Mull of Kintyre still the biggest non charity or tribute single, sold in the UK. Band Aid, obviously and Candle in the Wind 1997 version released after Diana’s death sold more. White Christmas has sold 50 million singles worldwide but just over a million in the UK since charts began. Right that enough Statto stuff from me.

Apparently if you play the Stairway lick in a music shop whilst trying out guitars you get told to stop or leave. Really is that popular 😂

East Stand, nobody stormed a wall to get on the pitch from there, were you in the DRE on Saturday and witnessed it then, I’m guessing you were?

To get back to Jeff and Eric, Clapton deffo the more successful commercially due to his song writing and singing, Jeff more lost in his instrument then Eric, not a criticism just an observation, he made sounds Eric could not get near but then again Eric probably wasn’t trying that hard. Both unbelievable players, you know some of the greatest players are the session musicians we very rarely hear about but who are on dozens and dozens of some of the best hits ever. The Wrecking Crew are one of the most talked about group of musicians ever in popular music, different instruments but a stack of them were guitar players. Well worth checking out how many songs they played on, mainly 60’s and 70’s but very good. Steely Dan were well served by session musicians who toured with them aswell, golden era.

Writing in anger invariably comes back to bite you, I angrily responded to III on the Humberside Police thread and I see both offending words from his post and mine have been removed which is completely correct but in the case of LT I fear he may have burned his bridges with a lot of supporters and it’s just another reflection on how the SUFC saga appears to be turning into total unretrievable crap. It’s all very sad and has been so unnecessary if the club had been in proper capable hands in the first place. This current guy in charge has never been capable IMO and we are seeing the reasons why.

Yes and apparently I’m a prat for pointing this out on the other side, although the word prat and my equally childish response have both been correctly removed ( must control my temper more when typing ). I guess posting my remarks on the Humberside Police thread was wrong but I don’t apologise for pointing out what an absolute shower the Met has become and for a long long time too. It’s just appalling a police force can act in these ways and expect even a modicum of respect from the British public.

Under the circumstances mick I think most on here will recognise the difficulties you face with regards your relationship with LT but you will also realise the strength of feeling against him now from a lot of supporters after that statement. Whether it’s in his job description or not he can’t have it both ways when it comes to SUFC, the fans are sick to death of the owner and how he has run this club down and run roughshod over it’s fanbase and lack of information is just about the final straw for a lot of people. If this club goes to the wall then people will say it was the owners intention all along once he got the club and himself into financial difficulty through sheer stupidity and if the club goes down then LT will go down with it after recent events.

Probably the wrong forum but the Met recruitment procedure is terribly flawed, even their own boss says so and has stated he could sack plenty of his current staff if a proper probe was launched. Let’s not forget the poor girl arrested under COVID laws on the streets of London not long ago, driven to a wood, raped, murdered and buried in the wood by a serving Met officer. Now this low life surfaces and warnings were ignored five times in his employment regarding abuse of women. No not every officer is a rapist and I apologise if that was my inference but the crap culture of abuse and racism running through its ranks means the police have been losing respect for years and with good reason. They say themselves they are badly in need of reform so pull your head out of the sand III and I won’t take lectures from you, a Swann apologist.

Yep this government loves going after the little people but when the little people’s houses get burgled or their cars stolen, they couldn’t give a toss. Mind you seems the police are into rape big time after today’s latest disgusting revelations, absolutely tragic the way this country is going.

What will they do anyway, issue banning orders for fans gathering in the centre circle for about 8 minutes protesting about their club going down the pan, then quietly leaving to allow the match to resume to its conclusion? Bit different to the Oldham situation then and what happens if 500 fans do it the same next home game, ban them? Fine, so last game of the season there will be 1200 fans attending, brilliant, well thought out Turnbull, fill your f**** ng boots. Idiot.

Evidence?, what happened to Oldham last season after their protest, look it up and report back how many points they got docked. A fine won’t be anything like £190,000 dodged tax payment and after all the crap we have had to put up with from ” you know who ” what is another financial extra for the liquidators to add to the charge sheet. Anyhow points mean nowt to most fans, just get rid of this leech masquerading as an owner and the vast majority will breath a heavy sigh of relief.

Wow, real mixed bag of techniques from Jeff there, string bending, trilling, tremelo, partial muting with a quick forearm/wrist jab and a few harmonics thrown in for good measure. Complete master of his craft, good post Gurny.

Wonder if Nelson got a bollocking after saying on radio after yesterday’s game that ” the fans have been here longer then me, they are entitled to protest how they want”, in response to being asked about his views on the pitch invasion. Doesn’t marry up with Turnbull’s jaundiced view on Nelson and the players being thoroughly disappointed with what happened. More like thoroughly disappointed in the reasons that have led to the disruption. In a small way Nelson sort of let his feelings be known about affairs at the club being not right by his few words on the interview.

Well Oldham weren’t deducted points were they for last season’s crowd stoppage and I believe they were on the pitch a lot longer and the game was finished behind closed doors. Any points deduction would be hypocritical if such was the case here. There will be plenty of time for points deductions if or when we enter administration, I genuinely believe most fans don’t give a flying f*** about points deductions, they just want a change of ownership, more information released by the club and a fresh start.

He should seriously consider his position at SUFC after this statement, completely out of touch with how a lot of fans feel. Desperate times all round.

Do I believe he wants to sell? We may get a better idea if the dickpicker’s consortium make an offer and it’s turned down aswell?

” dickpicker’s consortium ” sounds like a naked session band from Nashville. 😂
