Cleaned up pretty decent last week against Wealdstone so a bit of perspective is in order I think from the fat French cafe owner.

It was a free hit today and we got stuffed by the best footballing team in the division so well played to them. Disappointing for the large traveling group of Iron fans today but those saying the manager is miles out of his depth should apply the same assessment to all the other managers whose teams have been thumped at Meadow Lane this season, ridiculous comment, the gap between County and the majority of teams in this division is vast.

According to the BBC app we have Ogle in goal. 😂

Well he has got a long throw, chuck it into their area ( 80 yards ) and Bennett knocks it in, simples.🤷

Young Foster in goal isn’t a problem for me, yeah he’s made a few errors, he’s young he’s learning that’s how it is. Chapman has made a couple of errors since he’s been here, that’s life, it happens, it’s goalkeeping. We shouldn’t put too much emphasis on who’s in goal, we should just concentrate on supporting the whole team today and hope they can produce a great result this afternoon.

No mention of Chappers by JD.

JD said today on Humberside that he was making a late decision on Chapman’s fitness and he’s been rested since training on Tuesday, sounds touch and go, also Pugh and Richards Everton both sat out recent training sessions as a precaution. Sounds like we might be a little patched up tomorrow but we have a squad with options in, including the keeper.

The explanation on the site is that the card merchant won’t allow season tickets purchases to be processed via them. Why would they do that?

Maybe on larger amounts, card merchant is susceptible to gambling addiction fraud 🤔😂

Whitehouse gone on loan to Chester till the end of the season, that explains a lot, won’t be here next season, bye Elliott.

SST is correct there is nothing wrong with the card readers because you can still buy match day tickets in the shop/office for this season by card. Hope it’s not a case of who owns what still down at SUFC.

Interesting to read that season tickets are only available if you pay cash

Yes it does seem strange in this day and age, people should refuse to pay cash insisting that card is only available as a method of payment on match day in the stadium. Double standards?

Sounds fine to me although I probably won’t be buying one, my attendance at Iron games is shall we say, a lot more flexible then it used to be. Weekends away and visits to family living away are the priority these days as the years fly away. Having said that I will still be attending the vast chunk of next season’s home games, will stump up the extra cash and buy a ticket two days before a game, as per the norm these days for me.

Well a woman on Facebook changed her ticket so her party could all sit together Lol.

Just a figure of speech in this instance I believe Awaywego, as Noddy Holder famously sung ” Then she’s up and rock-‘n’-rolling with the rest “. I hope all the Scunny fans attending have a right old day out and they will sing from start to finish.

Heath was one of my favourites too, but they have got the right man in the middle!!

I remember his response to going one nil down to Sheffield Wednesday, he rattled their bar with one of his rasping shots.

Remember that well Iron Age and remember the next time he burst through the Wednesday defence to have another go, he was hacked down ( was it Colin Prophet playing for them that day, not sure now ). Terry was head and shoulders the best player on the park in that game although John Barker and Cass quite rightly took the glory honours.

    Fantastic piece of reporting!!

“Nottingham Forest starlet Billy Fewster has been sent back to Nottingham Forest and Scunthorpe boss Jimmy Dean has been explaining why.”
    And then:-
“I won’t give my reasons on air because it’s not fair on him but it’s just one that didn’t work out.”

Not much of an “explanation” then is it?

Conspiracy theory time, I’ll go first.

1- Spat his dummy out after not being automatic pick.
2- Refused to bend over and supply his own lube.
3- Thought Scunny was the hottest night spot town in Lincolnshire, then the reality kicked in.

I’ve said it before JI and I will repeat it now, Terry Heath my all time favourite player to wear the Iron shirt. I was only a teenager when I watched him play for us but to me he was a magician with the ball at his feet, lost count how many times he just ran the game from start to finish, great memories indeed.

Never been an all Manchester Cup Final in over 150 years. What’s the odds?

Haaland first player to score 5 in a Wembley Manchester derby final? Probably worth a punt if the game actually takes place.

I’m sure its raised a giggle among certain sections of Iron fans but losing heavily at the end of a history-making cup run that brought in close to 1 and half million pounds won’t be as funny come the close season when they spend that money on new players as Scunny look on from the NL/NNL(?) as I think that cup money has been sidelined for the transfer kitty.
Enjoy it but he who laughs last and all that…

Actually it’s no different to the Cods not wanting us to go bust but still wanting us to get relegated again this season, I can handle that it’s just fan banter and rivalry between local rivals. Most Iron fans said the Cods had done well to reach the quarter finals and applauded their efforts but similar the majority of Scunny fans wanted to see them get thumped today because of that local rivalry, I’m sure even a misery arse like you can appreciate that Vanadrama.

Chris Sutton has been doing his usual predictions for the cup this weekend and he’s got Brighton down for a 5-0 win, that does seem more realistic TBF.

Fair play to Chris Sutton he nailed this one 👏👏👏

Think Shields has been brought in as a natural replacement for Feeney and is looking better every game he plays. Feeney is still a good impact sub and will be useful as such for the rest of the season if he can stay fit after that bad hamstring injury, they have a habit of flaring up again as a player gets older. I think most people are thinking this is Feeney’s last season with us anyway.

Pointless thread Rene, anybody with a modicum of football knowledge will know the York and Torquay games will be a better indicator if we are progressing in the right way. Notts County away is a free hit, the majority expect a defeat but a point would be excellent and a win unbelievable, most fans are realistic and aware enough Rene without you stating the bleeding obvious. Stay off the sauce there’s a good lad.

Well deserved win today and the lads gave everything, good pressing throughout and never let them settle for long on the ball. Nice brace from Cam, good persistence from Smith for his goal and a brilliant solo effort from young Leake, nowt more to say really except all the knocks people have given Pugh lately must have worked because today he must have been a right little shit to play against in midfield, got in their faces, pushed, hassled and generally pissed the opposition off all game, well done young man. 👏👏🦜PS. We need to hang on to Bennett till the end of the season, proper leader up top.
