‘harried ’em, took a deserved three goal lead’. You must have been watching a different game then because no one around me expected 2 goals let alone 3 the way we were playing. We got a few lucky breaks due to a few defensive blunders of theirs. Those 3 opportunities were well crafted and taken but we were not harrying them at all. Closing them down as we should have been down for 90mins, yes. We didn’t ‘deserve’ a 3-0 lead IMO. And they missed 2 or 3 good chances that on a different day their players would have buried. I don’t think the view you’ve offered is balanced at all. I think it’s lobbying for Hill to be given 10 games. Whether that’s right or wrong, I don’t know, but let’s not kid ourselves we played okay yesterday for more than 30mins. I could understand someone being fairly ‘impressed’ for the first 30mins but what about the 60min shambles that followed?

Flattered to deceive at 3-0. Might have had a shred of hope going in 3-1 at half time. 3-2 forget it. Unless we got a Hill masterclass half time talk. Players probably took one look at his holiday dress sense and lax attitude in the dressing room and thought ‘why should we care?’

1500 Club’s photo and caption of Hill outside the dugout on Twitter is the only time I’ve laughed all day. Thanks for that

Not a huge Oasis fan but we would go to see them a few times in the early days and they were electric. Good memories of being in the Glastonbury crowd for this set. Fade Away…

They were a good footballing side today granted, but tbh they didn’t need to try that hard to turn round a 3 goal deficit against a poor Iron. To be fair they could have had 5 or 6 goals but for some sloppy finishing

He seemed fixated on certain players today rather than seeing the whole pitch and game. Looked and sounded clueless in the second half

How about getting up every day wanting to do better, regardless of the highs and lows? If he’s relying on the highs we’re truly up the creek

Nothing will change until at least the owners sell up.

You can’t blame the owner for that result!!

You can if you’ve got time to get to the real root of the problem. Not if you take today’s game in isolation. It’s a long view and certainly a very long arduous season ahead.

There was no left side of defence at all after half time – and not that much before.
This was a polished side and superior in quality to our team.

How was bringing O’Malley on supposed to improve it? Too many times their no.11 was left unmarked. Hillseemed oblivious to it.

    Another new Low.

Such a poor mental resilience that has been consistent for the past 4/5 years now.

We are in serious trouble unless we get 3/4 new players in.

Not sure even that would make much difference. Current crop are uninterested or unfit. Possibly both.

I’d have been fairly confident going in at 3-1. Not 3-2 though. Got to close them down better in their last 3rd. They could have had 2 or 3 more to be fair.

‘Oh Deerey,Deerey, Deerey me, you lickle liar you were watching Scunny in the 70s, are you for real, we played in blue and white from 60/69 then red and white till 82. Wearing a claret and blue scarf at school f ING hilarious’

Are you drunk? At which point have I said I wore a claret and blue scarf at school?! It was always red and white. So the rest of your abusive post is null and void. Embarrassing

Blimey. He is good. Assists their 3rd goal with a pinpoint cross and should have had another assist. Do I not like that.

Sorry for that LK you were specific, my favourite was Tommy Docherty relegation div2 and all. Then ended up with Sexton not sex how dreary a Wilcox Cox and Hill rolled into one Imo.

I can see a Man U fan therapy group forming.

I’m sure at some point in the future you’ll both be proud again that Man U are your top tier and second favourite team. Suppose I’m a little bitter recalling so many Man U and Leeds scarves at school and getting ridiculed for wearing a Scunny scarf because they were the only team that mattered. Still, what did I know? Bit dense me.

Sorry Deerey I know your a bit dense, ‘them’? Man utd. Lk did allude to man utd in his post.

No need to be insulting old bean. Yes, Man U indeed. Your first team as I recall you saying in the past. Well, certainly the way you talked about them.
