He should have received several yellow cards IMO and if he had then maybe the league table would look a lot different. It’s probably not healthy to keep going on about Mullin and Wrexham but when fans see obvious injustice taking place as regards a certain club and a certain player then they are bound to feel outrage. Fans appreciate hard graft, endeavour and honesty on a football field, they won’t put up with constant cheating and referees turning a blind eye.

Strange game, first half too deep, nowhere near enough to the opposition as a result therefore no pressure on the opponent who ran the game comfortably without being too dangerous. Altrincham after their battering on Saturday would have probably settled for an away point and maybe even grab a cheeky winner. However second half, play further up the park, therefore nearer the opponent, therefore put them under pressure with better pressing, they don’t like it, they can’t handle it and it’s a comfortable win for the Iron. Still not too sure about how Jimmy wants the team set up but I think he will continue to chop and change whatever we think and I expect more mixed results until we are finally relegated in ten games time. Ah well, Up The Iron.

Our seaweed chomping chums are certainly loving the Irons current sad situation on the fish meal forum with the Scunny thread proving very busy and Messers Hilton and Dean featuring prominently..let them have their fun

Was it ever thus from our fishy friends, those webbed feet and fingers aren’t there by accident you know, although some mutant hereditary gene has often been put forward by some scientists as the cause.

I reckon Hilton should sack Dean and appoint WonderGoals as manager.

Good call, all those years on X-Box have turned him into the razor sharp tactical football genius who wows us all daily on this forum with his knowledge.😜

Anyone else having same issue with redirecting to bitslot

Happened a couple of months back but my cheap Amazon tablet blocked it although it did slow down the pages on bru loading, actually it’s back now but I’m just ignoring it till it goes away again. These things are annoying but unless SST can come up with some ” super bug zapper ” fix, we will just have to go with it.

Anybody remember the tv series Marcus Welby MD from the sixties and seventies? Bloody awful American drivel.

Not interested in tweets or facebook postings and all that crap, just know that six games is no time at all to be passing judgement but it’s just my opinion.

Where are the goals going to come from?

Did you see Bennett play on Saturday? Just imagine him and Elliott getting decent service from a couple of wingers, which we have in the squad, that’s where the goals will come from and i’m sure it would work at this level.

Aye, a touch of realism all round is what’s required here but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

If we start with wingers and Bennett plus Elliott up top we will win.

Good points SJ, think a few haven’t fully accepted we are down yet and while it remains a faint possibility we could survive the chance is beyond slim. I agree that Jimmy hasn’t nailed it tactically or selection wise yet but to think he could transform everything inside 16 games was expecting a bit much IMO. If the new players that have come in were under Nelson, he too would struggle to make it gel and work, we are where we are because of the last four years, new players and 16 games left when it changed for us all as a football club won’t change that fact.

We deffo need to start with some width on Tuesday night, very impressed with Bennett not only big and strong but good on the ball and wins headers. Once him and Elliot get it sussed they could be very good together but as I said we need a winger or wingers to make it work.

Cost us two points through yesterday with his handball.

Yep he did but I think we can all agree that he was a victim of the new handball rules which the majority of fans I speak too say are pants, however, rules are rules whether we like them or not. In defence of some of the refs decisions yesterday that left a lot feeling disgruntled, on watching the highlights the only one I think he got wrong was the push on Pugh in the area which looked nailed on to me. The handball hit Bennett’s hand and his arm wasn’t tight to his body ( I know why would it be ) but under the new law interpretation the ref was just sticking to what the rule says now, yes it’s bollocks but it’s the law . Looking back on all the other talking points about how the ref handled things, I thought he was right IMO.

Just listened to him on Humberside and sounds so unprofessional, players surely won’t be motivated by that!… (mate)

Doesn’t sound any worse then Barry Fry or even Harry Redknapp IMO and they both did ok in management. Look the guy is still finding his feet and isn’t always making the right call on team shape and correct selections but give him a bloody chance. As for how he speaks to players, it’s football FFS not a posh girls finishing school, get a grip.

We have been down this ” it were like taking bread to the top of the world ” vibe a few times now, always worth a chuckle. I always remember when we ran out of coal for the fire, Dad would suck a peppermint and we would hold out our hands in turn while he breathed on em to keep em warm. Central heating!!!! Pah, bunch of wimps these days.

Let’s be honest, the right wing and ERG in particular have been struggling for some time now, they are rapidly becoming a laughing stock and losing whatever credibility, if any, the ever had. Hard to believe they were taken seriously enough by a lot of people to believe their leave campaign crap and now more crap like this, beyond belief but they keep coming out with this stuff

I would love Bennett to be the new Torpey ( but I guess these days without the elbows ) and the reason some of our fans slated Torps, well it’s all about opinions as usual but in mine, they just didn’t get it. Watch the game for 90 minutes and see what some players actually do, Brian Laws best comment IMO when asked about Torpeys contribution in one particular game after he’d been receiving stick was ” ask their centre half”, followed by ” he won every header he went up for ( 12 I believe ) and won every one”. Lots of people didn’t get Torps, lot of people don’t watch football properly, again IMO.

Shame they did not get either of the Manchester teams away, a bigger gate and a better atmosphere. Good season for our fishy friends, little chance of relegation, quarter finals of the cup and plenty of extra dosh pouring into their coffers, plus the extra publicity nationwide and of course that stupid plastic fish. Think Brighton might be a game too far for them but they have had a great run. As we continue to decline they are back on the up, the wonderful world of football and how fortunes can change.

Then stop gobbling ground bait and concentrate on facts, if or when they arrive. Speculation can be a very destructive thing that erodes some fans confidence when its all really completely unjustified bull poop at this stage.

Sounds about the right result tonight with neither side tearing up any trees, still it’s an away point and as usual it will depend on the home form to give us any chance whatsoever of staying up.

If it ends up with shares unsold, perhaps the energy companies will buy some on our behalf, given how much they’re fleecing us!

If a power company bought all of it land and all, they would knock down GP and build a bloody great solar park on it. Bills would still be high though.

Is it still everyone’s opinion then that Swanny (coolsilk) still intends to sell the ground and land for development specially now he got some mug to buy the football club off him without a ground, what an astute business man he is.

I doubt that’s ñot many’s opinion, and particularly not ‘everyone’s’. It’s one thing some supporters having legitimate caution due potential risks while Coolsilk still own it, quite another speculating that Swànn is intending to sell the land for development, even more so at this stage of proceedings. You’re putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

Well that figures, I hear Awaywego got a D minus at school in maths.
