Why are you still banging on about me making every post about racism when I clearly don’t. If anyone’s crying, it’s you ‘pal’. Stop being a bloody baby ffs!
This problem the club have highlighted about flares being set off and why it’s unacceptable: I expect awaywego to be contacting the club and shouting at them that it’s okay as long as it’s little hooligans who make his away days a more pleasurable experience than boring fans who don’t feel the need to set off fireworks and act like neanderthals?
Although, maybe if everyone turned their minds away from any problems or issues they might just go away? Now there’s a solution for everything!
It’s not though is it BS, you know very well I post about many other topics. If the club have issued a statement that includes problems with racist chanting, then it must have happened and been reported or detected. And no, ffs, is doesn’t control my life.
Racist chanting? Nah, it can’t be true, someone on here said they’d never heard any at a football match.
…used to get better players with potential and occasionally sell them on for good profit, without racking up £11m in the process.

Are they motivated to? The evidence suggests not.

Pointless choosing in my opinion as the debt has gone and there probably won’t be a sale or hire.
LK and awaywego visit the Iron Bar:
So that’s all cleared up then. In future, call awaywego rapid response team! Their strap line is ‘Never knowingly talked sense’.
It was probably less a comment about your vast knowledge of Worthing and more about your view that an article by someone who lives there isn’t worthy. Personally, I think that’s the place you got turned down for that public sector job.
I’ve seen stranger things at matches in the last 40 odd years tbh and it’s the sort of thing a pissed up hoolie might think funny so I’d hardly say you ‘suckered’ me in. Anyway, it pleased you and triple x so that’s nice.

I did make it up you bloody idiot Deerey, Hooligan with flare checks wind direction
I doubt many people on here understand when you’re being and honest and making things up awaywego, such is your logic and reasoning the majority of the time.
Did I say I was there? I didn’t. If Rochdale fans were throwing flares too then they’ve got dickheads too. Most clubs have to be honest. That you seem to think it’s okay says more about you than me.
But your idea of a top bloke is someone who checks the wind direction before they throw a flare in football stadium awaywego. You couldn’t make it up.
I go to away games to watch the match and enjoy a chat with fellow Iron supporters and away supporters. I don’t like having to apologise to away fans about dickheads like those awaywego.
Don’t doubt they didn’t ask to move Cass, but so much easier to move on when receiving abuse, Goode ,Burgess, Wotton and Toney being called ******* useless, have certainly proved them nasty men wrong don’t you think. Just what the OP was trying to get across.
Give it up as a bad job awaywego. You and UTI99 lost this argument before it began. ‘Nasty men’ you say? But you’re quite happy with young hooligans, as long as they’re on your side? Grow up man. Supporters like that at away matches are an embarrassment to any club. It’s cringeworthy to have to witness it and wish they’d stay at home to be honest.

Still treasure my Staffy book (the one with Alex Calvo Garcia scoring at Wembley).

Do you really think if you asked Charlie why he left the club that he’d say he was hounded out by abusive supporters?
I’m not saying abuse of players at games and on social media is justified and personally have never done that, but anyone who puts themselves on a public platform is open to being heavily criticised at some point. I don’t agree with the abuse players have received and I’m not defending that, but I do thing that blaming supporters for any of those players leaving the club and singling out SST is unjustified. There are plenty of players out there that have to deal with a lot more personal abuse than a number of home supporters saying they are s***, that they should leave the club, are ‘wage thiefs’ or whatever. Some perspective is due here I think.
It’s a strange logic that UTI99 has. Like a compulsive desire to blame the fans for anything that goes wrong at the club. A denial to accept the cause of the effect. Groundhog day again.

‘This despite some of you, led by ringleader SST, hounding him out of our club.’
Completely unjustified UTI99. At the time, there was stiff competition for his place and he’s one of many that have thrived since leaving. Pleased for him but as DSGM pointed out, perhaps it’s more the pity that those in charge didn’t recognise his potential. Your ‘hounded out’ comment isn’t worthy of a response other than, if you think supporters have a sway what happens at our club then please explain the situation the club finds itself in at present. I really don’t understand why you continue to beat supporters over the head about situations they clearly have very little influence over.

I remember there were some calls on here to drop Morris due to his attitude at the time and not tackling enough. Not loads but there were some, and a fair bit of criticism that he was a luxury player who we couldn’t justify having on the pitch for his occasional flashes of brilliance. It was about the time he riled some fans with a gesture in response.

Did anyone believe he meant it when he said he thought Bunn would be our other top scorer?
And I think Iron64 makes a very valid point about the opposition seeing the state of the place as they approach. They must think ‘here’s a club who clearly don’t give a toss about the ground, and everyone says they’re hopeless on it too. Let’s batter them and get out fast!’. Also what sort of inspiration does it give to Cox and the squad? Must be disheartening.
These aren’t minor gripes, they effect the very fabric of the club, it’s mindset, attitude and outlook. ‘Shape up or ship out’ springs to mind.
I’m only expressing opinions I and many others, including you, feel Alcazar. And I’m sure there’s plenty of your detrimental comments about me were justified. However, likewise, I will endeavour to keep our disagreements constructive in future and try to avoid the unnecessary bickering and unsavoury reactions.

Wow how did you some of you survive at old grounds like Saltergate? Such snobbery from football customers.
Fans not customers!
Pointless comparison. Saltergate’s been closed around a decade and, perhaps you’re not aware, that s***hole wasn’t the home of the Iron? Personally, I always enjoyed my visits there but I wouldn’t have wanted it as my home ground. Many of us are ex-OSG, so we’re quite used to slumming it mate. Nowadays, we should and do expect better. I suppose you think all those complaining on Twitter are wrong too? Nice try, trying to turn this in to a culture war though. What next, anybody who dare complain about on and off the field matters is a ‘snowflake’?

I took a duster again yesterday to clean our seats, we had been in different seats against Hull City. In my opinion it is a very poor state of affairs. I listened to the Podcast the other night and Mr.Swann laughed this matter off, it matters to me Peter. UTWI
The reply regarding the seats ought to have been, ‘really? I’ve not been down to see, but leave it with me and I’ll look in to it because that’s not acceptable. If I expect you to part with good money to come down here, you should expect better when you get here’. Instead, it’s treated as a joke. And trust me, it’s a lot more than a dozen or so moaners mate.
