We can’t get 1800 in the ground on match day now and that’s with the pay on the day fans plus last minute additions, he’s deluded, living in a different universe to the normal fan.

    Chocolate, I love Chocolate.

Homer Simpson once visited the Land Of Chocolate but unfortunately, rather like yesterday’s chairman podcast, the content was just a daydream.

My grandson and his other grandad. Their making a weekend of it on the train going to Cadburys world on the Sunday now that bit is tempting.

Cadbury World is deffo worth a visit, quite ironically four of us visited the place on the Sunday after we had won promotion the previous day at Shrewsbury back in 2005. How times change eh but at least your grandson will enjoy his time at Bournville.

As for the podcast – if that were all about us just having heard him speak for the very first time – we could all feel uplifted.

Yep, he gets more like a recycling centre every time he makes a statement or appears on the podcast.

As long as there’s plenty contributing – say a mere 10% of the fan base at a tenner a head- that should raise at least £90 quid.
Okay – just a bottle, then.

You started off like certain chairman at a certain football club with your ” case of malt ” ambitions (re Championship ambitions ) then suddenly you became more realistic and settled for a bottle. Took you just over a day to see sense, pity it took the chairman four seasons.

That 76/77 Workington side were abysmal. Think even we beat them 3-1 ay the OSG if memory serves?

Also if memory serves our former full back Chris Kisby was playing for Workington in that game too.

There not far off on what they’ve done Ferrite you can buy by direct debit with no interest payable, just a £25 arrangement fee. (Sure that will not be good enough it never is)

You have got one already I take it?

Don’t go dressed as a monkey, things could get tricky! ➰🙊

I knew a Darlo fan back in the days of Feethams and when the derby with Hartlepool came to town they would hang toy monkeys on elastic from parts of the old home end roof to wind up the Hartlepool fans. Don’t know how they got them up there, must have employed monkeys to do it.

Thought Grant had signed on a permanent when he arrived but it did not state how long the deal was. Delaney is the loanee and agree with you les I would like both to stay and as the saying goes ” build a team around them “, cant see Rory staying, he will be offered bigger money by a league club and quite right too.

Stop comparing us to Southend, every club is different, you don’t know the ins and outs at Southend but we have more actual facts based on our last four seasons, shrinking budgets and lack of interest by our owners to make a better assessment. Did the Southend owner stop turning up to games last season?, did he put his son in charge of recruitment, please tell us all the ins and outs that have gone on at Southend in the last four seasons that gives you certain knowledge we will mirror them next season, truth is you cant. I gave a reason for my crowd average prediction for next season based on the last few seasons here, not Southend. Budget cuts and poor recruitment have led me to my crowd average prediction based on our club not some other club. As for talking bollocks, sentimental or otherwise, once again you claim first prize.

1500 average Ironawe what are you basing that on? Grimsby’s and Southend’s average have increased and Southend had a dreadful start, you seem to be coming round to my opinion that scunny have the worse fans.

I was basing it on us being bottom of the National League next season, do you think we will be top seven or something similar? Have you not noticed how Swann has run the club the last four seasons or are you totally blinkered on this matter? Perhaps you think going to games next season, lobbing the odd flare onto the pitch and picking occasional fights with stewards or opposition fans by our young Iron crew will see us top four or something? Wise up, the budget will be shit the squad as a result will be shit and Iron fans in larger numbers will say ” up yours chairman “. That isn’t fans being worse it’s fans being not prepared to put up with the current chairman in charge, if Swann sells up and goes the fans will return, not before. This is my opinion. ( Little disclaimer in there, we know how sensitive certain people can get )

Don’t we get a failure bonus for getting relegated?

Yep, bonus is only 1500 average home attendance next season. More room to stretch your legs out across three seats.
