlers fault whatever the brand of football produced on the day.
If we win home games fans will turn up IMO the unattractive football will be forgotten by the majority, it’s all about winning to most of them.

Alright Nellie calm down lol.

Could footy fans get away with throwing said Izal bog rolls today.
According to the web they haven’t been produced since 2010, wonder what took them so long to realise lol.

Worth noting despite the final scoreline on Saturday we had numerous chances to win whereas Oxford City didn’t. Say what you like about Butlers style of management but when your best striker misses two golden opportunities to head the team in front I can’t see how Butler can be held responsible for that. It was overall a disappointing display but we should have won if all the players had turned up and done what they are best at and what they get paid for.

… is, imho, a more than reasonable starting point for your world view.
I heard Nic Dakin on the radio this morning claiming that the latest steelworks story is rubbish (follow the link here) and that the government is working “very hard, day and night” to save Scunthorpe.
Who believes him, and who doesn’t?
Who knows what to believe anymore, the last government weren’t bending over backwards to save it either. You either invest in blast furnace steel or you don’t, I wasn’t aware until recently that EAF produced steel was as flexible as it was, it won’t cover all needs but it’s suitable for rail production and I do know that Scunthorpe has had a lot of overseas contracts for rail line in recent years. Some other European countries are investing in BF produced steel but most of the raw materials to produce steel has been imported into our and other countries in the EU for many years. What is the long term strategic answer? pass I really don’t know but I don’t want our local steel industry to die completely, it’s too important to the town as a major employer in lots of different firms locally involved in steel production.
so it appears you’re just having a dig at the Board for the sake of it.
Almost like he’s just a tedious wind-up merchant.
Fine line between total numpty and wind-up merchant, always felt Awaywego has a foot in either camp.
Unfortunately it’s the old social media thing again isn’t it and it’s not just moaning football fans, some idiots like Farage even used it recklessly after those little girls were murdered in Southport, using lies and falsehoods which brought rioting morons onto the streets intent on arson and murder.
Not sure what the answer is, free speech is important and some will justify saying anything whilst hiding behind it, as far as our fans go then most are sensible and patient, not everything said on a football forum or Facebook group will IMO reflect the majority opinion anyway. Most fans still prefer chatting amongst themselves on match day and quite a lot go to football to watch a game and except it for what it is. I support the club and the current board, without them we wouldn’t have a club now.3 users thanked author for this post.
Farage is ultimately a poor man’s Donald Trump, talks a good game but his objective is self interest nothing more. A very poor example of what an MP should be about, sadly he’s not alone either.
Madness, madness, I call it madness.
Maybe we should issue the fanbase with Pork Pie hats?

Your narrow minded agenda is pretty clear on this forum 414, we’ll leave it at that I reckon.
I am making a general comment about the majority of managers, I dispute your point about hearing hundreds of managers hold their hands up, a few maybe and maybe those with plenty of fiscal clout to change things if necessary. If you heard all his interview yesterday he did admit they could and should have done things better but if your waiting for him to say he’s got things completely wrong after where the team is after ten games then I think you have a vivid imagination at best.
