How the hell Pugh got 2 full games without contributing anything of note baffles me.
I understand the need for rotation over the Easter weekend but Corbett & Clarke hardly got a look in. Has next seasons recruiter made up his mind?

Big ask when there’s hardly any space to run in to and surrounded by 3 giants. You also have to factor in that his game doesn’t lend it’s self to be played in the lone striker role as we’ve seen evidence of many times before.

Balls on the deck for Elliott and he would have skinned the giants surely. If we’d played 2 up and still given them the ball in the air it wouldn’t have made any difference IMO.

I agree with WG (lie down, glass of water and medication) I don’t think he’s perfect but I find it hard to criticise Jimmy after that performance.

He made some good saves and one (Clunan) that was made easy for him. Doubtful if he’d have got MOM if our ‘goal’ had counted. No wonder he laughed, win/win for him.

When they countered we had 2 or 3 players in our box, when we attacked they had 8 or 9 back because we took too long.

Probably but he seems to be more of a “cut inside and shoot” man rather than a deliverer of crosses. As we normally only have one or two in the box for crosses from open play he’s likely to be more effective shooting.
