Irons in the fire for replacement, is Rory available or will it be a loan?
Hereford FC General Manager, Jamie Griffiths said: “Thanks to the great work of the volunteers yesterday, the pitch is currently in a perfectly playable condition, with the covers doing their job and the pitch being protected from the overnight frost last night. At present we remain hopeful that the game will go ahead as planned. However, we appreciate the distance that Scunthorpe supporters, and many Hereford fans will need to travel tomorrow to get to the game, and we are committed to providing an update as early as we can tomorrow morning to help supporters plan their travel accordingly. After discussions with the match referee, we have arranged for a local referee to take a precautionary look at the pitch first thing tomorrow morning and we will aim to provide an update for supporters by around 8am.”
Can’t do better than that, well done Hereford.

She means well but she is clearly being steered by others
Who’s steering then?
I think money will talk Barrie, hope there’s a long queue of potential sponsors with deep pockets.
As I said somewhere else, I would expect any reduced contracts with us to still be competitive at our level, whether that’s NL or NLN. I can’t see many able to step up higher than NL and several have been P/T in the past and might not take too much of a hit if they revert. Let’s be optimistic and say NL could see us still as full time.
Financially, what difference is there between the NL and the NLN? On the field, whether we are promoted or not, I imagine the vast majority of this squad will either have to leave or have contracts renegotiated.
Just had a quick flick back and it would seem that contracted for next season are:-
Whitehall, Kelly, Fitzsimons, Kouogan, Roberts and Law.
Of the others I’d be happy to see 10 leave but hope an agreement (reduction) can be reached with at least some of the others. Not much comment about bias IMO, now ineptitude is another matter.

Won’t this just lead to more time wasting tactics when a team is down to 10 for 5 or 10 minutes?
Theirs for a nominal fee?
Really Which bit?
The football bit.
Ridiculous!!
With Smith and Law supporting Whitehall and both being on the’wrong’ side they are always likely to cut inside and shoot rather than put a cross into the box, clearly JD’s plan. With no wide MFs any crosses are likely to come from FB. Denton’s crosses have a tendency to go straight into the net (good) and so meaningful delivery from wide will always be limited. Slide rule passes from Butters on the deck are unlikely to stick to Whitehall IMO.
Asked for repayment of loan from Hilton (who wouldn’t) but no indication that he is pressing for repayment currently. Directors bring different things to the board (skills in marketing, legal knowledge, business acumen etc) but also, of course, money, much needed by most clubs, especially ours at the moment. I doubt there is a long queue of people waiting to ‘invest’ in The Iron, be grateful for those that are.

Scunny boy?
Scunny supporter?
Have you got nothing better to say, you clearly have issues with both Ian Sharp and Simon Elliott. Jealousy maybe?2 users thanked author for this post.
3 weeks away, bit early to give up isn’t it?
Ref – four notches below the dizzy heights of average!
Inconsistency was unbelievable.
No red for the thug at the end? – 2/10.Just listened to Jim Bentley’s post match interview.
“Referee was exceptional, one of the best we’ve had”Funny old game innit?

“@Spitroasterjim·
37m
Screams of being just another way to con more money out of us fans. As if we don’t already fork out enough as it is.”I didn’t realise that subscribing was compulsory – weird post!!
If Carver and Bennett are doing so well at Southport then why aren’t they with us.Those two have got to be better than Whitehall (who is a joke) and Elliott
A comment that suggests to me that you haven’t seen Carver and Bennett play for Scunny.
A reasonable performance on most of the pitch although we gave the ball away too often with wayward (simple) passes. However absolutely dire in both penalty areas. Plenty of shots on target but, with the exception of the goal, all straight at the keeper, should have been another 6. Defensively frightening, better finishers would have buried us, even Carver and Bennett would have scored I reckon.
Some players might find that a reduced wage at GP is still competitive in NL or NLN.
Depends how deep the cut is. I suppose we can discount loyalty as a reason for staying.Suspect the problem might be him finding one that wants to pay him 1500 per week.
Anybody in Saudi want him? Hope he’s not playing CIH somewhere.
I seem to remember that some/many/most were signed on 1 year deals and I think Butterfield will be OOC in the summer.
A chance they will prioritise the NL and see this as a distraction?
1. I do not understand why not picking your best players is a good idea.
2. Why is my opinion irrelevant? Yours is not the only one possible.
3. “Yet another dig”? Please clarify.1 user thanked author for this post.
So there is no weekly draw then?

He’s a better chance of getting an answer if he asks the right people.
Picking a system and then fitting players into it has been seen too often and absolutely slated on here, square pegs/round holes. I’m still a firm believer in picking your best players and then playing a system that suits them. Does that make it clear?
To Want and expect Swann to walk away with nothing was not being fair he will have left with far less than Wharton walked away with, lets have a bit of fairness in the matter. Lets hope they hand the money over when needed.
Your grand on the way then?
We can only have 5, He came off the bench in the previous match and did nothing to suggest he should be picked in front of a fully fit Elliott.
(Mind you, he might have scored one or both of the Elliott chances last night had he been in the right place.) -
