Brilliant post Gurny, considered, well thought out and on the money. Wait for the tripe, unconsidered and totally inappropriate response from the usual suspect.

The more that is revealed the sadder it becomes, good job we have SST attempting to keep us in the loop as best he can with the little snippets he picks up here and there. As he says it’s a disgrace the club and authorities aren’t keeping the fans more informed, yes certain things will have to remain confidential but the way it’s sounding and looking there is going to be a giant bomb dropped very soon and it ain’t going to be pretty. Surely a quick sale is the only hope now before liquidation arrives.
Know it I certainly do JI, our daughter lives in Rodley and when we stay over we stroll the canal section quite a bit. Small world isn’t it, we often have a few beers at the Rodley Barge, sitting outside by the canal watching the swans and boats go by, a lovely place. Enjoy your fishing and I can recommend the beer in the pub.

Which section of the Leeds- Liverpool canal do you fish JI 🤔
Yep no more long term commitment from me till we get some new owners in, sick of being lied to ad nauseum and being asked to cough up.

Would probably got it if the original post had made sense!
Makes perfect sense if you like a laugh, only those with a sense of humour failure wouldn’t get it. Anyway back to more serious s***e I guess.
Back again with more rubbish Buck’s, what a pointless thread from you, deserves pointless responses, which thankfully quite a few have been
He remotely has no ***king idea full stop.
As soon as the Swann waddled in the door and started flapping his wings we were doomed.
Best place for him, playing for a better team in a better league will help develop him even further. I will follow his career with interest, he has been a very good player for us and he certainly enhanced our team whilst he was here.

We could do with the title of this thread coming in on a freebie, that would help.
Thinking of hiring a hitman Ironawe? I’ll chip in.
Not at all, I was just wondering if the next person who took charge would bring a more considered approach to negotiating a deal more in line with the long term interests of the club. Probably clutching at straws but I wonder how things would pan out in such a scenario?
Isn’t Robbie Savage involved with them in some way?, youth team or kids football scheme on the ground, something like that anyway.
I’m sure Trump is Buck’s role model.
You must like the version of “Hallo In There” live from West 54th fans?, that’s worth putting up on here if you fancy it.
If the owner suddenly say, died in his sleep or got run over and killed, would his wife assume control of the sale?
Ha ha, had a couple late last night with a mutual friend. Very nice it was too.
Sounds more like a foursome then a couple of slugs of Aerstone DM.
December 27, 2022 at 2:16 pm in reply to: The tories energy crisis caused by corrupt and bad planning? #251229That’s true. When the government withdrew support back in the 80s there was little notice and no exit plan. It was like the withdrawal from Iraq, and the result was similar. Descent into disorder, in-fighting a breakdown of community, and ultimately a decimated, depressed area with no real future. Hopelessness and misery sit side by side, and local folk are easy prey for demagogues; in the case of South Yorks., ones like Farage.
Rather like when ” we ” left India, no proper exit strategy there and look at the resulting death toll, mind you it was also down to that good old mainstay of our world, religion but our government of the day knew what would happen and didn’t give a toss. Mountbatten took all the plaudits for basically being an utter a***hole, another disgraceful episode in our glorious colonial past.
Even by Buck’s poor standards, that has to be close too the biggest piece of crap he has ever written on this board. Here’s my view, clear off Buck’s and take your pious, condescending rubbish with you.

West Cumberland Farmers Ltd?
There’s just been one of their tankers in our village delivering heating oil!
Brampton is still a bit quaint compared to Doha!
Lot of places in the sticks still requiring heating oil NI, knew a lot of the WCF guys when I drove oil tankers, think they are part of Watson’s now.
I refer my comment on tripe to the last response from Buck’s, he must be an abattoir owners dream.
That’s it bill has gone, too many home truths even for him to try and squirm round.
Well despite the result I thought today’s game was reasonably entertaining and the guys gave it a real go second half particularly when young Wilson came on and lit things up. Dreadful giving away of the ball for their second and I reckon Foster would have kept their first out but how many times does the dire Dewhurst get beaten from range, very poor IMO. Shame for Apter going off injured in his possible last game for us but I’ve enjoyed watching him play in an Iron shirt. What with administration probably just around the corner, the sale deal possibly stalling and our relegation looking more likely by the game, I enjoyed the game today and some of the footy from the Iron was good, hard luck guys keep plugging away.

Yep give me Sir Geoff and a six goal feast won in extra time anyday compared to the dreadful penalty bore fest surrounding today’s finals. ” They think it’s all over, it is now, he just scored the winning pissing penalty “. Unbelievable Jeff.

Ron Jeremy once fell asleep in the corner of my son’s bar!
When he was awake, Jeremy always came across as a very cocky individual.

Another great Iron servant, I know we tend to look at the past with a bit of ” rose tinted specs ” involved but I honestly believe Don was a really good player for us and it’s a very sad day indeed. RIP Don and thank you.

Sympathies DM, I had a couple of glasses of the Sea Cask last night but I assure you it’s my own bottle. If it’s any consolation it is as ever very good indeed. If I knew how to post pics on here I would at least share the almost empty bottle with you on Xmas Day. 🥃👍 PS, I had started the bottle well before Xmas Eve, my measures aren’t that big for two glasses 😂

Nice deflection, your previous point, which you nicely skipped with your last response, is pure conjecture and without value. What we see now of the position of our club is it being owned by a badly performing businessman who is in debt up to his neck in his personal life and has driven our club to what could turn out to be extinction in its current form. Steve Wharton took us nowhere near were we currently are with our football club yet you continue being a Swann apologist with your meaningless drivel about him. Merry Christmas.
