Don’t think you get it Deerey Boards have decisions to make without going back to the shareholders every 5 minutes.
The board seem to have done the right thing in calling an EGM, your probably right though about a fait accompli though, the board will probably sell it as its that or nothing, way of the world I’m afraid .

I do get it, it was more a rhetorical question than a lack of understanding. Like I said, sounds like a fait accompli and with an apparent dearth of supporter social media platforms and independent forums (like Bru), there doesn’t really appear to be a digital outlet for Matlock fans to raise concerns anyway. The ‘investor’ has less hurdles and barriers to navigate and far less legitimate concerns to deal with (or as you prefer to call it: ‘shite’).

Any notes for a Matlock fan. Currently the club is owned by its fans (a season ticket give you a vote/share). The board has called a Emergency General Meeting for 2 Oct to tell us about new investor also tp chan̈ge the club to issues shares, so looks like the board want us to vote to pass the club to our mystery man !!

If the club is owned by the fans how have the Board been allowed to accept investment and spend it without the fans approval? Sounds like a fait accompli.

Siderite’s post is a very good reflection of what happened mtfc. If Hilton is getting involved, remain sceptical of his every move and try not to turn on each other as a fanbase as it plays right in to his hands.

‘just couldn’t hack the shite he took from Everyman and his dog he received here.’

Utter BS. Any criticism and questioning he received from concerned supporters was absolutely justified. It was anything but ‘shite’ and helped saved the club from extinction. You’ve missed out so much wrongdoings in your summary, it’s embarrassing.

Suspect he may be attempting to rebuild his reputation at your club MTFC. Just keep asking him where his money is coming from. See if you get a straight answer. Then try and find evidence of his income. Look at his past filing history on Companies House.

Wouldn’t it have been easier to post virtually the same thing 9 times to actual Matlock fans out there instead of unearthing threads from 12 months ago and clogging up the top end of the board? Have a bit of consideration for fellow posters and moderators who have to check every post mate. Believe it or not, we do have lives.

What’s happened to Simon Elliot? Does he. No longer attend or just removed from his perch?

Listen to the laast Bru podcast interview with Michelle Harness.

If it is indeed him I’m sure the Matlock fans will be singing ‘there’s only one David Hilton’, tattooing his fizzog on their butt cheeks and offering anyone out (and worse) who has their doubts about him in no time. Stone Island and Nokia mobile sales will go through the roof

Agree but I’m a big advocate of using players to the best of their ability so would prefer him on the wing a bit more where he seems more effective

Always thought Roberts is most effective running in from the wing. In the 10 role he seems to run in to defenders too often, though he is improving in that position i think

Yes. Case in point being The New Den which could have easily been named Senegal Fields given it’s proximity.

I think Les has a point too though I would say if we tightened up our passing, control and finishing we wouldn’t be having this conversation. How many MotM has Clunan had in recent games? 2?

Less inclined to apportion blame on to the coaching team over Passing-gate. We are set up right, tactics are right, creating enough chances and defending well. We know the players have better passing and control in them. They just need to improve in this respect is my opinion.
