The town at the Ford of the River Stort was purchased by the Bishop of London in 1060.

    Population: 41,000 – 2020

Distance from Central London = 22 miles
Watford to Central London = 21 miles

[make NL the EFL L3 – have a new NL – and a NLN, a NLC, a NLS]

Yesterday’s defeat at Warrington was their eleventh on the spin.

    BSFC average attendance: 505

Hopefully we will successfully negotiate next Saturday’s banana skin.

Must be looking forward to ending that run on Saturday, another new low for us?

If the same Scunny rock up as did last night dropping points at BS on Saturday would not be a surprise ..it would surely pile on pressure for the board to act… IMO i cant see any results forcing them to sack JD with only 9 games until the end of season n his contract.

It’ll be a new ‘new low’ if we lose on Saturday.

Personally, they’ve burnt me out this season and I would prefer to never watch several of the current squad in a Scunthorpe United team again. For me they can recall all the loanees and lose every game then start again next season.

Here’s my team for Bishops Stortford :

    Campbell
    Ogle
    Butler (player manager )
    Barrows
    Kelly
    Poulter
    Robertson
    Pugh
    Shrimpton
    Wilson
    Bennett

    Subs;
    Carver, Beestin, Poulter, DSF

TJO .. not so much burnt out but fans must be feeling terribly let down and loosing interest fast with seemingly a total lack of passion and professionalism within the first team squad .. by all accounts to a man all were a disgrace last night …. so WTF has happened and is going on JD in his interviews is still what a great group of guys he has.

Fair play to JD in his interviews, it’s not affected his agility, he’s still dancing the Scratchathorus.

If Barrows, Kouogun and Kelly don’t start then it’s definitely a “jobs for the boys” situation.
If Clarke and Youmbi don’t start then Jimmy will have to admit they were the wrong signings.
If Wilson doesn’t start then he clearly has no future at the club.

First team shake up most certainly required .. be interested to see JDs next move for Saturday after last nights debacle.

Jimbob in his post Darlington interview stated a number of times that: “I didn’t see that coming!”

Maybe he should start reading bru?

What do they do during match prep and pre game analysis of the opposition? Everything’s always a laugh and a joke with Pro’s… Billy big-timers with over inflated and ultra sensitive egos.

    Time to WAKE UP!

There’s a ghost train heading our way on Saturday!
They are 12 losing games on the spin.
13 – lucky for some (them?)
    13 – unlucky for us?

Obviously the sequence will be broken at some point and it’s highly likely that it’ll be on Saturday.

A loss or draw for us is unacceptable.
However, a defeat is looking more probable than possible.

Bookies are still playing it cagey:

    Bishop’s… 13/2
    Draw… 7/2
    Iron… 2/5

    Just for reference purposes:

    Bishop Stortford 1-0… 20/1
    Bishop Stortford 2-1… 22/1
    Bishop Stortford 2-0… 40/1
    Bishop Stortford 3-2… 55/1
    Bishop Stortford 3-1… 60/1
    Bishop Stortford 3-0… 100/1
    Bishop Stortford 5-1… 125/1
    Bishop Stortford 5-2… 125/1
    Bishop Stortford 4-2… 150/1
    Bishop Stortford 4-1… 200/1
    Bishop Stortford 4-0… 200/1

    Draw 1-1… 8/1
    Draw 0-0… 14/1
    Draw 2-2… 16/2
    Draw 3-3… 66/1
    Draw 4-4… 200/1

    Scunthorpe 1-0… 15/2
    Scunthorpe 2-1… 8/2
    Scunthorpe 3-0… 9/2
    Scunthorpe 3-1… 10/2
    Scunthorpe 4-1… 18/1
    Scunthorpe 4-0… 18/1
    Scunthorpe 3-2… 22/1
    Scunthorpe 5-0… 35/1
    Scunthorpe 5-1… 40/1
    Scunthorpe 4-2… 40/1

Accidentally lost what I wanted to post.
    So, in a nutshell.
They score a goal a game at home.
    We’re W6 D6 L6 GF22 GA21 GD+1 away from home.
Over the last 4 games to last 12 games we’re taking on average about a point a game.
Over the last 12 games – we sit 19th in the table.
    Stats say it’ll be 1-1

    RB Barrows
    CH Butler (PM)
    CH Evans
    LB Kelly

    RM Wilson
    CM Pugh
    CM Shrimpton
    LM Robertson

    CF Poulter
    10 Beestin

Not sure on Butler as manager. Not sure on who else either!
Perhaps someone who has a real pedigree for developing young players, although other lower league teams have gone for that approach and its backfired.

I’d get Nelson in until end of season and have Butler assisting him. Nelson showed enough last time in temporary charge and knows the club. Least when Nelson took charge he had us playing attractive, attacking football with 2 up top.

Way more than what we’re getting with Dean.

It feels like that ship has sailed, for both parties. Is he currently coaching or managing at Chester-Le-Street? He did a good job at the time and what happened with that may have either left a sour taste.. or maybe unfinished business. The comments about JD being put on ‘gardening leave’ to save money were creative, I never thought of that.

I’d like to think he’d come back. Least he knows the club inside out and showed managerial ability last time, albeit short term.

    BS 1-4 Chorley

The penalty was a soft award.
I’ve watched it at a 1/4 speed a number of times and to me it looks as if the defender got a foot on the ball and the striker fell over the ball / his feet / dived ?

    Awful pitch by the way.

The regular starters need a wake up call and showing that they ain’t indispensable.
There are thousands of young lads who will play for much less than the reputed salaries of our ‘Primadonnas’
