The BBC seems neutral enough to me and the government of the day certainly gets plenty of air and screen time to put its points across. Of course they should be challenged in interviews on details of their policies, that’s how democracy works and we have plenty of examples around the world of countries who don’t allow their views to be challenged. Trade unions and people disagreeing with the government should also be allowed their point of view on air but what we don’t want is the BBC turning into a version of GB News or Talk Radio just because the government don’t like being asked searching questions or held to account.

I’m sure the public can handle the truth, the government probably can’t handle what would happen at the ballot box as a result, which is unfortunate for them because it’s coming anyway.

A runcible spoon is actually a fork.

If the 💩 is lumpy and firm a fork would work, I’m sure if the kiosks were empty NI the boardroom would still be stuffed to the gunnels.

You forgot to mention the runcible spoon, was the owner feeding shit off it to the prospective new owners yesterday 🤔

I hear he’s taking down the big portrait of Steve Wharton from his office wall as it’s not included in the sale.

Almost a 100 years since we had one, think it’s a thing of the past TBH and I’m not sure people would want to go down such a route but there should be enough nous around the country to see what a cluster f*** it is right now. An early election could well come if Sunak continues to piss around and achieve very little and his party may want rid of him if these current disputes in health and the railways are not resolved soon. People appear generally to still back the actions of the workers , can’t hear much support around for the government’s intransigence on these matters. Fingers 🤞

Your right it is getting very tedious but is that exactly what they want? As the moral compass of politicians has fallen further into the cesspit over recent years, particularly since the Johnson influence took over the Tories, do they want this kind of thing to be more acceptable to the public? I think a lot of this is to do with the last twenty odd years, with people looking to become MP’s but viewing it as a career progression rather then a vocation. The majority of people years ago saw being an MP as trying to make a difference to the lives of ordinary citizens, I don’t believe this is the main motivation anymore although not all politicians. What was always demanded was that all politicians at the top of government were seen to act in a fit and proper manner, how times change. Maybe they reflect the mood and mindset of modern day Britain?, very sad if they do.

I guess Lavery will be offered minimum 18 month contract on better money, it’s a no brainer, we could be out of business by next month, good luck to the lad.

Thought we were operating under an embargo?

    When’s the tax deadline anyone?

Isn’t that for additions to the squad, I believe it we move players on or they leave we can replace with loans, I think but SST might confirm or correct.

The thing about Trump is he lied virtually everyday of his time in office, stuff he came out with has been fact checked ad nauseum and backs the lies up but where do you start about it all. He’s continued to lie after he lost the election, this includes him saying the election was stolen which has never been backed up in a courtroom because no serious evidence has been provided ( over 60 claims kicked out of court through no evidence) then there is the January 6th riot where he continues to say people who attacked the Capitol are innocent of anything, the guy is a complete fruit cake yet lying became the norm and is acceptable to a lot of his fanbase. It’s serious shit this because it appears to be justifiably ok to lie and be dishonest when you are a rich powerful figure with ambition to run a country, in this case a very powerful country. We know certain areas of politics are open to corruption but to see it blatantly flaunted in public and deemed ok by a lot of people just saddens me about standards, honesty, integrity and all the things we were told as kids had to be upheld to prevent anarchy and discord. I believe America could be on its way down the shit pan because massive civil unrest and violence is usually the next step when countries start losing their moral compass. The fact we have had five PM’s in seven years, all of the same political party is very worrying to me, even the current one is not proving universally popular. This country is really struggling and there is massive unrest, things could turn nasty here if we aren’t very careful.

Not been to Barton since the mid 80s. I remember a couple of gobs*** Iron fans from there (not BS), think one of them’s a club singer now or something.

Watched my old mate play drums in a local Scunny band in the 80’s in the Victory Club, good atmosphere, great beer and very cheap too, it being a club. Watch my eldest grandson play football there still against a young Barton team (junior football ) good competetive games between the young lads.
