    Tuesday the 30th.

Jimbob, our “Puppet Master” will be pulling the strings as we start to “Klaw” our way back to the top of the table!

    Jimbob’s more like Fingerbob.

    Tuesday the 30th.

Fingers crossed that there’s no Storm Sue or Storm Johnny or even a “Hyperstorm” (Sue & Reeds grandson) battering the AA next Tuesday.

A couple or eleventeen (Worzel) of you may have me down as “Doctor Doom” but don’t be fooled by that “Fas(s)aud”… I’m just an aging “Silver Surfer” who wants us to be “Victorious” in every game.
Come tomorrow, and there are just Four Fantastic days to go until we battle the “Galactus” known as Tamworth.

Jimbob, our “Puppet Master” will be pulling the strings as we start to “Klaw” our way back to the top of the table!

    Things ain’t so “(Ben) Grimm”

    “It’s clobbering time!”

    UTI !

And there’s the problem… we don’t even have a mere four fantastic players.
Only Fitz, Ogle & Butterfield are good enough.
The Avengers avenged that opening day of the season result.
They weren’t great either but they did what they do… win games.

When two irresistible forces meet 2 immovable objects?

When the two best strike forces meet the best and third best defences in the league.

If there is a positive outcome in favour of one team it will be the result of a mistake.

They are five clean sheets on the bounce.

    Iron 0-1 Lambs

    Sadly; as expected.
Six clean sheets on the spin.

It’s lose and the play offs.

12 points is definitely not insurmountable with 17 games remaining, especially as Tamworth would have 15 games left.

Absolutely not… but we’d be up against it.

    Lambs are currently 4/6
    Iron are 6/4

Let’s see what tonight brings and then have a look at those odds tomorrow.

    Season Ticket Lottery

Add £20 to the cost of a season ticket – roughly equivalent to paying for one extra game.

    1,000 ST x £20 = £20k
    Drawn home matchdays
    23 x £500 (prize) = £11,500 (prizes)
    Club = £8,500

    2,000 ST x £20 = £40k
    Drawn home matchdays
    23 x £1000 (prize) = £23k (prizes)
    Club = £17k

    3,000 ST x £20 = £60k
    Drawn home match-days
    23 x £1000 (prize) = £23k (prizes)
    Club = £37k

    4,000 ST x £20 = £80k
    Drawn every Saturday
    52 x £1000 (prize) = £52k (prizes)
    Club = £28k

I am worried that this game will end up being a no score draw, this result will suit Tamworth, and it will go a long way to them ending as automatic winners of the league.

    PREDICTION – SCUNTHORPE 0-0 TAMWORTH

    ATTENDANCE – 5,803.

    As many as that?
    How many are they bringing?

If Whitehall ain’t too rusty, he may Nick a goal to make it 1-1

Let’s be honest the squad is a great squad of players for this level but we lack any real depth.

    So… it’s not a great squad.

    Season Review 2023-24 DVD

All the goals scored and conceded by the Iron from every game this season.
A minutes footage (build up & celebration) per goal and it’ll probably be about 2 hours long.

The shortest score-cast prices for Saturday’s game:

    1-1… 5/1
    0-1… 7/1
    1-2… 15/2

Clean sheet for us stops them from scoring for the 10th game on the bounce.

    Living The Dream!

Every home game, one Fan gets to experience match day up close and personal as if he’s a player.

Report at the same time as the players.
    Pre-match meal.
Change in to SUFC kit in the dressing room with the players.
Take part in or be around the warm up (where applicable… not including technical drills)
    Pre-game managers talk / instructions.
Run / walk out with players.
Seat on the bench for the game.
Dressing room for half time managers debrief and instructions.
Back out with players – seat on bench.
Managers post-match debrief in changing room.
    Change back in to civvies.
    Post match meal in restaurant.

    Cost: £1,000

Season income = £23,000 plus Cup games.

Some might say that this is too ‘intrusive’ and would be a hindrance on match days.
Ranting & raving and ‘information’ can be heard being transmitted from the dug outs in every game – what we never see or hear is the private discussions in the changing room.

A pre-event meeting between the Fan and the Club Secretary could be used to discuss the day and a code of conduct and other guidelines to be reviewed and agreed to.

    What an experience!
The closest you’ll ever get to ‘living the dream’

You want me to pay a grand to spend all that time with Dean??

Pay a grand to ensure he stops in pboro today and doesn’t come back…

    Short trip for him today.

Shame it’s not run by the club though.

    Popular with us older guys.
But, because it’s walking, it could be an open age tournament.

Have the Iron got a walking football team? Apparently there is a lot of money to be made by letting a load of old gits dodder all over the pitch, and it can get competitive.

    Just a thought. UTBI

It was one of my other thoughts.

    Walking 7 a side Tournament
    16 teams
    4 leagues of 4 teams
Top team from each league go through to semi-final
    10 members per team
    £10 entry per player
    £10 x 10 x 16 = £1,600
Run it monthly sept to June

Winners name goes on the trophy which they bring to defend at the next tournament.

    10 x £1,600 = £16k
