I think DH also says he doesn’t expect the trust would waive off the asset thing.

Anyone got the full article from the Nation league newspaper it doesn’t show it in full missing the bit about the ground being a community asset him not wanting it and the iron trust wavering their right to buy. Will try and buy one if not.

I’ve spoken to someone who has read the article and they explained it to me that DH says Swann hasn’t dealt with asset of community value side of things properly and a way to get around that would be for the trust to waive their claim to it being such an asset.
I could have understood him wrong with Chinese whispers etc but that’s how he read the wording and explained it to me.
Sorry in advance if that isn’t totally correct.

He’s obviously onto the issue, to be fair it’s a minor one compared to dealing with Swann.
Why would anyone be throwing tennis balls onto the pitch ?

Good point Sufc_not_on_tour, we are still deeply in the excrement.
I’m glad Patrick looked after Awaywego and MK and he’s obviously keen to extend hospitality at GP at some future game and clearly has authority from DH to make such kind gestures. With everything that has happened the 2 clubs and their respective fans should have a good relationship, and friendly links.
Whatever anyone may think about IB and his, or her, motives it is apparent that Patrick and one or two others would like to see the back of IB and that worries me as much as anything.

Wins 0-3 and gets slagged, this site is a joke

    Sod it, I’ll bite.
Where has he (Jimmy Dean I presume you mean ?) been “slagged” between the Ilkeston 3-0 win which was yesterday 15th July and now ?

Article in this weeks The Non League Paper about this seasons Tamworth game.
    Their manager Andy Peaks says

“To get Scunthorpe, a fancied team who have just come down and with the history they’ve got, is a great game for the fans and the club to embrace,” said Peaks. “I’m sure we’ll get a really big crowd.

“They are fancied to go really well and their remit will be to go straight back up so as a game it’s a difficult one, but I can’t see any easy games in this league. There are a lot of good clubs.”

There’s also another article in it about the DH and Swann dispute.

Reality is he won’t win, Coolsilk own GP, they are taking him to court to get legal possession of the ground.

AA, regarding your IPO stuff, I think that is only for residential properties.
Wouldn’t GP come under legislation for commercial leases ?

I have to admit that I am at a loss with it all now.
If I understand the situation correctly, it is this :

Swann has issued a statement on here saying he wants to sell GP to Hilton/White but can’t get him to buy it despite offering different options over payment.

Hilton/White has issued a statement on Facebook saying he wants to buy GP, and pay the proposed price, but Swann won’t sell it to him.

I don’t know, have I completely misunderstood the situation ?
What is an ordinary person who supports the club, supposed to make of it all ?

I read it like Deerey, that the writer is suggesting Ironbru is toxic and blames the situation on the Facebook group for causing it.
This forum is not toxic, or I wouldn’t be on it.
If you are Swann, Hilton/White, Dean, or anyone who unconditionally supports them, then you probably don’t like some stuff that’s on here.
There are a few posters on here whose opinion I don’t agree with whatsoever, and for a start when I joined I wished there was an ignore button, but the fact there isn’t an ignore button is actually the best thing about Bru. I have to read everyone’s opinion, and actually consider it, I then choose to think “that is utter garbage” and ignore it or post a counter opinion.
It’s no different to standing on the terrace at a game, the guy next to me at the last home game hated Owen Foster, thought he was shite and was happy to tell me about it. I think Foster was good, with a lot of potential and I thought he’d get a move somewhere better and said so. “Maybe he will”, said the guy “but he won’t make it….”
We fundamentally disagreed but talked about it which is how football and football fans are and always will be.

Preseason is pretty meaningless, after all we beat Sheffield Utd about a year ago.
The Brigg game ended early as well.

Remember Ramon Calliste ? Signed by Laws from Liverpool, broke his ankle in a preseason game at Brigg and I’m pretty sure that basically ended his career.
It would be very risky for unregistered player to play.
Should be registered to play though by now, surely ?

Unfortunately for Hilton/White all of his actions just underline any doubts that are there about him. If he was Dave the normal businessman he’d just be getting on with running his businesses including sufc. Instead there’s a pantomime of shite on firstly twitter, then Facebook and now he’s trying to infect this site which has proven to be the last and only place where some sort of sane discussion about events takes place.

SUFC, with its new board of directors, needs to make contact with Coolsilk and agree a sensible, adult way forward to complete the purchase of GP.

I wouldn’t have kept him, but to say he’s rubbish is just insulting the guy which a lot of fans seem to like doing. He’s had a career as a professional footballer and I thought in Nelson’s teams he did ok. I’m not going to go back and check but in the games I watched we probably got better results in games he played. A good signing for Worksop.

Good luck Capt C, I’m sure Grimsby won’t be near the league 2 trap door.
The reality for us is that the bookmakers won’t really be interested in NLN, as for the FA cup we’ve got to qualify for the first round….
The Mariners did well to escape the National League without throwing an insane amount of money at it which I fear, if we survive at all, Scunthorpe will have to do.

I really rate him and think he will do well, when you consider the shite team he’s played all his first team games behind he’s even better.
If Hull do send him out on loan let’s hope it’s a league above NLN, don’t want him turning up at a rival….

Stop mentioning Facebook,I then go , check and see this garbage https://www.facebook.com/groups/1019664078503060/permalink/1663175277485267/

Thanks for that 64 ..i am a tad anti SM (fb twitter etc) but some interesting reading and a few warbles made me chuckle, not seeing anything too controversial from DH DW.

Yes thanks 64, interesting reading ! If I try look at Facebook it keeps asking me to sign up so I can’t read anything but I can via your link.
Apart from using the name White instead of Hilton, the name he is now known by, and basically telling someone to put up an oil rich Saudi with £200 million or shut up. Nothing controversial at all, reading that link everyone seems very happy, the new players are more interested in the project than the money, and now even Wilson can be arsed again and Butterfields thinking it might be ok.

Hilton is doing what he’s doing, whether anyone agrees or disagrees,he owns the club so that is that. Unfortunately Coolsilk Ltd own the ground and they are doing whatever they want to do and that is that.
It does seem to me that he is trying to fall out with anyone who doesn’t give 100% support to his way which does make me think he’s looking for an easy way to walk off.
Unless they are all just made up people on social media who don’t really exist 😬
