So interviewers who dare question his future are ‘disrespectful’? What does he expect after so many terrible performances and results? Blame anyone but yourself Hill. Wow, how to kick the players when they’re down – tell them they’re suffering from a lack of confidence. I bet a lot of them have other ideas why it’s all going wrong

Surely no one can be saying ‘give him 10 games’ anymore?

Quite right Siderite. You’ve explained it very well I think. I have a few friends who were once healthily sceptical and cynical. Since the pandemic started they’re now full tilt tin hatters. I do believe they’re being conned.

So wtf is going on in training? They’re decent enough standard to compete at this level. And wtf is Hill and Co telling them? They don’t look like they understand him. If we don’t why should we expect them to?

Hell of a lot of unsubstantiated guff and conspiracy theories in this thread. Awaywego even has a crystal ball and can watch a conversation between Lee and Peter. Amaze balls! As in most corners of life, when the going gets tough, just make stuff up to handle the woe and uncertainty

    The loan system needs ending.
Name another industry that ‘loans’ out their employees to smaller companies operating in the same sector.
The big boys just hoover up as many players as they like and farm them out to provincial clubs… just in case.

Happens in many sectors and sports

One of my favourite bands, a love intensified over time since first hearing them around 1980. Man Machine is the pinnacle for me. Only occasionally put them on nowadays but when this came on 6 music yesterday it sounded as brilliant as it did in 1981. Quite prophetic lyrics too if you think about it. We were no way near what they’re saying on this; now it’s completely the norm. Wondrous stuff

Every day, in the left, right and barely any centrist left media it’s the deranged swivel eyed loon, disowned by her own intelligent father, Liz. What’s happened to Sunak in all this? Don’t particularly like either but at least he doesn’t appear to have taken leave of all his senses like Truss.

Ffs, wasn’t even aware anyone was blaming net zero / renewables. But then, I’m hardly an avid follower of those publications and media. On face value I’d say anyone who believes that horse poo needs their head checking.

The costs saved from floodlights would not justify the lost fans who can’t make it, due to work commitments, I should imagine.

The midweek games you mean eh Siderite? We’re not quite back to the 1850s when it became law to allow employees to finish work at 2pm!
