Fantastic message from Jacob on SUFC X. What price/value do you put on a player that wants to play for you that much? Personally if he only played 45 minutes every week I’d still want to keep him. I’m sure agreement could be reached financially in a player/AM or player/coach role if we wanted a solution as much as he obviously does.
Good luck Jacob wherever you end up and thanks for everything.

we’ve seen our big 3 move on

I think Ross Fitzsimons, Danny Whitehall & Cal Roberts might have something to say about that.

Yes Roberts and Law to cover RM as long as one is fit. Having both available at the same time would be a bonus.

Could it be as simple as Ian taking the shares instead of his loan repayment?

I’ve known John for almost 70 years since his move to Scunthorpe, both youngsters on Riddings and, after I moved, got to know him as a man during his time as chairman of the Scunthorpe “It’s a Knockout” club. Top bloke apart from when he was talking trains which bored me senseless. Can there ever have been a more dedicated fan of any football club? RIP John.

But if Swann valued the ground at £11m when he swapped that for an £11m debt and then he sold it to us for £3m we look to have done OK don’t we? Admitedly the debt was down to him but he looks to have lost out financially.

Has the club announced when players are due to return to training? Ins and outs need to be completed (or almost) by then surely.

What was so special about Beckham apart from his me me me attitude in wanting to be in the papers for no apparent reason

    His right foot.
No left foot, couldn’t head, no pace, couldn’t tackle, but magic right foot.

Nothing more boring in football than transfer speculation.

Absolutely the opposite for me – I love it.
    Messi at Forest Pines anybody?

He’s on a big wage (allegedly) so probably out of reach for NL and much of L2. Why would he leave for less money? See my post above – where do they go?

Those regularly injured should have gone.

Not that easy when they’re under contract, where do they go?

Played LMF when I saw him which suits if Butler wants his wide MFs to cut in and shoot It seems to be fashionable at the moment, a replacement/improvement on DS-F? There’s also a possibility that Law & Roberts could be unavailable.

    Announced on Peterborough web site.
Available for Transfer – Kai Corbett. Usual method they employ he has 1 yr left.

Bad news, they might want a fee then? Not silly money I hope, virtually no senior experience so not many clubs will have seen him.

What is the best estimate of points lost by Fitz last season? – Let’s not be too hard on the guy – all good GKs make some mistakes.

The net result of points saved minus points lost would be well in the positive. Certainly he dropped a few clangers and, as a keeper, they usually result in a goal and are long lodged in the memory. A striker missing a sitter has the same net result but is soon forgotten. Lucky to have Fitz, he’s quality and the level we need to get back up the leagues IMO.

People are just trying to remember the last keeper that we signed that improved at The Iron. Can you help?
We also spent most of last season with one keeper, a very experienced one, so you surely have to agree he hasn’t got the most taxing job at the AA.

Makes it even more puzzling that DS-F & McAlinden were ditched. Surely they didn’t price themselves out of a contract?

Give up with these anti Sharp and Elliott (& Turnbull) posts. They said it as they saw it and they saw it wrong. Never made a mistake yourself or said something you later regretted?
