I don’t blame our caretaker boss, or even our players. They are piss poor, but they didn’t hire themselves.

I think some players have to accept blame as well as current and recent managers. For me the players fall into two categories.
    1. Those that are simply not good enough, presumably they’re here because they’re cheap. We don’t have enough “good” players so some have to play, the managers job is to get them to be as good as they can be. Did Hill and does Daws?
    2. Those that have shown clearly that they have the ability but, for some reason, choose to perform to that level only occasionally during a game and sometimes not at all. Why is something the fans will never know but somebody needs to find out and sort it quickly.

    As are:-
    McSheffrey
    Adkins
    Alexander
    Laws
    Hill
and loads of others. Unless we can get somebody on a rolling monthly contract (unlikely unless desperate) then we’re stuck with what we have until the club is sold.
How likely is that? Ask Alcy!!

He does a good job for the academy and that’s where he should be.

Can you justify that by listing the first team regulars he’s produced in the years he’s been in the job?

Yet another new low, another on Tuesday maybe. Astounding that a novice reporter can see things that our professional management team can’t. After listening to the whole game I still have no idea what system we were playing and neither, it seems, did the players. Embarrassing.

Any chance of a 4-4-2 do you think?

    “the legion of potential buyers.”

We are getting a new super duper one soon not funded by Swann of course

Hope we can take it with us to our phoenix club residence

No doubt a working scoreboard will push up the price for the legion of potential buyers.

Some gems from TD post match:-

“I must say we didn’t turn up on the day,”
“We were second best and for the first time since I’ve been taking the team, we didn’t really look like scoring,”
“we just weren’t at the races.”
“We were too slow in possession of the ball,”
“we didn’t pass it quickly enough to try and shift the opposition,”
“going a goal down so early didn’t help.”
“It was disappointing coming from a set-play.”
“A couple lads switched off and we got done.”

Very good Tony, any fan watching the game would have said exactly the same thing.
Tell us something we don’t know like WHY!!!!
Because if you don’t know why then you won’t be able to fix it will you?
It’s not the first time for many of those points is it?

Interesting that, several months on, the youngsters that Hill used to “try” and keep us in the league are not exactly outstanding when playing several levels lower.
    Anybody NOT see that coming?

Well after reading the latest updates it looks like the “best” team we can field would be:-

    Dewhurst
    Rowe Taft/Young Nlthe
    Ogle Beestin Whitehouse O’Malley
    Lavery Nuttall Daniel
    Bench – 5 youngsters

Should have said that IMO Gallimore is better than Pugh.

Isn’t that Whitehouse’s game? No point playing Pugh as a ball winner, if he wins it he’ll just give it straight back.

No room for him or his like in this current system les. To get a DM in we’d have to lose one of the front 3.

Unlikely, we’ve now got ourselves a team that needs to score 4 to win.

    A 4-3 home defeat a high?
A 3-3 home draw against the third bottom team a high?
    One point instead of 6.
We’ll have to agree to differ on what constitutes a high. You’re happy, I’m not. That’s football for you.

I’m talking this season Cass, Solihull, Dorking and yesterday in particular.

OK, not very high highs then. More averages wouldn’t you say? Bits of yesterday were highish but, taken as a whole match, not for me.

I can pinpoint the lows but I’m struggling with the highs unless you’re going back a few years.

Lack of squad depth (highlighted frequently on Bru) was a major factor yesterday. Where were the game changers, or even game savers, on the bench? We were only missing Feeney, Daniel and Ogle from a realistic starting 11 which would just about give us a match day squad with no allowance for injuries or suspensions. No transfer window restrictions so LET’S HAVE SOME ACTION!!!!

Probably agent greed scuppered it this time, but he’ll be off in January to a league club IF he continues scoring. So a significant risk for Joe and his agent. I’ll bet Mr. and Mrs. S. are livid though at £100k slipping through their fingers.

    £500,000 is also 6 figures.

    From NL News:-

“Iron striker Joe Nuttall is set to stay at the club for the immediate future having turned down a move to National League club Oldham Athletic.
It is understood a six figure fee was agreed between the two clubs for Nuttall, who is out of contract at the end of this season however the two parties could not agree personal terms.”

New contract here or waiting for a league club in January?

It is stated that he promised this that and the other, that his sole intention was to develop the land on which the ground stands, that he doesn’t care about the club or the fans. All wrong.

So tell us one thing that he has promised that has actually happened.
