He would have kept a clean sheet today but for a suicidal back pass that was out of his control, I think for a young keeper he has done ok so far.

Beestin and Sellars- Fleming were out on their feet and Roberts had got elbowed in the head earlier in the game. Let’s be right if we don’t get the result we want Butler will always be get it in the neck over substitutions but in truth we haven’t played well for weeks and several key players in defence, midfield and up top are missing and it shows.

They were easy worth a point if not more but our missed chances and reluctance to shoot in good positions proved very costly, not good enough basically we seem short on confidence.

Well England have only themselves to blame with another poor batting show, Aussies bowling second innings wasn’t that great we just threw a lot of our wickets away with poor technique brought on by indiscipline. Hope this isn’t a blueprint for the series because with our bowling attack I reckon we have more than half a chance to do well over there but our batters have to start backing up our excellent bowlers.

The way we have been playing lately it’s hard to predict and the uncertainty over injuries pre match doesn’t help. I will go 2-0 home win and keep my fingers crossed, it’s too bloody cold to sit through a 0-0 bore fest we need some action to keep us warm today.

Will the “Ransom Strip” be a problem or has it disappeared?

That was just DH getting confused, he actually meant his wife’s landing strip, something about a close shave but nothing to do with the ground.

Well I guess it won’t go five days lol, hugely entertaining first day with the game anybody’s, interesting fact Joe Root has never scored a century in a test in Australia, good time to start in the second innings.

The BBC were clearly in the wrong but I can’t see Trump getting a penny out of them in return, clearly a distraction tactic as you say DM, the US is heading down the toilet.

Surprised to find out he’s at Sports. What are they paying him? Surely not there for the glamour.

Maybe they can offer him discounted sun bed sessions?

Should be entertaining watching Brown act the a**e on the touch line, mind you he is very good at it, better than his managerial skills.

TBF Gurny Adam Hills has presented several rugby league shows on tv and is the current president of the rugby league after being voted in this July replacing Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

Yeah for a team most predicted to finish mid table we shouldn’t get too down with sixth place and only two defeats in mid November.

Looks like a mega bollocking from AB after this one, 2-0 down to ten men then 3-0 down, still we were due a defeat it’s just the manner of this one thats annoying.

The old game of two halves, easily the best team first half and one nil should have been at least three nil by halftime. They were better second half and it was more a case of grinding the win out, outstanding games by both Rowley and Horton, a wins a win without our best team on show, I’ll take it.

I’m old enough to remember the flawless Gary Sprake!

Famously chucked it into his own net away at Liverpool. At halftime they played Careless Hands by Des O Connor over the PA, famous scouse humour surfacing yet again.

I believe in most fans eyes the goal keeping cover we have employed so far this season has helped us to second place in the league, way above expectations pre season according to most bookies and football opinion in general.

We all know what can happen when you exceed your budget on a regular basis, let’s not go down that road again, if York want their player back that’s fine, I’m happy with the Leeds replacement.
