Got to admire Awaywego’s tenacity but he won’t have a clue what the club will be making till the balance sheets are published, until then as usual it’s pure speculation.

Well we shouldn’t be paying a transfer fee for a player unless we can afford it under the financial restructure that’s taken place over the last 12 months, any idiot should know that.

There is only so much that can be said about a game afterwards and most clubs have over 50 games a season with managers or assistants making after match comments on them all. One thing for sure is I haven’t heard many after match comments from managers or staff etc where they publicly shoot themselves or the club in the foot just because a few opinions on a local club forum demand change. It’s not how the real world works and change, if needed, will come eventually anyway.

The whole point about having a united squad all pulling in the same direction is the most important thing for any club wanting success, Butler isn’t going to come out publicly and criticise his tactics or the teams overall performance this season so far just to satisfy a few who don’t understand how the ethos of a team and a football club works and anyhow being top helps him with his PR at the moment, why say anything different, it would be football political suicide.

Don’t see much division on here I-A.
‘Contract extension badly timed/too soon’ and ‘Butlers tactics are questionable’ seem to be pretty standard opinions.

Our friend 414 reckons the fanbase is divided over the issue and I was just redressing the balance with my post about yesterday’s home crowd in the main stand

I noticed that we have a sponsor for “added time”.

Fat lot of good that did us yesterday!

Brought us extra money in I guess.

    Did he have onions

As someone famously said in the Monty Python sketch about being offered a Gannet Ripple in the cinema kiosk, ” do you get wafers with it “?

The contract extension was barely mentioned in the main stand area where I was sat yesterday and as for the fanbase being divided, well maybe the ones on here and some on social media, big deal.

Just because he’s not saying any change publicly ( who likes admitting their wrong particularly football managers) doesn’t mean the management team aren’t looking very thoroughly at what can be done to improve form.

Nobody outside of the club hierarchy will know what cash we have or have not to spend on new or loan players, you can speculate all you like Awaywego but it does not mean you are correct and anyway you dont run the club they do.

Think some people have already substituted their brain with a ” splash the cash we don’t have ” attitude. It’ll be fine who needs a well run club anyway? Oh wait…. what almost happened a year ago!!!

Yep I thought Clunan and Roberts were the best of an average bunch at best yesterday, still had enough chances to win but our strikers were really poor. Whitehall did a lot of work and put a lot of running in but his two headed misses were absolutely appalling, truly amateurish and please Whitehall stop throwing yourself on the floor looking for non existent free kicks, makes you look such a pillock.

It was a poor game between two poor teams today but although we are in poor form ATM there is still no excuse for your top striker to miss two free headers from 6 yards out. Not blaming Whitehall totally because he reflected the team as a whole today ( Roberts two bits of brilliance withstanding) but your star striker is someone you turn too to provide the difference in games like these and he couldn’t deliver. Hope Alfie recovers quickly because we need all options fit ASAP.

A year ago our club was almost dead thanks to Swan and Hilton, these new board members rescued our club from the brink and gave us hope for the future. The business model they have introduced since must be working or we would have gone bang by now so despite eveybody being perfectley entitled to their opinion, I think giving the new board time to complete the restructure and attempting to push us toward prolonged sustainability should be our greatest priority. They have appointed and since extended the contract of a fairly inexperienced young manager who has done very well so far but alongside him they have appointed and since extended the contract of a very experienced and well respected coach. This seems sensible and fair and must fall in line with the boards sustainability model or else why would they have done it?. Things always seem easily apparent when not closely involved with the fine details of running a football club and it’s survival, just keep backing them because if not we risk the fantastic unity created between club and supporters which is our biggest asset in our current situation. We all want success and nobody is disputing that but give them time and space to help make it all work, remember it’s having a club to support or being in a similar situation a year ago if they get things wrong by not being prudent.

Wonder how Stu can afford all them meals at the restaurant.

Perhaps he’s not a t*** with his money like some others are, anyway it’s his business where he eats and his business if he wants to report his findings on social media. TBH it’s not a big deal to most people.

Strange timing for a contract extension

Statement from Michelle to follow should explain, one year in charge, showing fans the way forward under the new board and how things are going to run?. Despite all our opinions on here the board have to run things how they see fit and in a way they consider is the best business model for the clubs survival going forward, as usual wait and see.

Bookies see it as a home banker:

    Iron 1/3
    Draw 18/5
    Hoops 13/2

That’s because bookies don’t read fans clubs forums then make their odds, that’s why there aren’t many poor bookies, it’s not rocket science, we are top they are second bottom 14 points behind.

I’m on Holiday, shame would have gone to that.
Watching any of Hilton’s Heroes in action would be fun.

Won’t be a Hilton hero in sight mate, isn’t his main fan still in jail?

The more publicity about the current state of the beck the better, in the last five years it’s been allowed to deteriorate to the point where some areas of the bank are approaching collapse and trees on the sides are already falling into the water. It’s a real shame such a beautiful area which many enjoy is being allowed to fall into ruin.

Id have him back tomorrow, the grounds sorted for him, club debt free.
Doubt we would have seen the inaction we have over the last 3/4 weeks needing the squad strengthening. Better to try and fail than not to try at all.

You’re fishing, I’m sure. Not even an idiot would actually make a post like this and mean it.

He has previous and I don’t mean fishing either.

It’s only 2 Oct but you’ve won the prize for most idiotic post of the year, hands down. Collect your trophy from Mr A Nally at ITFC. Or the MTFC boardroom… possibly.

TBF to Awaywego he is very good at being an idiot, seems almost like a natural gift he has.
