I know little about pitches and how long they need to be left before use but one month seems a bit soon. Or is that the standard time, if it’s decent quality?

Also, if it becomes unplayable at some point this season, might there be an option to play remaining home game at Gainsborough? Or at least for the time it takes to install a 3G pitch or new turf?

Seen Counties level pitches in far better state this season, with many more games being played on them (women’s, juniors, youth teams etc). Granted they have more sunlight exposure not having stadiums surrounding them but all the same…

Transparency and accountability is needed. Jerry taking supporters questions isn’t really cutting it.

Will this new entity be applying for registration with the Charity Commission so they are accountable to an independent regulatory body? That would be a wise move to reassure donors about their stated aims and objectives, how raised funds will be spent, and public knowledge about positions / appointments, voting rights, etc. Pretty standard stuff which will help everybody and circumvent the sort of questions and suspicions that have been aired recently.

Bloody demands and grandstanding. In perspective, I’m grateful we have this online space to chat, mostly amicably, about all things Iron. I get the impression that the perceived improvement was from those who were at the match and not either watching on stream or listening to the radio. If they noticed a bit of an improvement seeing the full expanse of the game, it’s a good enough reality for me.

I assume the club will try and keep hold of him till season end. If an offer came in Jan and he wanted to go, the club shouldn’t try and prevent it IMO. Hope he stays and we can command a fee in the summer though.

You could suggest whatever you like Les, but that’s pure speculation IMO. Didn’t you say a few weeks back a birdie told you Butler was losing the dressing room or players were hacked off with him? Does it look that way?

Would we still get a fee if he was sold end of the season? Not au fait with the contract. Wouldn’t like to see him go in Jan. Unless he’s replaced well enough, and I don’t see that happening.
