Loving this new version of Whitehall. The last two games have been two of his best in an Iron shirt (even without scoring). He looks well up for it and is winning pretty much everything at the moment!
Great result, not as great a performance but won’t be grumbling too much after our poor performances in the NE last season. We pressed really well when SS were trying to play it out from the back but when they had it in the final third I thought we allowed them too much space and time on the ball.
He didn’t score but that was one of Whitehall’s best games in an Iron shirt. If we didn’t mess up the final pass a couple of times we could have easily scored 4 or 5. Looking forward to the game under Friday night lights now!

Commentators seemed to suggest so, didn’t see it myself.
9 points from 9 and 3 clean sheets, so happy days. But…jeez that was tough watch towards the end. Scored the goal and immediately put 11 men behind the ball often inside our own half. Why do we always do it regardless of who’s in charge!? Please can we also not see Evans in centre midfield again?
Brackley shaded it and were moving the ball around pretty well until we scored our second. Game changing moment was the Fitz double save either side of Nicholson’s goal line clearance. Very different game if that went in (and it really should have…it’s on the Brackley highlights on their YouTube channel for anyone who’s interested).
He’s also about three divisions out of our league!
I also had to re-register. Verification code email went straight into my junk folder though so make sure to check that.
We have Whitehall who blows a bit hot and cold, Carlton who is a winger that AB wants to use as a striker, and Fishburn who has practically zero experience at this level or above. And don’t put Beestin in the mix, he hasn’t competently performed in his natural position for the past 3 seasons let alone out of position as a striker!
Glad they’re taking a look at someone else.

Sneaked the fee up to £9.99 which is pretty outrageous for 1 camera coverage and often no commentary.
Same price as last season.
Nope, last season was £9.50.
Got my ticket, not particularly expecting much though. Not a fan of 3-5-2 at this level, although it seemed to work for Boston last season.
If so then we won’t get anything, sell ons are on profit made…which in this case is £0.
DOLE (doh!)…too late for a crafty edit!
The only people happy with this decision are either retired, on the doll, or don’t work the standard Monday – Friday like the majority of the UK.
(I’m only guessing he’s on a decent wage as he arrived as one of the best LBs in NL.)
One of the best left backs in the NL? Where did that nugget of information come from? He started less than half of Eastleigh’s games in the season prior to joining us.
Might as well close one of the stands for the majority of games whilst we’re at it, must be a cost saving there too.
The Kidderminster game is an evening kick-off. Not my preference but not an outrageous decision.
A game on New Year’s Eve at 3pm is a good idea I reckon, lots of people are off work anyway, can use the game as the starting point of their NYE celebrations, rather than being dragged out of their beds on New Year’s Day. I agree that a bit of explanation of the thinking behind the change would be good but I don’t think it’s a terrible idea, personally.
It is a terrible idea, it’s very much a standard working day for many. Some people have a lot of Friday’s off, shall we start moving games to 3pm on a Friday too?
Hakeeb was incredible for Donny during their run-in last season and has turned down a contract offer from them. I’m sure he’s absolutely gutted he left us whilst we’re languishing in NLN and he’s likely to be playing in League 1 next season.
Who else is playing NYE then Mick?
If they want to trial a Friday night game then they’ve chosen quite possibly the worst option in the season given that we have a game on BH Monday the 26th.
Absolute madness, wtf is going on!?
What idiot has made this decision? 3pm KO on a normal working day is ridiculous. If that’s an error and it’s actually a 7:45pm KO then it’s still ridiculous given that it’s NYE!
Brought a wee tear to my eye, especially the little Wharton ‘nod’. Fantastic work from everyone involved!

Remember Hunter being pretty dangerous against us a few times for Fleetwood in League 1, was always a threat on the wing.
The other two are from the bargain bucket. Ravenhill’s been out injured for an entire year and as mentioned above, Ferguson played half the season for Spennymoor before being shipped out on loan to Bury.
Awaywego, someone who used to have a pop at Scunny fans for being “the worst fans in the country”, surely now takes the mantle as being the very worst of those said fans.

Who are these excellent signings that Brackley have made then? A guy who’s been injured most of the season from Yeovil and formerly of Hashtag United? A former player re-signing for them from relegated Kidderminster? Or Newport’s reserve keeper who’s played 5 games in 3 years? Wow…amazing business!!
We have targeted 5 players who are coming in as trialists who are all deemed worthy/good enough of a first team spot, so they must be of a certain standard.
If they’re deemed worthy of a starting spot then why are they coming in on trial as opposed to being signed immediately?
Last Euro’s we played out a very similary dire 0-0 draw with Scotland in our 2nd game and went on to reach the final. Heck, even Argentina lost to Saudia Arabia in the World Cup group stage and went on to win it. It’s really not the end of the world.
Championship standard? Denmark had one Championship player, Vestergaard, who won the league with Leicester. The rest were all regulars for clubs in the top division of either English, German, Spanish, French or Portuguese football.
England were dire but don’t talk nonsense.
If we’re playing 2 up top then our central midfield is looking more and more lightweight. Who will play if it’s just two in there? Scales and Clunan??
Was really hoping that if we made just one decent signing this summer it would be in central midfield, but looks like we’ve ended up shopping in the bargain bucket for someone who played a bit part role for a lower-mid table NLN team last season. Sigh.
Hope the lad makes me eat my words and turns into a gem.

Last season he didn’t start a game whilst on loan at Tamworth and was on the bench at Buxton for more games than he started…forgive me for being underwhelmed.
